boron, have never heard of that one! I take MSM, Turmeric (with black Peter and ginger), Boswellia serrata and undenatured Collagen type 2. it has worked really well for me with the pain etc. But I think I will add the boron and see what happens! Currently struggling awaiting a hip replacement, so really struggling with the ageing joints trying to compensate for that!
What an excellent video. No hype, no repetitive build up. Just plain speaking with useful information. Thanks! We all hate videos that take 90% of their time hyping a solution and only the last 10% do they start talking about a solution and then you find out it was a commercial... not really informative.
He means he takes ground turmeric and black pepper mixed in lukewarm water empty stomach in mornings besides that he makes flax seed ladoos google the word ladoo u will find it's an Indian delicacy @@debraschepers9381
One very important thing to note with turmeric is that it has quite strong blood thinning properties. I found this out after 'shaking hands' with a Stanley Knife and the hospital had a bit of a struggle stemming the flow. Fortunately, one of the Indian Doctors questioned me about any supplements I was taking and immediately spotted the culprit. I still take turmeric [it is very effective for me, particularly knees] but those folks already on blood thinners or who are going in for an operation must discuss matters with their Doctor before starting it's use. I have had it added to my notes at the GPs and at the 2 hospitals I regularly attend. Be prepared for a blank stare from many Doctors, as they will not be aware of this property, but a good pharmacist should have a better awareness of this potential problem.
@@differenttakethanmost Staining is not an issue if you take the capsules containing the active curcuminoids derived from turmeric. Each capsule contains the equivalent of a big enough heap of raw turmeric to flavor several family sized meals. The same is true of the black pepper extract added to each capsule. It certainly pays to take these capsules with a meal containing fats/oils, as both the curcumin and pepper extracts are oil soluble and only when dissolved can they be taken up and made available for use by the body during the digestive process. Buy from a trusted source - I use Piping Rock
Drs in my experience never offer supplements, so he may be a homeopathic physiatrist or therapist. And anyone who can't get to see their doctor should get a different doctor if circumstances permit
I had awfully painful arthritis in my hip and was taking NSAIDs. A wonderful chemist recommended curcumin as an alternative and I want to give her a medal. It has changed my life.
I´m now for 2 weeks on anti inflamitory meds....does anyone know, if i can start with the natural product intake, or is it not working together well, Thanks a lot!!!❤
I agree with your assessment of glucosamine. I had taken glucosamine and chondroitin for years for my arthritic knee. I was never sure whether it actually helped. Then I ran out of it and kept forgetting to buy more and went for several months without it. I did not find my knee any worse without it. So in my little study with n=1 glucosamine and chondroitin did not help arthritis.
@@cynthiagonzalez658glucosamine helped me but caused lot of weight gain. Meloxicam is dangerous the doctor had me only take for 30days. The side affects are serious.
Thanks for the helpful video. I must state that glycosamine has been revolutionary for me. My knees were damaged when I was hit by a drunk driver while I was bicycling back in 1990. For 30 years I suffered knee pain. I was eventually diagnosed with arthritis. By a stroke of luck, I encountered somebody in my line of work that had suffered a terrible list of injuries from a catastrophic car crash and she was the person who educated me on the benefits of glucosamine. Within three days of starting the supplement I noticed a major change in my knee pain. It was gone. I am a backpacker. I hiked through the pain for years. With glucosamine I no longer have to hike through pain. Just the same, I am interested in those other supplements. I already take turmeric periodically but it's good to know that I have to up the dosage. I already knew about the black pepper.
Hi. I am in a similar situation, recently been diagnosed. I've been wondering if I should stop travelling altogether. Your post seems to suggest it is still possible for people with this ailment to travel.
I had used glucosamine for 20-25 years and had the best of luck with it until ONE day it seemed to turn on me almost overnight!!! I started to get bad swelling with bad pain in my joints. I think I developed an intolerance to shell fish from it because that's where its sourced. Just Wanted to let you know.
@@tmo.48 Wow, that is fascinating. But I'm also sorry you went through that ordeal. I think I'll be okay. I grew up near the ocean and have had plenty of seafood and haven't built up an intolerance to it. It would save me money if I built up an intolerance to lobster, but that is not the story. I hope I'm not getting a bunch of pollutants that accumulate in fish. I don't eat a lot of fish because they collect things like dioxin, mercury, lead and PCBs in their fat cells. I stick to the shellfish, which accumulate less than, say, tuna or swordfish.
Thank you so much for all your information. I am a 71 year old female with a torn meniscus. Life is miserable! You are a mine of information and I am most grateful. Thank you!
How are you feeling? I am 58 with torn meniscus. I did PRP injections. It helped but such a slow healing process...then I reinjured going down the stairs. So frustrating. Hope you are doing well.
im over 50’s…glad i found you Mr .😘 i taking pain reliever and B and D Vitamin( but i requested that to my Doctor after my own research). have to really lose weights…cause.being overweight also the reasons of joint paints and inflammation.
I had arthritis in one knee. Both knees made cracking sounds. I knew it was only a matter of time for the other knee to blow. I used Bromelain. Working for me. Cracking noises in both knees gone .(Occasional crack in knee yet to blow). Both knees feel good.
