I absolutely loved the demo. The story and characters grabbed my attention quickly. Can’t wait for for pre-order copy to arrive

7:50 agreed. They should have everyone get the same exp. In reserve, assigned as an adjutant or a main fighter.
It's weird as someone whos played a lot of strategy rpgs, I was actually unimpressed by the demo. I was actually the opposite where I was sure I was going to buy this game when announced, but I tried the demo and decided not to buy it. Similarly with the new valkyrie profile, was initially sad to see the franchise shift to arpg go but after trying that demo It was pretty good! XD Anyways sqenix pumping them out nowadays a return to form??? them squaresoft days?? Excellent reviewer though and that shirt is absolutely fire!

For someone who loved the story and style of Triangle Strategy but didn't enjoy its tactical battles, this seems like the perfect game for me.

At last some reviewer talk about tried the hard difficulties, it's frustrated me when someone said the game is not "strategy" enough just because they play at normal difficulties.
the demo was cool ... kinda experimental but thats what I love ... The japanese devs are trying to make many RPGs .... as a fan of the rpg-genre I am really happy
I’m in support of square’s upcoming offerings like Diofield, harvestella, Valkyrie elysium, and others bc their jrpgs that don’t really need to be high budgeted to satisfy the niche they’re going for. For these past few years I’ve felt the hd era has finally panned out for Japanese developers, and seeing these kinds of ps2-style games have got me fed for a while. These games don’t have to be stellar knock my socks of titles, just pleasant solid experiences are more than welcome.
I played the demo and sincerely, the impression it left in me was that of an indie companies first experiment into making a game. Not necessarily bad, but its just too rough at the edges. The pacing was also all over the place.
I played the demo, finished it wanted to preorder it but def wont finished in a month’s time before the holiday releases, gotta wait for a sale maybe next year at least. But demo left a good impression on me tho.
The combat looks very similar to Tower of Time if you're looking for more of this style.

This is the resurgence of the Golden age of square and enix. Hopefully they give us the parasite eve remake and maybe vagrant story could do with a polish
I hope this game sells well so that they can remake Front Mission Alternative with this engine. It’s almost too perfect for that.
I was shocked with Square's investor letter early this year, brushing game design aside for NFT and metaverse praise. But their releases right now are just great, trying tons of new game design ideas for the company, and nailing all of them. Something we only knew from Nintendo themselves, their direct partners and maybe some Ubisoft studios on their own yet.
I enjoyed the demo very much. Will def keep and eye out for mah switch!

Couldn’t even really afford it but just pre ordered the collectors set with the board game.. lots of my friends who do TH-cam shite and have played it already say it’s great and I trust them because they know the type of game I like .. eh .. 130 hours into xenoblade 3 and at the very end of chapter 7 before entering the final area and working on all the side story ascension quests.. gotta get that done quick before it arrives .. if only I didn’t have to work a mundane job to also survive -___-

With the low textures and simplicity of the character models, I thought it would run a lot better on the Switch than what we got.
Great Video! Came here to see if I should play DioField/Triangle/or Ogre Reborn first as I don’t have a lot of game time.
I prefer a good political story, with a short battles and something not 50 hours long

Square-Enix are always at their best when making traditional games like this. Hopefully they retire from the live service crap after recently striking out with Babylon's Fall and before that both Avengers & outriders as well. Give us more games like Diofield, Triangle Strategy, Octopath, Live A Live, stick to Final Fantasy & Dragon Quest & Kingdom Hearts because that's what you do best Square-Enix. More traditional games & no more live service crap from now on please Square-Enix.

Uh... why Baldur's Gate of all things? This game is basically 3D take of Growlanser games just by the looks of it.

This game has strong “7/10” energy- new ideas, but a few stumbles on the way. It’s definitely got a cool gameplay style, and I’m looking forward to trying it out

Octopath traveler is so cheap on steam now but on switch still 60 and i would really like to play this ones on switch...

Gameplay just seems all around too easy and not quite as strategic as true turn-based like Triangle Strategy for example. Interesting idea, but doesn’t seem like anything more than an experiment to me so def not worth $60 with that being said

Just so you know, if a game JUST comes out, and you already say "now that I've beaten it," I Immediately don't want to buy the game. That is a terrible terrible sales tactic.
I was very close to buying it in the Japanese eshop. Lol
