Great basics! I taught manual drafting roof plans for over 20 years and I think it would be great to have a resolve roof tutorial …. Complex one! SketchUp has many great advantages.
I am very pleasantly surprised by how well these locks have been included in the iPad version! I wasn’t expecting any of them to work and most of them do! Very helpful!
Excellent video! I almost passed it up because I've watched other videos on referencing, but I picked up a few new tips. I would love to see a video on resolving a complex roof.
Very useful reminder that I should use that hovering technique much more. Thanks. Is there any chance you could also cover the problem that often occurs with short lines when cropping solids?
Thank you sketchup this has been really helpful. I will appreciate if you can do something on roof types like overlapping roofs etc. thanks, yours truly Chibite.
Hello Tyson! Good that you explained this again. My question: is there a way to also align the protractor to a reference axis? Let's say you have an eave that is sloped in plan and you want to apply an angle at right angles to it. --- 90° to the eaves edge and then measure any angle. Then neither the selection of the red, green, blue, black or magenta colored axis fits. Do you know what I mean? Many greetings, Thilo
Good tutorial. I def learned new things there, specially the down key and how to use a combination of modifiers. You just lost me a few times just saying "lock" or not specifying which key you were using at times. Maybe key log window next time? tks!
One of the best tutorials I've seen on inferencing - short, clear, and shows complex examples.
Thanks Tyson, despite having used Sketchup for many years, I still find new work flows in these types of skill builder videos.
Same here. Thank you Tyson!!!!!!

Excellent as usual. I've been enjoying many of the SketchUp videos.
I'd love to learn more on creating complex roof designs.
Keep the videos coming!

Excellent video! You should do a video on creating complex roofs with solid tools
WOW! been using SU since startup and learned new things....especially the subtle difference between edge and point inference
Shame I'm only seeing this now. It would have helped me a lot over the years, thanks a lot.

Great stuff. I didn’t know about the Down Arrow changing the inference to 90°
Gotta give it up for a awesome video! Thank you for this time saver!

Please always use a lavalier/lapel mic, you'll always get great audio. This was hard to listen, very soft inconsistent audio. Great info though, ty!
Thanks Tyson, but I can't find those Aaron keys 😁