I’ve not come across a vlog that explains the benefits of taking turmeric, omega 3 and boron quite as well as this - outstanding! I have stage 4 osteoarthritis in both knees and have been on medicated pain killers for a number of years. I have reached the stage that alternative supplements need to be considered and I am somewhat disappointed that my own doctor hasn’t discussed supplements with me. I am about to start taking turmeric and I hope that it will provide real benefits without the side effects that taking clinical medication over a prolonged period can have. Thank you once again.
If you haven't already, research turmeric/ginger shots. A little more complicated than just taking a pill but it has the added benefit of just feeling natural. I have a juicer so I make my own, usually a week's worth at a time. Good luck!
You might want to consider using turmeric essential oil applied topically to the knees. 1 drop of essential oil (steam distilled is best) per ml of massage oil is about the right concentration. This does not cost much and works better for me than supplements, also for friends who have arthritis in their hands.
Had an old Labrador years ago that was having trouble walking, very slow movement, I gave him glucosamine and after a week he really picked up speed and seemed himself again. I put one in his food every day.
Boswellia Serrata extract is also often used to relieve knee OA pain and swelling. Like curcumin it is not very absorbable and so it is best to combine it with piperine (Black pepper) like curcumin or use a formula that is known to be highly bioavailable like ApresFlex. You should make sure to look into the safety of any herbal supplement, tolerable upper limits, etc., and the quality of whatever brand you choose.
I take all three for knee inflamation and they do work,, especially the boron. I went off the boron for awhile to see if I noticed a change and I definitely did!
Love your program I want to weigh in on some thing I take turmeric I take a half a teaspoon of turmeric powder. I boil the water, put the turmeric in the water, stir it up and then I strain it to get any solids out of it into another cup. I only use one cup of water to boil but I put my half a teaspoon and the turmeric when I get it out of the microwave which is what I use to boil my water. Oh I stir it up real good then I strain it into another cup. I take the turmeric water add 3 tablespoons of lemon juice, 100% pure, a pinch of black powder a very tiny amount of cinnamon add that to the turmeric water and Sarah real good then I took a packet of green tea and really soak it as good as I can let it sit for at least 10 to 15 minutes then I take a tablespoon of honey. Add that to the drink stir well drink it down. Make sure you wait before you add a honey at least 10 to 15 minutes depending on how boiled the water is are you see running on the microwave? I have a high voltage microwave that’s three minutes if you have a low voltage microwave you might want to go for minutes and it works great and turmeric doesn’t do just what they say it does. It also will clean your liver out if you have a fatty liver over a small period of time with the turmeric, I add a tablet of ginger root as I drink it down that’s pill form, I take that every night and I’ll only helps my arthritis but it also helps me sleep at night ever since I came back from Vietnam I have been restless I’ve never had much of a good nights sleep not until now. Also, you might recommend that people take niacin it’s an over-the-counter supplement just straight niacin it has components in it that will relax your arthritis. You’ll be surprised you won’t have the tension. You won’t have the arthritis pain if you have moderate arthritis, I have moderate arthritis whether it will work on severe arthritis. I can tell you because I don’t have severe arthritis only moderate arthritis in my hands, my hip and my knees, but these are good items to think about because they’re worth it and that is called temp turmeric tea. whatever you do, do not take aspirin with your turmeric. It will have adverse effects and you won’t like it. I had excessive bleeding when I took baby aspirin. Every time I would go to the bathroom I would pour blood out like it’s a gallon and a half then I realize I’ve got a problem and I came to the conclusion finally with the doctors answer that stop taking the aspirin. It’s causing you to bleed a G.I. bleeding in the colon oh that’s the best I can give you sorry to make it so long. Love your program keep it up. I watch it when I can.
To everybody, you can buy cooker man, which is all you need cook a man is what does all the work you could avoid all of the other things that are involved with turmeric and just take Uckermann start with a very low dosage of the supplement and then if you need to work your way up a little higher do so, but don’t stay at a high level all the time try to stay within the medium range too much it can be excessive and you may have problems with gall stones and everything so you want to be careful and how much you use I will stay at the lower figure every day take whatever tablet at a low milligram do that every day and I think you should be all right
The supplement that helps most to reduce pain and improve mobility in my arthritic knees is one pill a day containing undenatured collagen type II (aka UC-II) - 40 mg, Boron as boron glycinate - 5 mg, and Hyaluronic acid as sodium hyaluronate - 3.3 mg. I have tried Turmeric with piperine (black pepper) and Omega-3 supplements, but they upset my stomach a lot. Recently, I started taking a supplement containing hydrolyzed collagen peptides to improve the condition of my skin, hair, and nails, which seemed to be having trouble adjusting to the arid desert environment when I relocated from the Alabama Gulf coast to southern Arizona. I have been slathering on moisturizing lotions and sunscreen to protect my skin, but the improvement has been small. After taking the collagen peptide supplement for a couple of weeks, not only did my skin, hair, and nails improve noticeably, but to my surprise there also seemed to be some improvement in my knee pain and mobility in addition to that provided by the supplement I discussed above. It is too early to tell if this recent improvement is just a natural variation in my knee pain and mobility, or due to the hydrolyzed collagen peptides. Since the hydrolyzed collagen peptides supplement is producing an improvement in my skin, hair, and nails, I will continue to take it whether or not it continues to improve my knee pain and mobility. This supplement is a powder, and the recommended serving of 2 heaping tablespoons contains 3 g of hydrolyzed collagen peptides. The recommended dosage is 3 servings per day, for a total of 9 g of hydrolyzed collagen peptides per day.
