Great work as always Tommo. Keep it up.
I've always believed there should be more than 10 teams. Maybe another team. Maybe 2 or 3 more. Of course, they'll need to be competitive as the last thing you want is backmarkers miles off like HRT were. Current teams might not like it, but just do good enough to be in the top 10 and they've nothing to be worried about. I personally think a minimum grid should be 24 cars.

Also why did Toto say early on that if we cannot get him a drive we are happy to let him go to another team? And he had long been on the radar for a potential Williams drive, but it never quite happened.

A lot will depend on how long Fernando and Lewis stick around. They claim they want to keep driving on for years, but even GOATs can't stop the clock on their own ageing and eventually the ends won't justify the means for them. Decisions like this will likely come mid-season, and will kick open the driver market like Vettel did this year.

I think drivers like Maloney and Bearman showed great raw speed, but also mad inconsistency (which is forgivable for they're young rookies). They might just need time to develop and mature. Thus, they've already been promoted to F2, where after a couple of year you should be at the top to be considered. Aren't those moves hurried? Shouldn't we let them develop and not let their talent be wasted?

I think Hadjar was the most impressive F3 driver, cause he absolutely carried Hitech in F3 this season and Marko seems to like him quite a lot

Lawson is set to race in Super Formula with Mugen next year and Pourchaire is set to test with Kondo Racing and could land a drive there with Sacha Fenestraz leaving to race with Nissan in Formula E.
Also, rumours abound that Fittipaldi and Maloney will be racing in F2 with Carlin next year and the latter is set to receive Red Bull backing.

Theo Pouchare said this was hist last f2 season though, so he's supposedly not on the f2 grid next year either. Which is a shame, this will make it nearly impossible to get to f1.

Love your content @Tommo but I have pretty much disagree with nearly all of these drivers (bar Ricciardo). At the moment, unless you have grand prix experience or are a Piastri/Russell/Leclerc talent, teams will be hesitant signing rookies (literally de Vries is a prime example, only became a prospect after he proved he could compete in F1 with his performance in Italy). Schumacher has a way better chance than Palou or any F2 or F3 driver who has not won their respective titles within two years of competition. It's sad, but it's the truth.

If Mick does not join Williams, which is likely, I think his best chances are with Sauber. Audi will definitely wanna have at least one German driver. If Audi has any influence before 2026, Mick will join them. I only see other sauber juniors fighting for that spot too

I think Mick should go focus on trying to get an Indycar seat. If not that then DTM or WEC.
I don’t think we’ll see Mick in F1 again. Unless Audi is really hellbent on having a German with an iconic name in their car.

I think Isaak Hadjar and Roman Stanek (though you mentioned them) are extraordinary drivers ! Both 18 years old and ready for F2.
I'm really disappointed Théo Pourchaire was so unlucky and couldn't win the championship (since his bad luck early on gave him a lot of points to grab back, he overdrove a bit). I wish he was on the F1 grid for 2023 instead of Zhou ! The guy is the youngest ever F2 winner, gets P5 in 2021 at just 18, then 2nd at 19. It's extraordinary. Sauber has its reasons to keep Zhou, who had a decent season, but Pourchaire is a wonderkid.
In the young generation (born in 1999 of after), I think those who will shine are : Oscar Piastri, (Schwartzmann has the level to be in F1 but I doubt he'll get the opportunity sadly), Théo Pourchaire, Felipe Drugovich, Jack Doohan, Ayumu Iwasa (very underrated I think), Dennis Hauger (1 bad season but he's great), Isaak Hadjar, Roman Stanek, Oliver Bearman, Zane Maloney. And Kimi Antonelli is coming to F3 and will be sensational I'm 100% sure about it !
Piastri, Pourchaire, Hauger, Hadjar, Bearman and Antonelli are the best of the best young talents ! (And maybe Maloney, his second part of 2022 was sensational)

Zhou is very underrated by F1 fans I see for some reason even though he was winning F3 in 2018 but Mick or his 3rd teammate I can't remember who it was crashed with him and then he fell off and lost it.
