Yeah it would interesting to see something from the pendulum war, if not a game than at least a dlc or even missions that involved flashbacks of key moment from the war, would be neat to see what kind of weapons they used and how it'd give a different feel using them on your fellow man and not on some unfeeling and amoral monster.

GOW is in need of new writers and game developers, how many games are we going to gwt the same flub story and equipment, they are fighting gian monsters to hyper mutated foit soldiers etcetera yet they get equipped with peace shooters no air cover no tanks no shielding (even though they have an invisible flying robot,smh) the COG should be putting in work to catch up and surpass the locust the DB bots lol, are cool but useless just look at gears 5 DB should have made a powered exoskeleton for use by Onyx Guard first (a dlc game of course) then all of rhe Gears and Marines as they get better equipment they pass on their old equipment to COG Militia and "Police" forces (another game idea) the doom and gloom of the Gears games is played out just like it is in Halo (my fave btw,) there should beca game focused on a another team (COG Intelligence) whose job is to search serra for other human settlements in order to unite all the humans against a greater threat and bring back the Navy and Air forces and stop being lazy in regards to designing ships and aircraft i look forward to a Gears Airborne Operation!
To be fair, SS wore black, gray and silver. Kind of is reflected in how the elite units of the COG are wearing blacked out gear with bits of silver. Though that's not necessarily saying the UIR are any better. They're just a different type of shitty corruption.
@@Khornecussion I'm being pedantic here but those black uniforms were purely ceremonial and never saw use in combat. SS troops either wore feldgrau grey uniforms or dot 44 camouflage.

Your videos are always great but this UIR one was REALLY interesting. Even though fighting the Locust was the main priority, the Pendulum Wars were always in the background, it was only later that got a sense of who some of the UIR were.
@@pallani8471 the locus would probably attack earlier after noticing they are working together and with the mass logistics going on in prep you can argue youre even more vulnerable to attack
I always wonder what happened if UIR win the pendulum war they enter E day, could they able to defeat the locust horde and lambent or they lose the war that’ll be the end of the humanity and the world
I was very interested in this particular part of gears lore. I was thinking also, since in this world of Sera, since Tyran is basically English, might as well use real world languages, and just call it something else. I don’t mind a combination of Slavic languages to represent the Uir, and Spanish and Italian, representing some of the more Latin based countries, south east Asian languages for Kashkur. It’s not like anyone’s gonna call out the coalition for doing so, even though, considering the English is in almost world of dominated language, especially in most media, so I think they can get away with it. Hopefully gears of war six will also shed some light on the world of Sera.
I want a UIR game, set in the pendulum wars, E day and even the UIR Cival war/Mutiny That would be amazing, some fresh characters, fresh weapons and equipment, through the eyes of the other side
My IRL name is from a Russian king and I've always had an enjoyment for Russia. In Gears 5 I always play a UIR officer but I wish we got the UIR Elite skin too. I hope we get custom characters in Gears 6 something similar to Halo:Reach I also surprisingly share some of Paduk's mindset
Just revisited this video: the potential of seeing E-Day from the UIR perspective is immense, I’d absolutely love to see that while you play as Paduk or as an entirely new UIR protagonist; personally, I find the UIR’s whole concept very cool, they’re the Soviet Union with nomadic qualities, the space race parallels are great too, it’d be so sick to learn that their lunar mission was successful and that the idea of the Locust coming from one of the moons as said in Gears of War 2 was expanded upon. If it was up to me to make a reboot or spinoff of Gears of War I would change it so that the UIR was never defeated. I think the UIR could have been really interesting if they still existed during the locust war. Maybe as a second enemy to the Locust or maybe as an enemy that turns into an ally against the Locust. I think they could have been an intriguing faction in the franchise who brought a different perspective of the war and seeing both factions going from being enemies being required to working together but still not liking each other.
Well technically it wouldn't be sharing but straight up charity but still the U.I.R and COG had a history full of conflict even before the Pendulum War their cultures are just too extreme for them to get along in large numbers thats why the surviving U.I.R at the end of Gears Of War 3 went to their own little area to get away from the Surviving COG.
You know the funny thing is I wish to God that made a new gears of war game you play as uir soldiers. Do have to admit that the uir it's one of the best things that they added the new gears.
If they do a pendulum wars game it would have to focus on the leadup to the end, and then Emergence day. Personally I'd choose the focus group to be one of the UIR nations that surrendered with the week/couple week timeskip to E-Day and have the Locust doing a military push through their territory to hit CoG territory. And so your player characters are reactivared and given some access to additional CoG wargear that isn't available to you in the earlier part of the campaign. Id also focus on flushing out the UIR arsenal, specifically the secondary and specialist weapons, maybe a marksman rifle that could be seen as the predecessor of, or at least something that would be replaced by, the hammerburst.
I hope the movie or animated adaptation has them even during the locust war. They could pull a attack on titan with two separate factions at war while humanity is in the blink of extinct.