I have a friend who has knee arthritis from a car crash injury, who swears by gelatine (another source of collagen) - just a spoonful a day, stirred into water. I tried it for a month or so and it did nothing for me (at that stage, I only had finger arthritis) so I stopped. However, it's cheap and readily available, so it could be worth a try for many people.
@@maradall According to Healthline, collagen supplements are mostly made of a completely hydrolyzed form of collagen called collagen peptides, and these are easier to digest than gelatin, which is made of partially hydrolyzed collagen. Thus, gelatin is easier to digest than pure collagen, but collagen peptides are easier to digest than gelatin. Also, collagen peptides dissolve in both hot and cold water. In contrast, most forms of gelatin only dissolve in hot water. If one is able to digest gelatin, then like hydrolyzed collagen peptides, it may improve skin, joint, gut, and bone health.
@@maradall I just looked up the prices at my local Walmart, and computed the price per gram of gelatin vs hydrolyzed collagen peptides: At my local Walmart: Great Value Gelatin: 7.57 cents/g (based on $2.18 for 16 servings @ 1.8 g per serving) Zammex Hydrolyzed Collagen Peptides: 5.98 cents/g (based on $17.95 for 30 servings @ 10 g per serving) In this case, hydrolyzed collagen peptides are lower in cost per unit mass than gelatin.
Appreciate your comments. What is the name of the hydrolyzed collagen peptides supplement you're taking please..? Edit: and the first supplement you mentioned too, what is that called? Thankyou.
@@eternity8811 I was taking Metamucil Fiber + Collagen, but 3 servings per day of that was too much fiber for my system. I switched to Zammex Hydrolyzed Collagen Peptides which provides 10 g of collagen peptides per serving, and 1 serving of that per day is easier on my digestive system. The other supplement I mentioned is Kirkland Triple Action Joint Health.
I tried tones of glucosamine and chondroitin, and it did NOTHING for my OA hip and ankle (past injury.) Then I started taking large doses of D3 in early 2020. (Something about a virus? 😉 ) I was pleasantly surprised when, a month+ later, I woke up to find my chronic hip pain gone, along with ankle, back, and deep leg aches and pains. Turns out that immune cells produce less inflammatory agents when 25-D levels get up around 50~60 ng. Reduced inflammation gives the joint a chance to partially heal which, in turn, reduces wear and tear and inflammation. 3 years later, my joints still feel 20+ years younger. As for Omega 3, I just eat one or two salmon burgers a day. I started doing this more recently, and it seems to have reduced BP substantially. Very nice!
Omega 3 I do take and I do feel it when I wait to get more of it. I feel the lack of it. Thank you for all this wisdom about having better health. Many thanks go to you.
I have used DMSO since 1997 and with much success. MSM is a second generation type originating from DMSO. I use 99% pure DMSO. Dimethyl Sulfoxide! Rimso50 is the only FDA allowed type. It's 50% only. Of coarse Rimso-50 is only used for Interstitial Blastitis which is inflammation of the bladder. I've used DMSO for torn Miniscus, swelling in fingers, shoulder pain, and unspecified allergic reactions (I believe it was from allergic reaction to an antibiotic) .... I've treated elderly folks' shoulders and knees also. This is an incredible substance! The military used it for traumatic head injuries in some cases, when DMSO could be introduced into the inner skull areas to help stop, prevent, or/and reduce inflammation in the brain. FDA has balked at allowing DMSO approval since the 1960's. Mainly because Big Pharmaceutical Corporations cannot get a patent on DMSO, therefore they cannot make big money on it!
I started noticing that my knee joints were starting to get a bit stiff. I started to increase my intake of Omega 3 in my diet (including an Omega 3 Cod Liver Oil supplement) and within weeks it was noticeable how much better my knees were feeling & working.
If you don’t like fish burps skip the fish and go to the plant that gives the fish oil omega 3----algae oil. I can take that one. I make my own turmeric capsules with black pepper. Boron is in my multi and my food. I think apples have boron.
I feel very differently about glucosamine. My mother had excruciating neck pain about 20 years ago. We thought it would lead to her demise, but her doctor suggested glucosamine with chondroitin and after taking it for 2 weeks, she hasn't suffered any pain since. Today, she is 88 and no mobility issues or pain apart from minor aches and pains that don't really slow her down. She still gardens though tires more easily. My husband had terrible lower back pain, and he too started taking this same supplement. It works for him too. He tested it by stopping to take it. Within 2 weeks the pain returned and back he went taking it again. It takes about 2 weeks before the effects wane once you stop and 2 weeks from starting before effects are noticed. I read it only works for about 20% of the population and it's not known why. To be fair, I don't know if knee and hip pain would react differently to glucosamine. I have only seen it work 100% for neck and lower back pain. I'd give it a go if no other drug contraindications/conditions exist.
