I am a Old Metal/Rock Head been a huge fan of Nightwish for over 20 years. My Mantra for listening to Nightwish is, MY FAVORITE NIGHTWISH SONG IS ALWAYS THE LAST SONG I’VE LISTENED TO ! Rock On Stay Safe!🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Oh, interesting. Usually, people react to the Wacken 2013 version. Nice to see this one, too! If available, live performances are always best! She's about 6'1". Each song may become your new favorite. LOL
Not always, but almost always. Some of the newest ones are just too hard to pull of perfectly during live (yet), also the early stuff are better as studio than live versions. With Floor you'd almost always want to go with live, unless it is from Human :: Nature, and with Anette you always want to go studio
Such a feel good song. How can anyone not love it. I think all Nightwish fans have this one in their favorites. Most of us will tell you it's almost impossible to have one favorite.
The wacken 2013 version is best but as a veteran watcher of Nightwish reactions it was refreshing to see a reaction to a different and still quite amazing performance of this song. Awesome reaction
"I now expect everything being perfection and as expected they have delivered perfection. AGAIN! How can this be possible?" Let me show you something: You are talking about a band in business since 1996. They delivered 8 studio albums including "Imaginaerum" (a concept album including a full length film and an over 20 minute long track), 6 live albums, 4 compilations, one soundtrack, one EP and 24 singles. They had several world tours, one running for over a year. They made songs with so many intersting guests, not just with other musicians, but with artists, dancers ... with "John Two-Hawks" an native american who performed life on stage with Nightwish. These band ... these people ... lust love to make music. I believe that Tuomas is just a god, just like Floor. He writes and composes all the songs this band plays. He did incredible solo projects (you need to check that out).
Love the smile on your face through that song, that is totally appropriate. The chorus is for Storytime is one of the greatest things ever, IMO. I love the whole thing, but that chorus feels so perfect. And of course Floor sings it perfectly. And yeah, she's a solid 6 feet with no shoes. She tends to wear heels, so I've heard 6'4" on stage. All her outfits are custom made.
Check out "Ever Dream" as your next favorite song 😄 But seriously, you are not the first who always thinks the new song is now their favorite, they just don't have nearly no bad songs.
@@joguipo Of course its always Wacken 2013 when possible, i mean even Floor reacts to Wacken 2013 😄 Nightwish singer REACTS to Ghost Love Score (Wacken 2013) th-cam.com/video/vY9oVBbeSI8/w-d-xo.html
Whenever I see a performance from this show, I can't help but remember that Floor's parents were in the audience. She said she had to avoid making eye contact with them or she would lose it. It always makes these performances even sweeter!
Sharing something you love with someone who reacts the same way I do every single time I listen is such a wonderful thing. Even it’s a fellow human on their YT channel who doesn’t even know me or that I am here, these reaction videos bring a new enjoyment to me, sometimes even more than just watching the videos straight. Seeing his enjoyment and amazement and love is a joy.
Man, your face the whole way through this is awesome. The pure looks of enjoyment and just amazement in what this band does. Nightwish has been one of my long time favorite bands, and I am glad to see someone with your technical love of music getting into them. They really took what you can do with metal and turned it up to 11. Theater, story, vocals, music, backing tracks, all above what even other operatic power metal bands do. And they are awesome live and I can say one of my best memories was getting to meet them at a meet and greet before a show several years ago. And yes, They are all amazing, sadly Jukka can't swing the sticks for them anymore, but Kai has been good stepping in. And even with a different style, Kai is good enough on drums that when I saw them with him live, he was changing up his style to mimic Jukka on the songs written for Jukka's style to keep the sounds right, which is awesome and shows his mad respect for his friend.
you must see the most epic performance of this drummer in the song SONS AND WINTER AND STARS for the band WINTERSUN. anyway, if you have more, you can enjoy the song SANCTA TERRA live for the band EPICA ft FLOOR, amazing performance of another perfect band too
And that is one of the reasons why I love Nightwish. It takes a lot of talent, skill and hard work to be able to sound as good live as on record and Nightwish is one of those rare bands that do.
They sound as amazing as a recording. Other bands should take note. This is how its done. I've been listening to them for over 15yrs. Tarja, Annette and now Floor. Simply amazing. 🤘🤘
There's no non-live version of this with Floor singing - it was inherited from her predecessor, Anette. There are versions with lyrics as subtitles or closed captioning though. Or plenty of online sources for the lyrics to keep in view during the song (although they sometimes have changed a little with development since thee original ones). Nightwish are BETTER live than on the albums though - they feed from the audience energy as much as the audience feed on theirs. It is harder to put emotion into your voice in the sterility of a recording booth. Not impossible, but live audiences bring it out far stronger. The exception to this among Nightwish's three leading ladies was Anette, who was never quite able to produce on stage what she did in the studio. Of course, we don't know how many takes she took there, and live is a single take. Floor declares her height at 183cm which is 6'0", although she has also stated her height in stage heels to be 2 metres even, so either those are 17cm (7") heels or she is understating her barefoor height (quite possible, as she was made to feel awkward as a teenager about it). I think maybe by the time she'd learned to laugh about the constant questions about it, it was a bit late to do anything about her official height for passports and the like. So yes, Floor is taller than the average man, even in her native Netherlands, which apparently is the tallest nation on average. Hard not to be an imposing stage presence!
