Loons of Charleston Lake 2024

Over the past few months I have been able to capture a whole new insight on what goes on when loons are nesting. With help from the Charleston Lake Association we installed remote monitoring cameras kindly supported by Reolink, to watch from a distance. These cameras allowed us to monitor the loon rafts with no disturbance to them and we could watch their natural nesting behaviour. This has given the CLA great insight into how their loon nesting rafts work and if any modifications are needed for future years to allow a higher chance of hatching success rate.
It has been a real pleasure working with the CLA and Reolink and we are hoping to follow other nests in future years !
