you know what.. when the name is skydome, it is actually suitable for sky only, not trees or landscape. you should use 360 background for that purposes.
Open paint bucket and click on the crayons, colour wheel or any of the others and what you’ve selected will be displayed for use. You have to cancel it using the red close button though.
A half dome wouldn't look right in VR. What's the size limit for a full dome? Oh, in the rest of the video you build a full dome. Does this get in the way of building your model inside it? What is the size limit?
@@SketchUp Ah maybe it is not working in the web free version, in that case nevermind. I looked at this texture->projected texture context menu, but it does not seem to appear in the free version.

Can we get an accurate representation of the sky?
No, we have an accurate representation of the sky at home.
Accurate representation of the sky:

That is the default color picker on Mac. On Windows it will look different.

Is your texture set to Projected?

..and when you render skydome, it cuts sun light.....
Skydome, no thanks....
sun light can still penetrate if your skydome is png, i use it often. how to create png skydome is another story.
Great point! If you enter the skydome group, select the surface and in Entity Info turn Casts Shadows off, you should fix that.