Yeah, I have a lot of favourites: Ghost Love Score, Gethsemane, Story Time, Sleeping Sun, Shoemaker, Hows the Heart, Phantom of the Opera... All awesome!
@@shirazzza All good, we can always use another Valkyrie goddess among us mere mortals ;-) I was lucky at one thing in life, I'm 5'10 and my mom was 4-11, my dad was 5'3". Whew! Average? yes please !!
@@danielosheigh4793 ha yeah to be fair my grandparents on dad's side were small but he's 6'4 & his brother was 6'7. Their grandfather was 6'8 & a guard at Windsor castle, where my grandmother was born. Being that tall like in the late 1800s would have been quite the sight! I'm old now but I can still handle myself in a wild mosh haha even though I'm always the first person who gets landed on by stage divers 😂 Floor actually made me appreciate my height more that's for sure
@@shirazzza Wow thats an amazing story ! :-) All the way back to teh 1800's, inspiring! Age is just a number of trips around the sun miss, I'm probably in the same range I'd imagine ;-) Not a whippersnapper anymore, but man I do love an every now and again crushing in a great concert pit LOL. My family's, sadly, all on the shorter side heh. I think 2 of the men on my mom's side were around 6'3-6'4 or so, but most were all pretty average. And I don't think our family would be allowed on the grounds at Windsor, being Irish and all LOL.
The following is a great listing of various songs the Nightwish army has to offer. Dozens of different songs showing the variety of favorites. I think to most of us, the more we hear, the more favorites we have. I have given up on a list of favorites, I enjoy every single one. Always the live concerts as opposed to studio versions for your channel. Thank you, Nightwish.
If you want to see the level of commitment to the fans from this amazing band do a reaction to any of the songs from their live in Bogota Colombia. Floor and some band members had a really bad case of the flu that day but the show went on as planned and nobody would have noticed. One of the many, many reasons we love and protect this gift of a band.
Basically, every new song you hear by them will be your favourite song of theirs. Next? "The Greatest Show on Earth" from the same Tampere concert. "Your's is an Empty Hope" & "Alpen Glow" from the Wembly concert are great too.
You're not alone. Many people have gone through the path 'This is my new favourite Nightwish song, and I said the same of the one before, and the one before that'.
Don't worry man, this band has that effect on every single one, every time we hear new song it's new favorite. Heh, they are professionals for sure. And shout out from Finland Nightwish's home base
Nice reaction, thank you. She is a glorious 6' + a tad barefoot, with 4" boot heels, she's up there. Emppu the guirar player is 5'3"...They don't stand next to each other on stage very often. This song....Tuomas ( keyboards player ) who writes about 95% of their songs ( music and lyrics ) is a BIG Disney fan.
Many of the songs in Floor's early performances were originally sung by previous two singers although she made them her own. She recorded her first album with Nightwish in roughly 2015. Try Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean live in Buenos Aires 2018.
Nightwish is meant to perform live, and yes, after four years of listening to this band there isn't a song you would run to the bathroom for....At 77 years old, they are the tightest group i have ever heard....Now we come to this front women Floor, the very best female voice on the planet, please check out Floor's channel, which she has done many cover songs from her home studio in Sweden, during the Pandemic, and also stint on the Dutch TV show "Beste Zangers"....Their new album, Human/Nature, is Tuomas's masterpiece, and Floor's best vocals ever....
Do yourself a favour and check out the Wacken 2013 version of Storytime. The energy is off the charts. Floor doesn’t feature in the studio version as she took over the reigns as lead singer in late 2012, after that album with Storytime was released. Floor was destined to become the voice of Nightwish. Nice reaction again :)
I would recommend 7 Days to the Wolves, Shudder Before the Beautiful, Yours is An Empty Hope live at Wembley 2015. Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean, I Want My Tears Back, Dead Boy's Poem live at Buenos Aires 2018 The Islander Weak Fantasy live Tampere 2015
Dude, you hit it on the head. Floor Jansen is in , my opinion, the greatest female vocalist of all time. I think I would be hospitalised if she ever did a song with Myles Kennedy. He to me is the male version of Floor. Versatility/ rangs etc.All things music, rock whatever . Those 2 can do anything . So please Myles and Floor, do a duet so I can smile for eternity:)
My favorite song from them! It was amazing to hear the Tampere version. I always listen to the Wacken 2013 version of this. You have to check it out, that was the gold standard for this song I think, but as you say, this one was amazing too. You're right as well that their live perfomances are better than most band's studio performances. I found this quite late, though I have seen you react before (you're great, by the way). The other song by them I recommend is Ever Dream, also from Wacken. It's the one I go back and forth on between this one, as to which is my favorite Nightwish song, even though I love them all.