For arthritic knee pain, which began in my 30's -- as well as more recent hip pain -- over the years I've read a lot of books and have tried about every remedy and supplement on the market. I am a strong believer in exercise for the reason that it works. But before embarking on an exercise program, I strongly recommend you purchase at least one good book on the knee and exercise for it, such as the books mentioned below. Credentialed professionals who do physical therapy for a living are a great resource. There are some of those with TH-cam videos also. I happen to have a Total Gym and have found that doing squats on it and building up my knees, provided I do enough of them and keep this up several times a week, has reduced my knee pain by about 85 percent ... and if I don't do the exercises for a while, I can tell it. For additional strengthening, I use deep knee squats, hanging on to a sofa or something else to help stay stable. As far as supplements, having tried everything, I experience the most pain relief from Type I and III collagen powder, 12 grams once or twice per day; I use Neocell or Anthony's brands, in shakes; on alternate days, Neocell tablets, 6 once or twice per day. I also use and recommend Metagenics EPA-DHA capsules, 720 mg, and I add a DHA capsule with it; can be taken with or without food. Added to these I've lately been using NOW Quercetin/Bromelain capsules, 2 in the morning on an empty stomach and these help also. I am not affiliated with any of those companies mentioned. I've also found that heat works well, I use a wrap-style heating pad ... however with the exercise and supplements I don't need that very often. Knee books I have and recommend: Treat Your Own Knee by Robin McKenzie Treat Your Own Knees by Jim Johnson both authors are orthopedic physical therapists
I have found listening to this so helpful and informative and added to that you are not from "across the pond"!I shall look into these particular supplements as I am currently experiencing a crippling attack of knee arthritis (2 weeks). I am 76, on Apixaban, Losartan, 1.25mg beta blocker and Adcal. Have been on Glucosamine for years and thought it was helping, but isn't now obviously.

I hope this helps someone it is hard to believe the difference after taking Boron. I had my cartilage out 45 years ago out of desperation I was looking for exercises to help as I was heading for a knee replacement. Also Aubergine , Chili, Paprika and many more also in fruits. And Tabak , anyhow better don’t smoke . Everyone can find out more about it online. The nightshade plants usually also promote histamine and therefore trigger allergies. Of course, it is difficult to avoid all of these foods. It can work if you make sure to only have one vegetable or fruit of this type on your plate. So no “ratatouille” , tomatoes with paprika and potatoes, you already have three on your plate.
I am on the keto diet. The only night shade I am consuming is tomatoes. Pain is still there but I am not taking any supplements as I am not sure what supplements would help me. Has anybody tried supplements which worked for them. How about bone broth, has anybody tried that would appreciate any info. Many thanks
Not to change the subject,,,but I eliminated over eating red veggies like red bell peppers and tomatoes about 20 years ago and my dominant hand, which is a little knarly looking, no longer hurts, I used to soak it in epsom salt, but I think the red veggies contributed to the pain. I use a splash of turmeric in my egg almost every day also.
I have bone on bone knee ailment. I went from taking 2 prescription pain killers daily to zero with no pain after taking brewers yeast for a couple of months. It's not a cure, but I have no pain anymore.
Very interesting, we used glucosamine and chondroitin for a while and had no relief so your research backs this up. Will work through your suggestions and recommendations. Thank you.

Such an informative video once again. Have shared it with family. Yes, turmeric is a great supplement too, bearing in mind a few caveats, as you mentioned. Vitamin D3 taken with Vitamin K2 is also important for bone/muscle health as are calcium and magnesium.
I have very painful arthritis, in almost all of my joints. Lowering my carbohydrates actually helped me a lot. I never went through and did an elimination of specific foods, I avoid flour, sugar, and most starchy vegetables. I found a supplement for Boron that combined it with Magnesium, vitamin D, as well as others. It's from Thorne, which has a decent reputation. Supplements are poorly regulated in the United States, a recent study of one popular supplement found many off brands contain 0% of the active ingredients.
Thanks for the info Will! It's good to see a nice looking healthy man(or woman), nice seeing them speaking of health, and they are not 60 pounds overweight. Do as we preach... Thanks again. Being healthy at 72 takes a lot of educating oneself. But, it is all worth it. Lost 68 pounds last few years eating well, and taking good supplements.
@bobletter6938 nice to hear but easy on the turmeric. We onlynuse a quarter of a teaspoon in our indian cooking. Turmeric in large amounts causes liver damage.
I have taken omega 3 supplement with a boron sup. Brilliant improvement. I would also suggest watching the muscle building exercises that Will demonstrates. Watch the exercise vids first. Then try them while watching- so you avoid the movement errors. Last avoid eating high sugar foods and drinks and alcohol- which I found generated more inflation pain.
Thank you for this information. I'm relatively new to the knee osteoarthritis world, really starting to become painful in the past couple of years. I seek out natural remedies first, and have tried glucosamine with no success. I do take omega-3 and turmeric, but have not heard of boron as a supplement. I will give that a try!
Hi Will. Thanks for the information. I have some omega 3's, I didn't think to check with my G.P -she is awesome- I shall do this week & re the BORON as well very interesting. My copy of your book arrived from AUS AMAZON today 🎉 yay! I look forward to checking it out in the next couple of days. I'm pleased to hear you refer to the trials & to the fact that sometimes the most invested , funds these trials. _sneaky_. So . Cheers

the chrondroitin works for me but glucosamineby itself did nothing turmeric did a number on my stomach, nothing for the knees. Omega3 is great for lowering cholestrol and marine collagen are the things that work for me..i hate ibuprophen
Great information , thankyou . You cover the suppliments realy informtivly . Thankyou . Tumeric, I have to watch . Do you recommend a omega three suppliment . Thankyou again .
Very helpful information, Doc. I am one of those lucky people. Glucosamine works for me. I had severe pain in the knees. But after taking Glucosamine, I was able to play pickleball without any issues.
