My 80 year mother had a lot of neck pain. She went to a local chiropractor and what a difference. She had a better quality of life. I have been there too and it does feel better. Sometimes it is scary but it does feel much better

I have a couple suggestions. I'm sorry if they don't translate from text well.
My problem spot is right at the hip where the spine and hip meet. There is not enough mobility there for a chiropractor to push.
What readjusts this tricky spot is sitting, then putting a forearm on the left knee and a hand on the right leg. You push left with your left arm and up with the right arm. Do the opposite for the opposite side.
Also, try sitting on the ground and crossing one leg over the other. Breathe deep with your diaphragm (not high in your chest) and squeeze that air then lean back while slowly exhaling. Let your hip rotate on to one side, don't try to keep it flat on the ground. Do the same to the other side. You can also try to do this straight with both legs bent and spread slightly.

My local chiropractor did that neck adjustment on me. It was the strangest sensation and noise I have ever heard. The popping noise almost sounded like someone was rolling around gravel in my neck and head. And until I got used to it, my head felt like it was in the wrong location for at least a week, but in a good way.
It was like a switch was turned off for me in turns of pain.
Best way to describe it is: imagine you've had a chronic pain for a long long time and it is now just background noise, you have adapted your life around it. Now imagine that background noise disappears one day, instantly. It's quite jarring, but in the best of ways. Its almost like you forget you're in pain and then when it goes away you become aware of what pain free feels like.

Omg that's what I need! I didn't get that from the last chiropractor I went too. My neck never cracked like theirs, maybe that's why I always have headaches. Good chiropractor is what I need again. They are way better than any other treatment you have ever tried, and I have tried it all except surgery. Wished I lived closer!😊
If you have some length to your hair try this. Grab the hair at the back of your neck and push on your jaw with your thumb and curled index finger while pulling your hair.

In Germany we have three kinds of chiropractors. First the chiropractors, than physiopractors and at last ostheopaths. Difficult to describe, but the last ones are watching all over you and looking for energiechannels which are blocked..they also use this chinese practise with little needles. I would be scared lying on that bench for ring dinger...looks a little brutal...I know that it is good work, but for me a kind of creepy :)

I have one leg that is an inch and a half to 2 inches longer. I have scoliosis…. I have a hard time standing up straight…. This has been my life since I was a teenager. I would be willing to go to a chiropractor however, I have a friend who is older that went to get her back and neck realigned and she’s now relearning to walk. She can walk with a walker. Now I am terrified, but I also would like relief. How can I know who is a good chiropractor and who isn’t? Is there a way of finding out?

My chiropractor I had for years(he retired) did the same techniques. The new one uses a gun type to put bones back. I like the old method better

I'm on workers comp & asked my lawyer to ask the insurance company to allow me to see a Chiropractor & she said they will definitely not approve Chiropractic.
They have no issue prescribing pain killers and bogus PT but not Chiropractic.
I had told my lawyer I want to go under my own insurance & she told me not to , to wait for my case to be settled because it may delay my case... it's disheartening to me because I am in pain & no one seems to care.
I have numbness down both arms into my thumb pointer & middle finger on both hands with nerve pain into ring finger of left hand .
I hope to get there one day.

OMG NO EFFING WAY. A chiropractor nearly killed me manipulating the cervical spine. Damage at C0 where the brain stem enters the spinal canal sent me into a FOUR YEAR, nearly million dollar recovery. He almost killed me. PLEASE don’t take this type of treatment lightly.
