@ ViewCation ; What about the Visitors Interpretive Center in Paul Smith's NY? It has a butterfly garden and a tagged butterfly was discovered in Mexico.
Wondering if someone could help me out. I would like go to this place for about 4-6 days. My thoughts were to find a good camping area that provides decent privacy and swimming options. Hopefully the campground is in a location where we can go on 1-2 excursions a day in the area. For instance one day the wildlife centre. Next day Indian Head Trail. Next day go to a mountain peak or do the 4 seater bike tour. Anybody have any suggestions on where to go and bonus points for order. Its only 5 hours away from where I live and I have never been there yet.
Wilmington Notch State Park just outside of Wilmington might fit your needs. Well-maintained campgrounds, a beautiful waterfall easily viewed from the park grounds, numerous trails nearby, several good swimming holes just a few minutes drive away, and good eating places nearby make it a good choice.
I loved living and growing up in New York. My dad was very adventuress and took us everywhere. We even went to see all the Forts in and around the area. Beautiful state for sure !
Loads to do in the summer months. "Leef peeping season" is beautiful in the fall. In the winter, there's skiing, snowshoeing, winter hiking, etc. I'd like to try a dog sled ride. I guess the answer is, "it depends on what you're into."
The Adirondacks are nice , living in new york most of my life I have to say if your looking for that experience its where to go. But over the last 5 years , I have seen a lot of the opposite. Hearing recently that there has been people treating some people poorly to mess with there mental health putting them through stuff ,people being isolated put through terrible situations for yrs with no help . Hopefully this changes as far as new york goes , hopefully this isn't happening in other states also.
@@OnViewCation I live in New York. I figured I would comment on present situation of New York. Don t have a specific location off hand but if I come up with something I will drop a comment . Thank you
Lake Champlain is NOT in the Adirondacks. Did you mean Saranac? In any case you're mixing up the lakes with the towns. The town of Lake Placid is on Mirror Lake, not Lake Placid...
Nope. Ya never been to the...Adirondacks? Just took a collage of videos, pasted'em together like a travel brochure, Googling info on each. Ya missed quite-a-lot.
Remarkable cave is not in the adirondacks it's in Tasmania. Look at the source I went crazy looking for this place is in Australia! This video is bogus.
So many people complaining about this video you do know TH-cam is open to anyone posting their own video right? If this video is done poorly please make a better one. I for one would love to see it bc I genuinely want to visit the Adirondacks. But to complain for the sake of complaining is more annoying than the video.
There are famous Howe Caverns in Cobleskill, Upstate NY. I think this small town is not on the AD mountains, but caverns are wonderful! People do not walk around, there are tours organized for the groups. There is also a large souvenir shop in the area, restaurant, and a place to observe a wonderful view around the area. Also, in close proximity to those cavers there is an Iroquois museum, which looks nice. Couple years ago a ticket to Cavers costed 25 dollars. And take a warm jacket when you go to the Cavers, because they are deep (there is an elevator going down), and even in the hottest summer days it is cold there
Before you make a video about a place you need to learn how to pronounce it. Au SABLE falls. Separate it and emphasize the “SABLE”. It’s a dead give away that you are ignorant of the place you are describing.

Ride the McCauley Mountain chairlift during fall foliage months - spectacular views and color,
You missed the Adirondack Experience (formerly the Adirondack Museum) just outside of the village of Blue Mountain Lake. It's GREAT!
Thank you for letting us know! We'll note and check it. Which other city/location would you like us to cover next?
I really enjoyed this video. I hope to visit this area sometime in 2023?
Please do! Be safe and have a great day ❤
Now it’s March 14th 2024
A fire tower 3800 feet above the ground? Now, that's a climb!
How about Fort Ticonderoga?

The Adirondack foothills meet the shore of Lake Champlain, so I would say the lake is in the generously-defined Adirondack "region."

Either way the video is helpful to people considering visiting the Adirondack 🤷🏾♀️

This video was soooo disappointing. Clearly, this is all secondary or tertiary
Information. You have missed the essence of the ADKs. What a shame.
the fire towers are 20 ft above ground

I like this vid.

I think the video is referring to the Natural Stone Bridge and Caves in Pottersville, NY. (in the Adirondacks).

Ausable is pronounced aus Able

This video is crap, seems AI generated and has so many things wrong.
Ever seen the Watchman River channel?
Stop showing people this part of new York state. All the loser movie stars and celebrities are ruining it, and making it hard for locals to live here.