It is quite understandable that all or most videos on the subject have only the interest of the person afflicted with a particular condition. Over here turmeric and black pepper are essential elements to all meals, whether vegetarian or other. Despite the claims made for healing effect of turmeric and black pepper, there are more arthritics over here than in other countries. Of the four people living in my building two of us are arthritic one of them being myself and another who is very severely afflicted and turmeric and black pepper are essential to our food. The one element that really and truly helps is the use of knee braces. Not just any knee brace but a genuine off loading type of which there are just three types manufactured in the world. Strangely I have not found one single video putting forward the case for off loading knee braces .My personal experience would seem to indicate an extension of ten years to the active life of an arthritic using off loader braces. I am in no way , even remotely, connected or associated with knee brace manufacturers but I do feel very strongly that this method of dealing with a crippling affliction has not been given near enough coverage.
Mr. Will, thank you for such an impressive and sensible presentation of the 3 knee arthritis supplements I love it and I would like your script of the talk if you can let me have the link to it.

Your videos are full of useful information and I follow your channel. I have a question which I hope your can provide some advise: How can you reduce the size of large dorsal metatarsal head osteophytes without surgery, if possible?
Thanks for that information Will. Is knee arthritis equivalent to hip arthritis in regards to treatment? In other words, will my hips benefit from your advice?
You have good information in your videos, but not in this one. Glucosamine for osteoarthritis of the hips and knees has been around and effective for much longer than 10 years. I started taking it in 2000 for OA of my right hip. At that time, I had severe pain in my groin and a very bad limp. My rheumatologist said I would need a hip replacement within 5 years. He asked me if I wanted a referral to a surgeon at that time. I told him that I had started taking glucosamine a few days earlier and I wanted to see if it would work. Within a week, my pain was gone in all normal activities, walking, standing, sitting and sleeping. My limp was also gone. I used to sprint to catch a bus or race down a flight of steps to catch a train without pain. Once in a while, I might have a moment in which I experienced some pain, but it was fleeting. I was basically free of pain for 15 years. I never felt that I received any benefit from a product containing chondroitin with the glucosamine. Also, I used high quality glucosamine products, some of which also included proprietary ingredients like boswelia, but most did not. Glucosamine is a large molecule. A special formulation is required to make it absorbable in the joints. It is not broken down in the stomach. Typical pharmacy houses brands were ineffective. I had to pay more to get a high quality product that worked. After a few years, some brands that were effective began to become ineffective and I would have to change brands. Fortunately, there were a few brands that worked. After 15 years, I felt that the glucosamine was beginning to become ineffective. After 18 years, in 2018, I had a hip resurfacing which restored my hip to new without a hip replacement. I was lucky. You are mistaken about studies. There are studies that show that glucosamine is often effective for pain relief. Many people have had the same experience as myself. Maybe the numbers are in the millions. I don't believe that it grows new cartilage, just brings pain relief. I don't think it is well-understood how it works. Maybe it gets between the bones and buffers them, something like that. I tried turmeric and fish oil in the past, but neither reduced my pain. Turmeric is not well-absorbed. As with glucosamine, you need a special formulation to make it more absorbable. I tried such a product but it didn't produce results.
Very well described, thank you. Please see my own effective solution for my arthritis elsewhere in the comments, 4 of my friends and acquaintances benefit also from it, and cost is low. (Boron, prepare it as a low dose solution in water at home. You only need a low cost electronic scale, preferably with reading in 0.1 grams)
@@rredding Thanks. I will look into it. I think that plums are known to have a good amount of boron. I quickly scanned the comments but didn't see yours. It's probably in the replies. It would help if you could cut and paste it here.
Yes, I understand.. It was in a reply. I removed the non-relevant texts. There is a lot of info to be found in fora, like "grassroots" and I found first references in a forum for preppers that caught my interest. I started searching and discovered many more sites with experiences from people using it. I use 10 milligrams of elemental boron per day. I may add to the text below that boron has some detoxing priorities, like removal of heavy metals, fluor and molds (Candida). So, if your body has toxins, a Herxheimer reaction may occur. This means that you may encounter some reactions, please look up the subject if you are not familiar with it. In such a case you may lower to e.g. 2 or 3 mg daily for a few weeks. Ok, I posted some text below. I got rid of my pain in wrists and fingers, and I can say that four of my friends repeated it. One of my friends has a mother who is able to climb stairs up and down again after she started taking it also. Unknown to most MDs, but some pharmacists perhaps know it.. In countries where the soil has no BORON (an element with properties close to Silicon), like Haiti, arthritis is abundant. In areas where Boron is mined, and it is in drinking water and vegetation, almost no arthritis occurs, like in Israel, Turkey and some areas in the USA. I make my own supplement, a low dose of boron in water. After 4-8 weeks of use I was pain free and could open jars again and this works for 70-80% of people. You may search and download pdf's "Nothing boring about Boron" and "The Boron conspiracy". On TH-cam you can find some presentations by Dr Jorge Flechas on boron and other supplements like iodine and silica. I found them very interesting! Even if you type his name they won't turn up as firsts, but you will find them eventually. As said, I use Boron, which is a great supplement for bones. It regulates calcium, magnesium and phosphor. It supports hydroxylation and this increases free vitamin D3, regulates testosterone, estrogen, and helps your brain. It is anti-inflammatory, and anti-mold. May help sleeping better. *Very good against osteoporosis, when combined with vit D3, K2(!!), magnesium* I make my own Boron supplement. I purchased borax on the internet. Some $10=€10 per kg, this amount is good for 30 years of use! Dead cheap! On this dose, it will cost you $0.001 per day. Now you may understand why nobody will perform a clinical trial and why MDs are not reached about it. Nada pecunia.. No-one will earn one cent from it. The recipe: *I dissolve 10 grams borax in 500 ml water. 