4:12 Just wanted to mention that he saw you cause you had your axe out with burning shaft which brought your stealth up to 54. Unfortunately, the burning shaft increases your visibility which hurts stealth. Also, you can stay in stealth position to fight even if you wake one or two, the rest will usually not wake. Just have to fight them in stealth. This is so fun to watch :)
I did a regular clear quest for Jen of one of the army camps out in the burnt biome and it had 4 rad soldiers in the final loot room and I still only had a primitive bow and a quality 1 hunting knife.
It's weird when you find a good content creator with an awesome series, and you check their channel every few hours to see if they've dropped an episode. Guns, Nerds, and Steel is definitely that case for me lately.
LMAO "CHANGE OVER!" in my head I responded with "SWITCH" what an unsuspected little gem. Great series, helped me out greatly with my first real playthrough of the game. Although I'm not nearly as skilled nor ballsy to put all the difficulties so high. Really enjoying your content and your positive vibes. Keep up the great work!
Another amazing episode. Also, here in Brazil all houses are made of bricks and concrete, and iron bars inside to sustain. Funny that even 40m squared houses are made in such way. So yeah, if we had a zombie invasion here, at least each house could serve as a stronghold against zombies. Keep up the amazing work!
Every time my friends and I start a new navezgane run with friends, we usually make our first base in the Huenink residence. The lower floors being made of concrete makes the first two horde's much much easier, so it was nice to see you run through it :)
I'm aware of that, but dont think I woke him up. He was already awake and wandering around. He "saw" me and started moving over. I've been getting a lot of sleepers that are just wandering around inside POIs lately
@@GunsNerdsandSteel Yeah ive noticed that as well but i kinda like that idea less triggers and just patroling zombies in a POI could make for some really fun stealth play !
@GunsNerdsandSteel Rewatching this series again now that v1.1 is out and they changed the detection meter to better represent what is happening. Apparently there is a partial detection where they detect something but not specifically what, so they wake up and start moving around. The zombie had the wake but not aggro and then you went around the corner it "saw" you
If you plan on sneaking then don't use the helmet light mod or flaming mods for weapons. If you plan on being a tank then don't use the night vision goggles mod. Using the helmet light mod makes you more easier to be detected than using the night vision goggles mod. The flaming mods make noise and emit light.
The bow did okay for stealth kills for a little while, and the crossbow became a major improvement, especially on saving ammo. However, now that I'm into Tier 4 and 5 POIs, I have to use a silenced AK, and just crafted a Tier 6 one. The ferals and rads are dense bullet sponges, and of course the more difficult biomes really ramp up the difficulty. I don't have a crucible yet, and the much-needed steel is priced way too high to be a priority from the traders. Something that I found to be pretty cool when wearing the full assassin set and headgear; I sneaked into the middle of a wandering horde at night and stealth killed every one of them with a hunting knife, every hit got the stealth damage increase because they couldn't see me even when I was right in front of them. Sometimes in POIs, zombies wake up and move around but can't detect me at all, they'll run off or jump out of the windows and wander around. It can be very annoying for clearing.
Just the other day i was clearing out a 5skull difficulty building in the snow, wich adds 1.5 skulls of difficulty. When me and my friend went to the roof there were like 30 radioactive zombies, it was the first time i felt overwhelmed by zombies outside of blood moons 😂. We had pump shotguns, tactical assult rifles and stuff, and it did not matter
4:50 Creative use of ladders, I approve. While each PoI might have a flashlight trail you can follow, you're always free to approach things however you want. Between that and the double-looting before triggering a quest you'll join the 'Dark Side' of PoI clearing before long. All that's missing is putting a signboard in front of a vendor with the direction and distance to a nearby Crack-a-Book so you remember to always snag those quests. 😈
I've just gone for simplicity with buried supplies recently; go to the centre, dig down three and just slowly rotate, taking out every block in reach until the boundary appears, then dig in the opposite direction.
I just did the Towersly Estate POI yesterday. If you follow the prescribed path you end up "blocked in" while looking for the final Z's and... you get viciously ambushed. Blocked to the front, low ceiling preventing a jump to safety, 3 Spiders blitz your left, 3 (or 4?) Z's blitz your right, and 2 or 3 Sh*tbirds attack your head with no immediate escape route. Kudos to the POI creator. Ya b*st*rd. 🤬
I usually run from wights also, but I found a level two pump shotgun on day 16 in a desert POI. So I don’t run unless the wight has backup.😂 can’t wait for the next episode.👍🏼
Love your channel! One of my go to mods is the Arrow-Crossbow Ammo Conversion mods so you can convert arrows to bolts and vice versa on the fly when out and about exploring. So handy when you loot either and can quickly convert them. I'm amazed you do not use a Stack Size mod to help you stack more first aid, food, water, resources, etc..