An amazing reaction dear Sir...welcome to our world which song is their best...the last one i listened to. This song is originally done by Annette on the album. I was curious about this song, cause i know the Wacken13 performance by heart and that is with Jukka and this 1 with Kai on drums, and yes he hit it out of the park imo. To do next...maybe Weak Fantasy from the same concert at Tampere. Thnx for this and Have Fun 🤘🖐
Tuomas (composer/keyboardist) is 6'2". So you can get a good comparison of her height in the sequence around 5:00 where she sings beside him, bearing in mind that her heels are about 4".
Lovely reaction. Live is the best way to listen to Nightwish. This song isn't about telling a story as much as it is about stories themselves. They are very good at making songs about concepts like storytelling. If you haven't already, please listen to their recent song called "Music," which is about humanity discovering music. Otherwise, one of my favorite Nightwish songs to see people react to is Romanticide. It's a very different vibe from this, and you get Marko singing.
Bro,you should be there and hear her voice live,I saw them in London a few years ago and was buzzing for 3days afterwards, her voice is amazing,to be fair the previous singers( tarja and anna)had amazing voices too.
Floor hates when she's asked about her height so now she answers 260cm, but the consensus seems to be 183cm... Also she hates when she's asked if she likes tacos and why she doesn't like them ^^
Almost a MUST for reacting to Nightwish is the live performance of "Poet and the Pendulum". I HIGHLY recommend having the lyrics pulled up as well, and maybe do a bit of research on the song and its meaning. It's insanely deep and personal to the band's composer Tuomas. It's broken up into separate sections as well. Such an amazing piece of artwork.
Good Sir, thanks for the reactions! I highly suggest all of the 2013 Waken concert. The sound quality literally sounds like a studio recording. Just wait til you get to "the greatest show on earth" - Same show at this one, and please it must be this show!!!! Keep it up!!
fail is not in the Nightwish vocab! Another outstanding video, MrLboyd! "Imaginaerum" , the album this song is from, was also "The Nightwish Movie" - different singer but 'what a ride!!'.... Floor is 6'3" + in those heels! (Emppu is 5'3" - hence "The Electric Hobbit"! - Marko kneeling still comes up to his shoulders!!!)... Floor's mum and dad were at that Tampere show!
I am a bit late to the Nightwish party here but .... Welcome to the phenomenon that is the genre of Symphonic metal and welcome to the Nightwish Army!! The Wacken Open Air Festival Concert back in 2013 had over 82,000 people at the concert. the current singer is from the Netherlands, and a majority of the band members are from Finland, although the woodwinds player is from England. They released their first album in 1996. SO WHAT STYLE OF MUSIC ACTUALLY IS BAND NIGHTWISH? Nightwish is actually one of the groups credited with the CREATION of the Metal Sub-genre of Symphonic Metal (according to Wikipedia!). Symphonic Metal in general only borrows the hard driving double kick drums, and the hard grungy style guitars and bass from Metal. However, in SYMPHONIC METAL the guitar is not the primary focal point, it is in fact the keyboards and their movie-scorish sounding orchestral sound. The keyboard player Tuomas Holopainen (first name pronounced as Too-oh-mas) is the composer of all of the music arrangements and is the leader of the group. He is a personal huge lover of movie scores, which is where a lot of the movie-scorish style sound of the keyboards comes from (which is the primary focal point of ALL of Nightwish’s music instrumentally). In Symphonic Metal 90-95% of all Symphonic Metal bands are all female fronted. Currently only Kamelot, Serenity, and a hand full of other Symphonic Metal bands even have male singers, and they are normally referred to as Symphonic Power Metal. The female fronted bands are the ones usually referred to over in Europe as ‘Symphonic Metal’. The most popular Symphonic Metal bands are Nightwish, Within Temptation, Epica, and Kamelot. When Symphonic Metal first started the female lead singers used an operatic style of singing, but as the Genre has evolved over the last 20+ years in the UK since Nightwish came long in 1996, they have adopted more of a contemporary style of singing like Floor uses currently. Floor Jansen is the 3rd and current Lead Singer since Nightwish released its first album in 1996, and she is from the Netherlands. Keep in mind when Floor did the Wacken Open Air in 2013 concert (Ghost Love Score), she had not been with Nightwish for very long, she was actually a FILL-IN for this particular