1 ml solution contains 2 mg of active Boron. I take 5 ml daily, that equals 10 mg elemental Boron.* The solution tastes quite bad, so I put orn a glass of water, in coffee or in food. I wish you a healthy life! 🙏🏻💚
@@rredding Thank you for the information. I knew that boron was good for the bones. I have seen it added to some formulations of glucosamine. Borax is well known as a cleaning agent, not something to ingest. I have known about it all of my life. It's a sodium salt, so when you say are taking elemental boron, I'm not sure what you mean. Look at this: "According to the NLM’s Toxicology Data Network, borax is easy for the body to break down when either inhaled or swallowed. However, if inhalation or ingestion occurs, both serious poisoning and organ damage can result. In fact, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) banned borax as a food additive1. While borax may be natural, that doesn’t mean it’s completely safe. Borax often comes in a box with a caution label warning users that the product is an eye irritant and that it may be harmful if swallowed." Just from this alone, I would not take Borax. However, it's possible to buy boron supplements. Life Extension has a product on Amazon, 100 capsules of 3 mg. boron for $5.63, a very low price and probably without any risk. It may be necessary to take some other mineral with it. That I would have to research.
@@newyorkguy158 I wanted to know more about risks and benefits and did a deep dive in available literature. Btw, please search and read "nothing boring about Boron". It all depends on the dose. With elemental boron I mean the amount of pure boron, the element, in the borax salt. Borax contains 11.3% Boron, so 88 mg borax has 10 mg of boron.. The capsules that you buy ("3 mg boron") often contain borax with fillers. From the top of my head, I remember reading about toxicity: Compare the LD50 values for borax and eg table salt, NaCl. They are comparable.. (LD50 is the "lethal dose" where 50% dies or is serously harmed after a single dose. For rats it is 2.66 g/kg bodyweight). Other values you may want to look up for yourself, like for aspirin, paracetamol or ibuprofen. Toxicology studies found that in lab animals effects were found (eg in testicles) at certain doses. In humans this translated to 1200 mg daily. After applying a safety factor of 60, the upper level in USA is 20 mg of elemental boron per day (177 mg borax). In EU: 10 mg. If you do a search yourself, you may find that mold, like Candida requires higher doses, like,70-150 mg of elemental boron daily. I am not a medical doctor and I don't want to go advising doses higher than what's considered as supplemental, so I mention the 10 mg value. From own experience I know it's effective and doesn't harm, and it's extremely cheap.
Very informative and well explained video. I’m impressed with Will’s integrity and probity bc he did not recommend any particular brand. Just backed his recommendation with research. I have been taking these supplements to ward off osteoporosis and reduce knee osteoarthritis. It’s hard to ascertain the effectiveness bc I’m expecting more challenges to my body as I age. However, at this stage, these supplements do seem to help.
There are several reasons one can have knee pain as one ages, one of which is loss of cartilage. One fact can not be ignored - one's body CAN NOT re-grow cartilage. That's the simple truth. We can "hope" that it can be done, but it can not. Meniscus CAN be repaired via surgery in some instances with temporary good results, esp. for younger patients, but eventually tears and damage will continue. Again, knee pain can have multiple causes. For instance, inflammation is a common problem related to connective tissue, and there are supplements than have been shown to benefit inflammation with consistent use over time. Anything that reduces knee pain is a good thing, assuming it does not itself lead to long-term harm.
Thanks for mentioning the supplements. Can you suggest certain brand names for the Omega 3 fish oil supplements according to specifications that you were referring to?
Turmeric with black pepper, omega 3 and boron are the the supplements mentioned in this pod cast.
Thanks Doc
Thanks for saving time❤
boron, have never heard of that one!
Thanks, i clicked add to watch later, a playlist that ive never watched ever not even once

What an excellent video. No hype, no repetitive build up. Just plain speaking with useful information. Thanks! We all hate videos that take 90% of their time hyping a solution and only the last 10% do they start talking about a solution and then you find out it was a commercial... not really informative.
He pronounces turmeric correctly. Seriously, nearly everyone else calls it too-muh-rik. It drives me crazy!😊
I use Raw Turmeric with Black pepper and powdered Mushrooms added to water in. I also eat Sardines in Olive oil and/or Tomato sauce.
Tumeric with black pepper, early morning, in medium hot water helps a lot. Omega 3 is found in Flax seeds. I eat flax seeds in the form of ladoo.
What do u mean?
He means he takes ground turmeric and black pepper mixed in lukewarm water empty stomach in mornings besides that he makes flax seed ladoos google the word ladoo u will find it's an Indian delicacy

Omega 3 can do the same.
Thanks for giving us the heads up
Next time be extra careful " shaking your hands with your pal "
Stay safe

Thank you about blood thinner, needing this.
