I have to check that trail out, my biggest fear is getting lost, just got some new ASOLO hiking boots and definitely have to put them to good use. A little tip, banana peels, orange peels can be put on the ground, it’s like compost, everything else you bring back with you. Great video here by the way. Love it.
Well, that was a fun hike! I’m curious what all the structures and old pipes were from? I haven’t made it to New York yet- hopefully some day. Thanks for a fun video!
Those ruins, stone structures and pipes all are remnants from 1930s by CCC. All but one, Island Pond, out of 30+ lakes are also handy works by young men in that era. 👍
Have you ever walked this path when it's mud season, around early April? Just wondering if it's a low enough elevation to be relatively safe to walk at that time.
We have never actually hiked here in early April. However, it’s definitely at a low enough elevation to be totally safe! Unless it’s right after a big snow/ice storm, or a super cold April day, totally safe!! Have fun!
Thanks for the question! So for the most part, most trails start at an area called a trailhead and have a designated parking lot for the trails in that area.
I enjoyed that video very much! Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it! Have you ever been to Harriman State Park?
@@workingforthevan9280 yes, i love it there
You guys look like a great couple! Enjoy the adventure!
Thanks Kris!
We are fully moved into our van, full time van life! Subscribe to follow the fun!!

Indeed it was a fun hike! We are curious as well as to what the structures and old pipes were from. If I do any research I'll let you know!

Where do you guys park your car when going on a hike?

That water is so clear you could probably just drink it straight from tge lake.
Can you show the whole park
Yes!! We plan on spending more time there this summer and will make some more videos
@@workingforthevan9280 cool!
I go up there all the time on my motorcycle,
If u see me riding a yellow and white m.c.
Give a wave👀🙂
We will be on the look out for you!! Hoping to get up there a few times this winter.
i will!
Friendly advice: don't wear black pants in tick country! Harriman is loaded with ticks, but if you wear light-colored pats, you can spot ticks easily!
thanks for that advice John! Good to know