tour. Nightwish was in the middle of the Imaginearum World Tour when they parted ways with their SECOND Lead Singer Anette Olzen (from Sweden), and Tuomas (pronounced as Too-oh-mas) called Floor and asked her if she could learn their entire set list in 48 hours and then fill-in for them for the rest of the tour. Within the next few short months, the band posted their first Official Live Performance video since they fired their first lead singer Tarja Turunen at the end of November 2005. During Anette's entire tenure with the band, Nightwish did not post ONE single solitary live performance video on their official TH-cam channel. Hmmm? Curious? At the end of this Imaginearum World Tour (just a few months later!), (As Floor tells the story in an interview) the Band pulled both Floor Jansen and Troy Donokley aside and asked them to be official members of the band. Floor said both her and Troy both had tears in their eyes. Troy had been a guest musician with the band on such official videos like The Islander, but never an official member of the band. The rest as they say ... is history. CURRENT BAND MEMBERS • Tuomas Holopainen - keyboards, piano, is the primary musical composer for all arrangements Is also who formed the band, and is the leader of the group. • Emppu Vuorinen - All guitars (been with the band since its inception) - (His name is pronounced Ehm-poo) • Marko Hietala - bass, male vocals, acoustic guitar (very recently this year retired from public life) • Troy Donockley - uilleann pipes, tin whistle, low whistle, guitars, bouzouki, bodhrán, backing vocals • Floor Jansen - lead vocals (Floor is Nightwish current and THIRD Lead Singer) • Kai Hahto - drums (NOT APART OF THE BAND YET WHEN THIS CONCERT WAS FILMED - Kai was hand picked by the groups original drummer Jukka Nevalainen to replace him when he had to stepped down for medical reasons listed below. Kai is a personal friend of Jukka’s, as well as was Jukka's drum teacher) FORMER BAND MEMBERS SEEN IN THIS CONCERT AT THE WACKEN OPEN AIR FESTIVAL FROM THE YEAR 2013: • Jukka Nevalainen - drums ( original drummer from 1997-2014 and is who you see playing drums in this concert at the Wacken Open Air Festioval Show from 2013. He had to step down for severe medial reasons, and handpicked his replacement. Jukka nearly died from a period of 2 straight years of severe insomnia, and had to be hospitalized because of it. Even though he stepped down as drummer, according to Toumas, he is the CEO of the Nightwish Corporation now. So he is still very much a part of Nightwish.) Other Former Band Members NOT seen in this video: • Sami Vänskä - bass (1998-2001) • Tarja Turunen - vocals (Nightwish FIRST Singer for the first 10 years of Nightwish existence from 1996-2005) • Anette Olzon - vocals (Nightwish SECOND singer, from Sweden, from 2007-2012) These are some songs I would recommend to listening to: 1. Poet And The Pendulum - This is one of the corner stone songs for this band. I would RESEARCH THIS SONG BEFORE REACTING TO IT. I would also not do this one right away, I would build up to this and get a few Nightwish songs under your belt before doing it. As stated above Floor Jansen is their THIRD Singer. Their first singer sang entirely in the operatic style and was Nightwish Singer for TEN YEARS. Her final concert was THE END OF AN ERA DVD concert filmed the end of October of 2005. Immediately after the conclusion of the END OF AN ERA concert Tarja received a letter called "The Open Letter" from the band telling her they were parting ways with her. Poet And the Pendulum is about the emotional heart wrenching experience of events that lead up to, during, and after that decision, and the backlash from fans after wards. This song is extremely INTENSELY emotional. Doing your research into this before hand will help you understand why this song was and is so impactful for the band and its fans. Id do the performance with lyrics. Here is a link: th-cam.com/video/iEzZRMthhXU/w-d-xo.html 2. Greatest Show On Earth - I would RESEARCH THIS SONG BEFORE REACTING TO IT. I would also not do this one right away, I would build up to this and get a few Nightwish songs under your belt before doing it. This song is about the creation of the universe, the big bang, and evolution. Be ready because this is a 20 min thrill ride that only feels like 3 or 4 minutes long. Also, I think its a good idea to look for the Tampere Finland show because of a surprise during the performance I dont want to ruin for you and it has lyrics so you can follow along. Look for the one with Lyrics and Fireworks both. Here is a link: th-cam.com/video/bl6lUfIMkGM/w-d-xo.html 3. Ever Dream - my absolute all-time favorite Nightwish song. The most high energy song they’ve ever done in my