What other wire burnt there, I would not expect a low amp, practically no amp CAN circuit to burn wires all alone? Can wires get shorted all the time and get shorted to ground and to power all the time without melting them. OK, after body work, got it. Would it be ok to ask for a full view of the TOPOLOGY to count all the online modules on every scanned car pls. ONE got cut off at the end of the scan but I noticed it earlier in the video. I gave this DIAG my highest rating in my private library.
Seems like all the newer cars you work on aren’t manufacturing defects usually body work related but still a good diag. I just had to replace 4 modules in a 2014 impala no low speed gm lan was at another shop for months. Called customer up said ya need a cluster hvac module air bag macular theft deterrent module then the story finally came out it was jumped backwards. Used same technique as you pulled all terminals out of splice pack added in one at a time
My market doesn't have older vehicles that break from use. I also try to avoid working on older vehicles as the repair value might exceed the vehicle value. Most of the time either the owner or the mechanic have replaced the component of the circuit in question. They call me when it's the circuit itself.
