Yeah that extended middle part with the vocals that echoes the synth from verse 2, it's so nice.

Matt mentioned in a radio interview that there will be a piano piece on this album 😄. I am really looking forward to that one in particular!

There is always that one muse song on every album that becomes my fav and I already think that this is it. Superb, just superb. Goosebumps from Matts voice and just epic 80's nostalgia vibes for me and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Nightrider segment. Thanks for the epic breakdown. Great to hear those little bits that make all the difference

I can understand the communication they want to bring : Muse want to show us that the Rock side is still here (Won't Stand Down), and has never been so worked.
But they also want to show the Pop Era (Post Resistance) is also still here and has never been so worked, like the Rock side.
This is why we have 2 very differents singles to begin this album :
They want to unite the Rock fans and Pop fans of Muse together.
PS : I'm sorry for my bad english, I learn this language ^^'

There’s something very Daft Punk about it (reminding me of Robot Rock) & I love it as much as WSD already. The vocals are sung so good n wondrously sung in both new tracks.
Soo can’t wait to hear these album songs live!
P.S. You may be thinking @ 12:38 of Hyper Music - just a guess

Love your breakdown videos man. Would be cool to see some more muse or maybe some other artists you enjoy as well. I know you said that you weren’t as into album post resistance, but the 2nd law could be a cool album to breakdown as there’s lots of hidden elements in those songs.
My favourite muse song? Probably Knights of Cydonia will always have a soft spot

I love the bass so much. It really makes the song because it's such a counterpoint to the strictly played keyboards. OMG fab.

Look forward to your reactions since I found your channel. You most likely have found it by now, but the non music video version has an extended bridge.
Btw my favorite Muse song is Map of the Problematique. The mixing isn't great but the live versions are always better anyway.

I think I read someplace that Bellamy doesn't like to write "riffs" but likes to arrange his music closer to an orchestra than a conventional three piece band. I could be wrong, but that's probably why much of his music sounds greater than their parts.

during the breakdown, i swear it sounds like they are running the lyrics "won't stand down" through some heavy effects to drown it out. It's as though this is anthem of opposition blasting the air waves to drowned out the will of the people.

some more "elitist" muse fans (or just fans who prefer rock) don't love this song, but personally I liked it the moment I heard it. i couldn't help but groove along and smile. my only gripe is that the lyrics are a bit too literal, the theme is interesting but the lyrics themselves don't leave much to the imagination lol

Similarly to you I couldn't get into the newer albums. I don't like Won't Stand Down much, but this is an uptick. I did like BHAR better than Resistance though. Origin of Symmetry for me is the best album made by humans in front of Parachutes by Coldplay and Frengers by Mew.