opinion. The Wacken 2013 concert is your best introduction into this one. Here is a link: th-cam.com/video/1Xi4n8dJcF8/w-d-xo.html 4. Romanticide - Be prepared because this is one of their heavier songs, and Floor and Marko both do some singing in this, and this one is an amazing thrill ride of a song. The Wacken 2013 concert is your best introduction into this one. Here is a link: th-cam.com/video/zz_7OCCQlXs/w-d-xo.html 5. Yours Is An Empty Hope - Maybe do this one from the Tampere Finland Show off of the Vehicle of Spirit DVD because Floors back ground vocals behind Marko on the chorus is amazing. Be prepared because behind Marcos vocals on the chorus, is Floor growling. You read it correctly, yes she really CAN do everything!!. Here is a link: th-cam.com/video/XtXqUNB8zrU/w-d-xo.html 6. I Want My Tears Back - You will get to see another member of Nightwish Troy Donokley who is their multi-instrument band member. He plays a variety of things in different songs, and in this one plays a variation of the bag pipe called the uilleann pipe. Here is a link: th-cam.com/video/ga-hR7CYbwQ/w-d-xo.html 7. Elan - (this is an extremely up beat high energy song that just leaves you feeling good). The Wembley Arena Show is a great one to react to. Here is a link: th-cam.com/video/XcwrwRKPaEg/w-d-xo.html 8. Alpenglow - this is JUST a feel good song which will up lift your spirits. This was such a fun song in the Wembley Arena Show from the Vehicle of Spirit DVD. Here is a link: th-cam.com/video/FrJvKZNEh7g/w-d-xo.html 9. Nemo - Nemo is from a Latin word which means no one or nobody. It is about a time in Toumas life when he felt his direction in life was aimless, and without real direction. It’s an awesome song and a HUGE favorite of long time fans. This song was originally written during the Tarja Era (the first singers era). Here is a link: th-cam.com/video/dR1gH5aQWBU/w-d-xo.html 10. 10th Man Down - This is from the Buenos Aires Show in 2018 during the DECADES WORLD TOUR. Here is a link: th-cam.com/video/Px1YJ0EdNAI/w-d-xo.html 11. Last Ride Of The Day - This song was the second to the last song for the Wembley Arena Show from the Vehicle Of Spirit Blu-ray/DVD. It is simply one kick ass song. Here is a link: th-cam.com/video/CdfhJmkZRbU/w-d-xo.html 12. 7 Days To The Wolves - This is another kick ass song from the second singers era, Anette Olzen, and I would do this from the Wembley Arena Show. You will also get to see Troy the woondwinds player on stage for this one!! Here is a link: th-cam.com/video/XvsfwAPbWXc/w-d-xo.html
You should definitely do all of Floors performances on Beste Zangers, you will see her range in full as well as the facts that she sings in 4 languages on the show. Dutch, German, Spanish and English.
there was aretha franklin in one era, there was whitney houston and then come modern time and floor jansen. i think there is many videos lyric subtitle. thanx to great react, plenty masterpiece songs still ahead.
You can find video with lyrics added if you look for them. Or on some videos you only need to turn on the cc at the bottom of the screen. Floor is 183 cm in bare feet. This type of symphonic metal does sound as good or better live. It really brings the energy and shows the real talent of these musicians. Lesser talent can sound great in the studio. You can do it over and over until you get it correct. But live will uncover all of the truth.
Hello, for this song to be really understood it requires a little, but not unpleasant homework. It is from their album Imaginarium. Tuomas, The guy playing the keyboards is the driving genius behind arranging, writing and producing their music and concerts. Other bandmembers collaborate, but it is largely him. He even writes the symphonic pieces that are performed by the London Symphony Orchestra, Their traveling background tape. The album came out about the same time as the movie written, produced and directed by Tuomas. As far as I know It is the only one he did and it is called Imaginarium same as the album. It is a first movie so we must be accommodating that the budget was not multi million dollars. Still, it’s an excellent piece of film. A little slow in some scenes but the overall movie is certainly something I would recommend. The song is very closely tied to the movie. If you would like a reference about the movie, think of Tim Burton on a budget. It is a fantasy movie about a young boy and a journey through life, or is it? It is very entertaining with his constant companion being a CG snowman. Further I will not say. It’s available on TH-cam.
Floor Jansen can performe technical every Song ever made from Nightwish, but Storytime is one of the few Songs that are written in mind for there second female lead vocal Anette Olzon.
