Honestly it is really hard to get a truly unique tattoo due to everything has basically been done in one way or another. I know you can "make it your own" but still a flower is a flower in the end of the day, same as a watch, animal, portrait etc. etc. Hope people should just take the tattoos what they really want and the tattoo artist would give their own take on the pic/subject and that's it :)

I am planning on getting a lighthouse tattoo, an anchor tattoo, a Celtic compass star, dagger thru a rose, nautical star, old sailing vessel, a mermaid sitting on an anchor, and possibly Poseidon of some sorts. I'm an old retired Navy sailor. I will be using some of them to finish off a color patchwork sleeve on my right arm and use the rest in the design for a full black and grey sleeve for my other arm. I always wanted tattoos but could not justify the expense due to raising and providing for my family. But now I'm retired so it my turn. :) I think that your first video had the most common over used tattoos but I am pretty new to the tattoo world so won't bet the retirement check on it. :)
I feel that skulls are some of the most done tattoos in the history of tattoos. They’re also a tattoo that is popular today as well. I also have several skulls on my body and I wear them with pride myself. I feel that the skull represents the realization that we all die one day so live life to the fullest and know that no matter your situation life is great with people we love, respect and closest friends are family also. So cherish them and live to the fullest.
Justin, you got me, I have an American traditional bodysuit going on so naturally I have a lot of tattoos that are popular in that genre. I also have nautical arm and leg sleeves (my father was in the Navy). Where else should I start? I have a lighthouse, compass as part of a ship tattoo, nautical stars in red and blue plus purple and green. I also have a tiger and anchors. These are all classic tattoos and I display them proudly, I don't care how many other people have them.

I’m going to get a dragon (actually two dragons facing each other ) in Viking runestones style, because I’m studying archeology and early middle age (8th to 11th century) Scandinavia is one of my main interests in that field of knowledge. So it will be almost tribal dragons tattoo witch is overdone and at this point almost out of fashion 😂

I agree its over done but my grandpa was in the navy and he was my father figure growing up so when he developed Alzheimer's i got that done for him. Got that classic ribbon across it that says "pawpaw". Went with a purple rose bc thats tends to be the last color Alzheimer's patients forget. I personally think the tiger is more common in my age group (early 20s). I’m getting one done soon in dedication to my grandmother who is from South Korea. She loves Korean style tigers, and I love tattoos so I’m really looking forward to getting mine done.
