I always liked this game the only issue I had was that they switched the weapon arrangement and you could only carry two of them other than that it was another gears of war for me
"War is cruelty, and this one's not over". I initially didn't like Col. Loomis, but his character has grown on me since the game released. It was interesting to see a more jaded character that was different from Marcus. Marcus was getting tired of the fighting whereas Loomis leaned into it.
Seeing General Karn for the first time made me have a different perspective on the locust horde, like it shows that not all locust are big buff and strong like your typical locusts.
Perhaps it's some sort of subtle story telling by the devs showing that earlier in the war, the Locust had Generals that were more reliant on technology and war tactics, and when they were killed they were eventually replaced by Generals like RAAM and Skorge who relied more on their Brute strength and Agility.
For me Judgement was last true Gears of War game, I liked it. Also I really liked the idea, that story was told in retrospect from different characters and through challanges you could change their testimonies. Also I really enjoyed the fact, that this was Gears game, where we could see COG architecture at its peak, because war just started and not everything was in ruins. Paduk was great character, Sofia was good, and Loomis was was also great. Loomis actually served maybe bigger role for overall Gears plot, because through his orders and stubborness we can see why was COG was losing to Locuts. They probably wieved Locuts just as animals that are not capable of strategy or tactics.
The game has alot of issues BUT I love the replayable arcade elements of the campaign and also Overrun is a top tier mode that deserves to be expanded upon.

I think that they should have given it the same treatment as the retro lancer (that it was an outdated weapon that was put back into service because of everyone going nomad in gears of war 3).

Oh and with some final big battle between the two factions that is supposed to be a defing moment in history by the people that will decide the true victor of the pendulum war. Accept no one knows who will win.
@@KnightSlasher Yeah 5 multiplayer is lit. I love being able to play as all my favorite characters from Benjamin to Dom, and horde is lit. The only issue I have with multiplayer is the movie characters, it really takes you out of the immersion of gears. Judgment multiplayer was trash if you ask me, so gears 5 is definitely better in that aspect. Story wise 5 is nothing but sjw nonsensical virtual signaling trash, while judgment is a good story with a major plot hole.

Personally believe judgment and Aftermath were supposed to be dlc for gears 3 like raams shadow but Microsoft demanded new a game so epic handed two dlc's to their subsidiary to do the work hence why judgment plays more like gears of duty instead of gears of war

I actually enjoyed this game very much ! I liked the way the story was told through each perspective throughout a trial ! I mean it was nothing special , but I enjoyed it ! I understand that many had a hard time going to judgement after just getting a great sequel in gears of war 3 ! I feel if judgement had come out before 3 , it might have done better , but going from such a great sequel and trilogy to a single standalone smaller story ! I guess people wasn’t expecting that ! However I think it was fine , but I understand why not everyone could get on board with judgement ! But I still enjoyed the game very much ! 💯

It may also be possible that Baird caused Marcus's scar to happen with the lightmass missle. There was a brief section in the game where Omega squad was requesting assistance and the voice requesting it was very recognizeable as Marcus's. After Kilo squad used the missle Omega squad said they were a little burnt up, but fine for the rest and thanked for the assistance.
Loomis was a damn fool. He refused to adapt his tactics to the enemy and constantly underestimated them, believing they were little more than feral animals even as they outmaneuvered and overran his soldiers. His actions would earn him a date with a court martial on charges of negligence in many other situations.
Judgment would be one of my favorite gears if it had a decent multiplayer instead of cog v cog, and also had you using retro lancers instead of lancers. Really hurts to see lancers in a time before they were made.

To me Jusgement was just too different of a game to the original trilogy to feel like it was part of the same franchise. From turning it into an arcade style point/star system to the story changing based on challenges made it feel like it wasn’t REALLY what happened. It just felt like a dlc story sort of like raams shadow imo and not an entire new entry to the franchise.

Gears 5 is actually pretty good multi-player wise I do like the class system and the fact you can put fortifications anywhere in horde mode

Gears Judgement was a good effort of trying to freshen up an established formula.

It may not be a fan favorite like the trilogy of GoW we know and love, but I do love the soundtrack that Judgement had given.