Do the video sometime. Was really cool :) Anette doesn't do the opera breakdown, cause she's not trained in that vein of music, but wonderful singer. Reminds me a little of the 80's girl groups, which admittedly is not really considered metal to some but it is pretty awesome. I have been working on some of her later songs with her group The Dark element, cause we're pretty close in age and in range. So far, My Sweet Mystery, Songs The Night Sings, and Heaven of Your Heart ( tear jerker alert for that one. other 2 are fun. ) It was said on another post that Tarja is kind of the siren or dragon queen, Anette the fairy princess or like enchantress, and Floor, the valkyrie queen. Sounds like it to me :)
Another great reaction listen to some studios albums but only live performances for reactions the same songs sound different at different venues love your facial reactions keep them reactions coming your doing a great job 👍🤘
A tidbit: The dress Floor is wearing represents the double helix of DNA and is rendered in the colours of the Finnish flag. This was on the "Endless Forms Most Beautiful" tour which centred on evolution and science. From this same concert, listen to the finale, "Greatest Show on Earth" from the title of the book from Richard Dawkins. You will hear monologues from him during the song and in the Wembley version he appears onstage with them. It's a 21 minute epic so pack a lunch and bring the appropriate beverage. Watch until the very end of the video as it continues into the credits. th-cam.com/video/45brzDJKZ3o/w-d-xo.html GSOE starts with the Big Bang, the evolution of our solar system and ends with our extinction. Quite the swath for one song. Just a note about this video, it begins with the ending of the previous song, so just ignore that bit. The Wembley version has captions so you may want to do that one instead: th-cam.com/video/qrMwxe2ya5E/w-d-xo.html
She is a bit over 6 feet tall - probably 6’4” in those heels. Stage presence is simply off the charts. For your next favorite song - Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean, from Buenos Aires 2018, it will melt your brain
Our Queen is quite tall, but hates it. She was often teased about it, so it bothers her. She is perfect to me though. Never ask Floor about her height or tacos. Other than that nicest most down to earth Goddess you ever met.
"They sound better live than most of the bands in the album". Yes, that is actually the case with Nightwish also. The next one you could try is "Everdream" in Wacken 2013, but there are some 30 songs in line waiting...
I can't wait for you to eventually listen to The Greatest Show on Earth from this same concert. Would very much recommend having a video with lyrics. You seem like a very sophisticated guy, and I'd lovd to hear your thoughts on the message of the song.
When you have the time to dedicate to your craft without worrying about the necessities of life, due to the fact that while they pay a bit higher taxes, their healthcare is free since the '70s and you have been Educated in a place where science is respected and women are appreciated and mothers receive a welcome baby box from that same healthcare system, you too can be a master of your craft.
"The last song was my favorite song and the song before was my favorite song"
Yea...this kind of happens to everyone.^^
They all become favourite songs. Nightwish makes it hard to choose a favourite song. That’s why they are great 😊
There is no favorite song, just favorite band and emotions.
"What's your favorite Nightwish song?" "Yes."
7 days to the wolves from Wembly, London. Amazing!!!!
This one!!!
7 days to the wolves in Espoo Barona is better though just slightly...

Here's a good one for you "I Want My Tears Back" live in Buenos Aries , Troy play's his Uilleann Pipes and the crowd is wild there
Yes.
And we get to see Floor dance.
So true
That concert was NUTS! They even start singing a song for the band in return lol
Oh, interesting. Usually, people react to the Wacken 2013 version. Nice to see this one, too!
If available, live performances are always best!
She's about 6'1".
Each song may become your new favorite. LOL
I like this version better too. Floor just owns it!
Without heels. . . . . . . . . .
Not always, but almost always. Some of the newest ones are just too hard to pull of perfectly during live (yet), also the early stuff are better as studio than live versions. With Floor you'd almost always want to go with live, unless it is from Human :: Nature, and with Anette you always want to go studio
Floor is a high sensitive person. She feeds of the (positive) energy of the crowd and gives it back in mindblowing performances.
It's a feedback loop that amplifies itself.
Such a feel good song. How can anyone not love it. I think all Nightwish fans have this one in their favorites. Most of us will tell you it's almost impossible to have one favorite.
That’s Nightwish for you. They wrap you in their music and Floor’s voice and presence captivates you. Greetings from Alabama 😎
"this is my favorite song" until the next song.. This is the Nightwish journey 😁 great reaction, stay safe 🤘😁🤘
And, that's Nightwish for you - one of the very few bands that sounds even better live than on their albums, and their albums are really really good
The live version from the 2013 Waken show is even more incredible.
Floor is 183 cm. just over 6'0" but in heels on stage she is closer to 6'4". Check out 7 days to the wolves Wembley 2015 .
No you are wrong, Floor is 260cm.🤗👍
You can prove it here: th-cam.com/video/iZwu7VosIgU/w-d-xo.html
That was her joke after so many comments about her height
260cm would make her over 8' 🤣
@@williamadkins3359 Yes, that's Floor 😁.