And it STAINS (if you’re having “tumeric lattes” or cooking with it-stains teeth, counters, cups… 🤦🏻♀️

Staining is not an issue if you take the capsules containing the active curcuminoids derived from turmeric.
Really, has anyone ever gone to see their doctor to check a supplement? I can't even get to see mine for serious medical conditions.
Doctors dont want us to know what is good about these supplements.
I think he’s just covering his own butt
Drs in my experience never offer supplements, so he may be a homeopathic physiatrist or therapist. And anyone who can't get to see their doctor should get a different doctor if circumstances permit
Even when you do the Dr will say "I don't know anything about that".
😂
I had awfully painful arthritis in my hip and was taking NSAIDs. A wonderful chemist recommended curcumin as an alternative and I want to give her a medal. It has changed my life.
Same as Turmeric, both anti inflammatory.Turmeric is the plant and Curcumine is the extract❤
I´m now for 2 weeks on anti inflamitory meds....does anyone know, if i can start with the natural product intake, or is it not working together well,
Thanks a lot!!!❤
Congratulations. Could you please give us the name of the curcumin you took or a picture of the supplement please. Thanks
I agree with your assessment of glucosamine. I had taken glucosamine and chondroitin for years for my arthritic knee. I was never sure whether it actually helped. Then I ran out of it and kept forgetting to buy more and went for several months without it. I did not find my knee any worse without it. So in my little study with n=1 glucosamine and chondroitin did not help arthritis.
what about you go on fasting, and go for seamoss as Dr.sebi says.
Glucosamine chondroitin worked for me. For about 2 weeks
Meloxicam was miraculous for my knee OA. For about two months. 🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂👏🏽👏🏽
@@tmo.48
Wow, that is fascinating.
Hi what supplements are you taking?
@revathik9225 well why don't you start a fasting, and use seamoss as dr.sebi adviced
1- Turmeric
2- Omega3
3- Boron
Try Joint Vibrance it has all this and more
I would add to what Doc said, Shilajit (not powder, rather black resin in glass jar)
Thank you so much for all your information. I am a 71 year old female with a torn meniscus. Life is miserable! You are a mine of information and I am most grateful. Thank you!

You are very sweet, thank you. I am investigating stem cell treatment. Most effective I hear...
How are you feeling? I am 58 with torn meniscus. I did PRP injections. It helped but such a slow healing process...then I reinjured going down the stairs. So frustrating. Hope you are doing well.
im over 50’s…glad i found you Mr .😘
i taking pain reliever and B and D Vitamin( but i requested that to my Doctor after my own research).
have to really lose weights…cause.being overweight also the reasons of joint paints and inflammation.
Good luck!
I have used turmeric with black pepper for 3 years now and almost immediately managed to stop the voltarol I had been taking for years.
I take tart cherry supplements. 😊
You might want to consider using turmeric essential oil applied topically to the knees. 1 drop of essential oil (steam distilled is best) per ml of massage oil is about the right concentration. This does not cost much and works better for me than supplements, also for friends who have arthritis in their hands.
Try turmeric & Borun for knee pain. You should notice a difference in two weeks
how much boron a day? thanks.
Had an old Labrador years ago that was having trouble walking, very slow movement, I gave him glucosamine and after a week he really picked up speed and seemed himself again. I put one in his food every day.
I had the same results with my dog so I started some as well😂
Boswellia Serrata extract is also often used to relieve knee OA pain and swelling.
Where did you get Boron and how you take it please 🙏
I would like to try boron. How much should I take? Tia
@@maradall I just looked up the prices at my local Walmart, and computed the price per gram of gelatin vs hydrolyzed collagen peptides:
At my local Walmart:
Great Value Gelatin: 7.57 cents/g (based on $2.18 for 16 servings @ 1.8 g per serving)
Zammex Hydrolyzed Collagen Peptides: 5.98 cents/g (based on $17.95 for 30 servings @ 10 g per serving)
In this case, hydrolyzed collagen peptides are lower in cost per unit mass than gelatin.
Very nice!
Hi, thanks for that and well done Could you please tell us what make is the vitamin d3 you took or a picture please. Many thanks

I took glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM and turmeric for 6 weeks and my knee pain is gone. I also take cod liver oil, boron and vitamin D3 with K2.
Interesting! Thanks for sharing

Knee books I have and recommend:
Treat Your Own Knee by Robin McKenzie
Treat Your Own Knees by Jim Johnson
both authors are orthopedic physical therapists
As always, really clear, well explained and helpful. Thank you.

You can get up to 10 mg I haven’t needed to take more than 3mg.
I am still able to walk 10,000 steps some days. Bone on bone knee joint and aged 76. Uk resident
@@rolandmasters105 Thank you so much! 😊
Thank you. I looked up all the foods that have Boron in them and I eat most them all the time. I’ll look into stepping up eating more of them.
Thanks Doctor for your very very explanative video on such an important subject .Really it will be very useful to every person suffering from arthritis. Thank you once again.
My pleasure!
Thank you. Ive been taking Chondroitin and glucosamine for some time and found it hasnt helped.
Collagen type 1 and 3 with Omega 3 have helped the most and your exercises to strengthen muscles to support the knees. Glutes.
I find magnesium gel helps with my arthritic knee. White oil containing turpentine also helps.
Your videos have been a godsend! Great information as always
I gave up eating nightshades (potatoes and tomatoes) and grains, and my arthritis pain went away. It's been three years!
