I subscribed to your channel because I am from Westchester and I just came across all these AMAZING lake videos from my neck of the woods in the Hudson Valley - BIG thumbs up!
I’ve fished Harriman my entire life (I’m a local). It’s a great park with some Great Lakes. What upsets me the most in the increase in people who fish and do not release what they catch. Also people who take bass from the like during spawn. These lakes are not regularly stocked due to this.
I fished that lake off shore for many years..the best bait Is crawfish..not easy to catch..but they're under the rocks in shallow areas.. there's also eel and catfish.. best bait it fillet of bluegill! I like your videos..Ken angler 👍
hey question.. these keys are you buying them or renting them?? like do you have to return it??? curious , I'm moving up to the area so wanted to know.
Man I have lived 10 min from this lake for 10 years and I have never tried fishing let alone getting a kayak im so down for this now thanks for the inspiration!
The smallmouth are always going to be on those main lake points and rocky structure! and also a guy told me that theres also smallmouth at Blue lake and he should me pictures! its crazy that there is smallmouth in that small body of water!!
I always enjoy seeing your fishing adventures up there. It's great seeing you try new techniques and fish all those waters while you're out there. Tight Line!
Hang in there, trust me, it's a grind and labor intensive. Just keep posting your adventures and with time your audience will grow. Try to do collaboration videos with other TH-cam'ers. That will bring in more than usual on the subscriber numbers.
We fish off that small island on the lake over deep weed beds during summer when bass are tight lipped. We get a nice amount of smallies and a ton of pike in that area. Get your butt down to Rockland lake in the spring and stop waisting your time there in Harriman. Good luck
Haha, I admit I laughed at “pickerel..ughghhh”. 😂 I love catching them! My trick is to use a long snap swivel on fast moving baits when I know there are a lot of pickerel active; it seems to really prevent those teeth from taking my stuff 😀 Just wanted to say, I know you’ve left NY now but I want to thank you so much for taking the time to put out these detailed videos about kayaking the local lakes here! These videos are sort of like having a local friend to explain the whole access thing-super helpful as I’m just going into my first full season kayaking locally. So: thank you!

Do you really live in the Hudson Valley?
I used to when I was active duty Marine Corps.
Very good smallmouth baits are drop shots, craw colored crank baits, and jigs or tubes!
Thanks for the advice, i'll surely try some out when I go back.

Gotta watch out in the summer, tons of snakes under the boat launch.
I never would've thought there would be snakes there. Thanks for the heads up!

How much of your catch is in credit to your use of the fishfinder as opposed to just free fishing?
Stick baits or Yamamoto senkos
what type of stick baits? Suspending, floating, or sinking? Or does it not matter?
Suspending is the best for tioroti and senkos too black with blue or red flake
Thank you...
I just wonder if the kayak & fishing stuff are rental or yours...enjoy it..¤▪☆○•°~`♡😙😉