Greetings from Finland, Nightwish's homeland 🤘🇫🇮
The wacken 2013 version is best but as a veteran watcher of Nightwish reactions it was refreshing to see a reaction to a different and still quite amazing performance of this song. Awesome reaction
Trust me, every time you hear a Nightwish song you will find a new favorite! And, always stick to the live performances!
"I now expect everything being perfection and as expected they have delivered perfection. AGAIN! How can this be possible?"
Let me show you something: You are talking about a band in business since 1996.
Check out "Ever Dream" as your next favorite song 😄 But seriously, you are not the first who always thinks the new song is now their favorite, they just don't have nearly no bad songs.
best take the live from Wacken 2013 of Ever Dream, that concert is a gold mine :)
I was just about to say both song and gig... Yeah...
@@joguipo Of course its always Wacken 2013 when possible, i mean even Floor reacts to Wacken 2013 😄

Ohhhh Nightwish forever🤘🔥💥
Nice reaction❤ Thank You so much 🥰🙋🏼♀️😘
I love that in a matter of days you have become Mr Nightwish. You're one of us now, you have been bitten by the Nightwish bug.
Greatest Show on Earth, Over 20 minutes and you'll be asking for more.
Seemed like a great concert . Music and singing was also well put together .
you must see the most epic performance of this drummer in the song SONS AND WINTER AND STARS for the band WINTERSUN. anyway, if you have more, you can enjoy the song SANCTA TERRA live for the band EPICA ft FLOOR, amazing performance of another perfect band too
Islander - both live and video are great. Definitely worth a listen
For a live vocal that's really tight and precise.
I've only heard one Nightwish song before.
Yeah, I have a lot of favourites: Ghost Love Score, Gethsemane, Story Time, Sleeping Sun, Shoemaker, Hows the Heart, Phantom of the Opera... All awesome!
Your smile tells the whole story! 😁
Floor's parents were in the crowd for this. Looks like an epic venue
She's 6'1, same as me. Pop on some 4 inch heels & she's formidable!
Grooowwr 6'1"....*drool* ;-). Pardon me I need my bib.

I'm old now but I can still handle myself in a wild mosh haha even though I'm always the first person who gets landed on by stage divers 😂
Floor actually made me appreciate my height more that's for sure
Please do Nightwish- The Islander live in Tampere
My own personal belief this song is that the story is the collected memories of ones life.
I’m so happy you love them. Me too!
Oh, you have to check out 'Weak Fantasy' from this Tampere concert.
The drummer really shines in it.
Let me change your world my man.
I want my tears back (wacken 2013)
Poet and the pendulum (live in wembley)
Greatest show on earth (live in tampere)
I would recommend 7 Days to the Wolves, Shudder Before the Beautiful, Yours is An Empty Hope live at Wembley 2015.
Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean,
I Want My Tears Back,
Dead Boy's Poem live at Buenos Aires 2018
The Islander
Weak Fantasy live Tampere 2015
Great reaction! I think NW is better live than in official vids. More feeling&energy. Floor is The Goddess:) Greets from Finland!
This is one of my favorites but have to say, the live from Wacken 2013 is my favorite version of it. Just smashes it.
All time have fun all band
Floor hates when she's asked about her height so now she answers 260cm, but the consensus seems to be 183cm... Also she hates when she's asked if she likes tacos and why she doesn't like them ^^
She had a mini taco this week on her channel 😂 It's an ongoing theme on her fan Friday videos.
this is exactly my caption for her 'caption this'-post - drawing the Katana from latest fan friday hahaha epic
Can we just agree as a comunity to edit her height on wikipedia to 2.60m?
Last Ride Of The Day Live @ Wembley 🔥🤘🙂
One day you will be ready for the great masterpieces: The Poet and the Pendulum and The Greatest Show on Earth
6’1 185lbs of pure Valkyrie heaven!!
Kiitos Tampere Finland :)
Good Sir, thanks for the reactions! I highly suggest all of the 2013 Waken concert. The sound quality literally sounds like a studio recording.
Just wait til you get to "the greatest show on earth" - Same show at this one, and please it must be this show!!!!
Keep it up!!
thank you for your reactions
I love Tampere’s show
fail is not in the Nightwish vocab!
I hope you will stay with the live versions.seeing them perform is where it’s at! Peace
Nightwish is joy
Your next favorite song is "Dark Chest of Wonders" it's the openings song of their Wacken 2013 concert and a real banger! ♣
The rest as they say ... is history.
CURRENT BAND MEMBERS
• Tuomas Holopainen - keyboards, piano, is the primary musical composer for all arrangements Is also who formed the band, and is the leader of the group.