What type of arthritis did you have?
what about seamoss as Dr.sebi says.
Ditto, plus I went keto carnivore intermittent fasting and my pains are now only intermittent. Got knee OA and then the pain migrated around everywhere. Dic wanted me to do knee replacement 10 years ago 😂
You're amazing! This is all (more) great information Will. Thank you!
Thank you.
Turmeric I use in warm water in morning. In milk at night since 30 years. But no change in knee pain.
Hi, i´m new here....thanks for this interesting video....
For more than 20years i suffer from jointpain, kniearthritis, neck and lower backpain, i tried several natural remedies, but didn´t helped me....
I want to learn from you more, hoping i could learn to live without so much pain, Thank you again for the incredible work you do!!

Doc you are the best in exercise and supplements for joint pain. Thank you. From Trinidad andvTobago
Thank you very good information
Helpful and informative video for me who has just started to get knee pain in my 60s. Thank you
I like the information I get from your very well put together videos from your experience thanks a lot much appreciated ❤
Thanks for the wonderful information on Boron.
Dr. Harlow, I love all of your videos. They are very easy, useful and has helped me immensely.
Very nice and comprehensive research information regarding supplements for arthritis Thank you doctor
Very good information because I just know that tumeric is good for our bone. I always love your medical information, understandable.
Thank you for improving our quality of life! You have the best videos. 💖
So pleased to hear you like them!
Glucosamine never did a thing to help my knee pain, turmeric helps quite a bit, I take a tumeric and black pepper supplement!!
Which brand of turmeric do you take?
I used Fresh Tumeric and ginger with some black pepper. I grate the ginger and Tumeric and boil it with a dash of black pepper for about 15 minutes
@bobletter6938 nice to hear but easy on the turmeric. We onlynuse a quarter of a teaspoon in our indian cooking.
Turmeric in large amounts causes liver damage.
@@faridajafery8108 Turmeric is also good for preventing hair loss in men, right?
_sneaky_. So . Cheers
Hi,good morning. I am from Mauritius
Am new to your channel. I am suffering from knee arthritis some three yeas back.Glad I came with your videos.I'll put them in practice and let you know .Thank you.
the chrondroitin works for me but glucosamineby itself did nothing turmeric did a number on my stomach, nothing for the knees. Omega3 is great for lowering cholestrol and marine collagen are the things that work for me..i hate ibuprophen
I use Thrombocid Forte crème on my knees and works very well for me. It’s not expensive it’s worth a try!
Great information , thankyou . You cover the suppliments realy informtivly .
Thankyou . Tumeric, I have to watch .
Do you recommend a omega three suppliment .
Thankyou again .
What dosages do you recommend for turmeric and Omega 3?
Thank you so much for this presentation !!!!
I already take curcumin with piprin and omega 3 at bed time. I occasionally take trace minerals. I will see about boron. Good tip.
Wishing you all the best :)
Quality is very important. Thank you, Doctor!
True!
thank you for this clear and concise information . best wishes
You are welcome!
Thank You co much for the concise, helpful, information ,which No MD has ever given me.
Thank you. Most helpful, but what dosage is best. There are so many out there.
Very helpful information, Doc. I am one of those lucky people. Glucosamine works for me. I had severe pain in the knees. But after taking Glucosamine, I was able to play pickleball without any issues.
Which brand?
Excellent video, just what I needed
Thanks for this interesting video. I'll be buying these 3 items.
Thanks for this video I use omega 3 shall now use tumeric an boron also
Just remember that boron also has toxicity associated with it, which is dose dependent.
What about bone spurs does anything help? Thanks for sharing this video
Do you do any video regarding hand/fingers arthritis?
Mr. Will, thank you for such an impressive and sensible presentation of the 3 knee arthritis supplements I love it and I would like your script of the talk if you can let me have the link to it.
Thanks for the kind words! I don't have a script, I just talk to the camera :)

Your videos are full of useful information and I follow your channel. I have a question which I hope your can provide some advise: How can you reduce the size of large dorsal metatarsal head osteophytes without surgery, if possible?
Gelatine is very good. A half-teaspoon per day.
*Very good against osteoporosis, when combined with vit D3, K2(!!), magnesium*
I make my own Boron supplement.
The recipe:
*I dissolve 10 grams borax in 500 ml water. 1 ml solution contains 2 mg of active Boron. I take 5 ml daily, that equals 10 mg elemental Boron.*
The solution tastes quite bad, so I put orn a glass of water, in coffee or in food.
Look at this:
"According to the NLM’s Toxicology Data Network, borax is easy for the body to break down when either inhaled or swallowed.
From the top of my head, I remember reading about toxicity:
Compare the LD50 values for borax and eg table salt, NaCl.
If your on Blood thinners be VERY careful what vitamins or other supplements you take. Many interfer with the blood . No fish oils just for a start.
Thank you so much
Hi Will
Thx for your wonderful videos. May i know whats ur take on Type 2 collagen ? And if good , how best to take ?
Thanks.useful is egg plant good for arthritis have turmeric with peper everyday thanks again God bless
Great info will😊
Very informative and well explained video.
Thank you for sharing this information 🙏🙏💕
You're very welcome!
Really helpful and interesting 😊
you need to stop inflammation...by ENDING all sugar and high fructose...then try these one at a time to see which works
Simple and informative
Great tips. Thank u so much