• Emppu Vuorinen - All guitars (been with the band since its inception) - (His name is pronounced Ehm-poo)
• Marko Hietala - bass, male vocals, acoustic guitar (very recently this year retired from public life)
• Troy Donockley - uilleann pipes, tin whistle, low whistle, guitars, bouzouki, bodhrán, backing vocals
• Floor Jansen - lead vocals (Floor is Nightwish current and THIRD Lead Singer)
• Kai Hahto - drums (NOT APART OF THE BAND YET WHEN THIS CONCERT WAS FILMED - Kai was hand picked by the groups original drummer Jukka Nevalainen to replace him when he had to stepped down for medical reasons listed below. Kai is a personal friend of Jukka’s, as well as was Jukka's drum teacher)
FORMER BAND MEMBERS SEEN IN THIS CONCERT AT THE WACKEN OPEN AIR FESTIVAL FROM THE YEAR 2013:
• Jukka Nevalainen - drums ( original drummer from 1997-2014 and is who you see playing drums in this concert at the Wacken Open Air Festioval Show from 2013. So he is still very much a part of Nightwish.)
Other Former Band Members
NOT seen in this video:
• Sami Vänskä - bass (1998-2001)
• Tarja Turunen - vocals (Nightwish FIRST Singer for the first 10 years of Nightwish existence from 1996-2005)
• Anette Olzon - vocals (Nightwish SECOND singer, from Sweden, from 2007-2012)
These are some songs I would recommend to listening to:

3. Ever Dream - my absolute all-time favorite Nightwish song. The most high energy song they’ve ever done in my opinion. The Wacken 2013 concert is your best introduction into this one.
Here is a link: th-cam.com/video/1Xi4n8dJcF8/w-d-xo.html
4. Romanticide - Be prepared because this is one of their heavier songs, and Floor and Marko both do some singing in this, and this one is an amazing thrill ride of a song. The Wacken 2013 concert is your best introduction into this one.
Here is a link: th-cam.com/video/zz_7OCCQlXs/w-d-xo.html

Here is a link: th-cam.com/video/FrJvKZNEh7g/w-d-xo.html

11. Last Ride Of The Day - This song was the second to the last song for the Wembley Arena Show from the Vehicle Of Spirit Blu-ray/DVD. It is simply one kick ass song.
Here is a link: th-cam.com/video/CdfhJmkZRbU/w-d-xo.html
12. 7 Days To The Wolves - This is another kick ass song from the second singers era, Anette Olzen, and I would do this from the Wembley Arena Show. You will also get to see Troy the woondwinds player on stage for this one!!

Was going to come here to suggest Poet and the Pendulum- and yes to fully appreciate the song you must research the story behind it.
Sound familiar...the next song is your new fav...that's life as NW fan 🙂🤘
To me one of the more special songs is Walking in the air. The performance at Open Air with Tarja is magical.
But live will uncover all of the truth.
she s a beast
You have to listen to "the greatest show on earth" its probably nightwishes best song
Floor is 6 ft. tall and every inch is talent.
Nightwish is best enjoyed live my friend.
Another great reaction listen to some studios albums but only live performances for reactions the same songs sound different at different venues love your facial reactions keep them reactions coming your doing a great job 👍🤘
Nightwish is usually best live unless of course there isn't a live version. They just continue perfecting the songs.
What's my favourite NightWish song? The one I'm listening to 🤘
A tidbit: The dress Floor is wearing represents the double helix of DNA and is rendered in the colours of the Finnish flag.
The Wembley version has captions so you may want to do that one instead: th-cam.com/video/qrMwxe2ya5E/w-d-xo.html
the greatest show on earth , from the same concert at tampere.
i think the most "grand" song of them all.
or dead boy poem in live argentina.
You neeeed to do I want My Tears back from Buernos Aires, belive Me you will love it 🤷🏻♀️🙏🏻❤️🇩🇰🎶
She is a bit over 6 feet tall - probably 6’4” in those heels. Stage presence is simply off the charts. For your next favorite song - Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean, from Buenos Aires 2018, it will melt your brain
My second favorite NW song.
Even Nightwish sounds better live then on their on own albums cant feed of the crowds energy in a studio
At some point You should react to The Greatest Show on Earth, Tampere live. But not yet.. 😁
Our Queen is quite tall, but hates it. She was often teased about it, so it bothers her. She is perfect to me though. Never ask Floor about her height or tacos. Other than that nicest most down to earth Goddess you ever met.
She needs to be tall to look down on worthless mortals
"They sound better live than most of the bands in the album". Yes, that is actually the case with Nightwish also. The next one you could try is "Everdream" in Wacken 2013, but there are some 30 songs in line waiting...
In metal you are only worth, how good can you play your music (a)live. :)
Good one. Floor is a 6'1'' Siren/Angel/Valkyrie try Ever Dream, Song Of Myself, Romanticide, Ghost River, Nemo etc. New favourite next time lol
You can understand her better in the Wacken 2013 video.