I am flabbergasted about how you have a crucible by day 6. It was like day 30 by the time I got mine... I did the first two hordes with a cobble base and a wooden club. xD
That Station 8 firehouse looks like a solid move in ready POI. With two spots for small farming and a large spot for making a helipad with a nice area for a non horde night fighting position
Definitely the infested quests are harder, I tried one at a tier II POI and got a feral biker along with 2 cops and 4-5 regulars in the final loot room...this was day 4 in the forest biome, around level 12. I welcome it being a bit harder, makes it more fun! I wish they'd gotten rid of, or at least scaled back, the need for crafting books in 1.0. That system got old really fast.
You'd be amazed what a fully tricked out stealth build can do. Zombies will lose you in seconds from five feet away in the dark and you can one shot anything you get the drop on. For me it's a great playstyle, it gives a better sense of purpose to how you move through a POI and feels very smooth if all the rules are ashered to. Just needs a good big automatic to save you from zombie traps you can't avoid even if smart.
Lucky find on the crossbow, i guess u glad to not craft the iron one😄. i was able to pull out a nice ak on day 10. the progression is bit better so far, but the traders have too much high tier stuff on them like the crucible and such things. overall it was a nice change so far, and i like to play and watch some more. thanks for entertaining. cheers
Been looking forward to these everyday! Do you know if these 1.0 save files will carry over for the official release or if we will have to start over again?
At the Fire Station the Hazmat Zombie spotted you when you walked through the door with the flaming axe because your stealth meter went up to 62! Burning Tool Mod and Headlight both do serious damage to your stealth abilities. Moving with the bow you are around 20. The knife is around 5-8
This is something I admit that I missed in Horde Every Night - just a simple video where steady indirect progress is made. It feels like coming home to see it again.
You probably know that buried supplies quests are far easier if you dig a trench or two before starting the quest. Saves at least 2-3 waves of zombies...
I know you like the preacher gloves, but for POI exploring, you might want to look at using the full Assassin set. A lot of POIs have the big enemy ambush near the end and with the full set I've been able to hide and they'll tend to deaggro after a few seconds with level 4 sneak. It's pretty amazing
The assassin's full outfit is so op. So op I think it broke my horde night. I only upgraded my base supports from concrete to steel and got that full armor set and my horde base just suddenly didn't work. I had to run outside my base and stand in front of it to get them to come after me instead of my supports (they also were randomly attacking my 4x4 that was out of the way). When I did that, I crouched down and I was getting sneak attack bonuses even though they were still running right at me lol.
4:09 look at your sneak meter when you pull out the fire axe with the burning shaft mod on it. It spikes through the roof. That’s why zombies are waking up.
instead of placing blocks down for the buried supplies, just dig a block out instead,...it's just as effective and counts towards shrinking the circle!
Yea they definitely upped the difficulty, playing on default settings and I'm running into 2-4 ferals a night, and they are much stronger than they used to be. I was lucky enough to get a tier one AK on day 4 or 5, and it's saved my ass a few times.
It was not however enough to save me from a dog horde I ran into. Hopped off the bike to kill a single party girl, got jumped by 8 dogs. Had every status condition possible before I even realized.
@user-ip6wq7vr7m not to high, probably just over 10 or 15 maybe. It was right after I got the bicycle. Like on my bike home. But that's also by estimating how many skill points I had spent by then.
I still don't have a helmet light mode. Somehow I got a workbench as a reward for a quest, but no dew collector or water drinking mod. I got one day to build my base before the first horde and I got to defend it with a crossbow, a wooden club and a pipe machine gun. And somehow the Wasteland seems like it covers most of the map, I have no fvkcing idea where the desert is (my favorite place to fight and build). Yeah, I'm screwed...
@mando686 you can build a dew collector without the mod, it's just really slow. I went several days without one thinking the same. Just scrap poly, pipes and duct tape
A couple of 1.0 things I've noticed: Walking diagonally is faster than walking forward (may be due to armor) Moe's grocery has bigger fence, but the loot is still super gankable by placing a frame in front of the gate and using the keybox.
Same goes for swimming btw. And if you have the 'crouch sprinting' it's actually WAY faster to crouch sprint along the bottom of the water....crazy stuff. lol
No more infestations till you get reliable guns! No more truthful words could ever be said! Just a few weeks back I did a mission for trader Bob in the desert with a similar parkour/stealth build to you own. I only had a hunting knife, bow, 9 mm pistol, I had just found a poor quality lever action rifle and so I took the job. It all went sideways and I wasn't even playing version 1.0. Well... I entered the P.o.I. the wrong way, forgetting zombies would respawn behind me and suddenly an irradiated cop, biker and wight are chasing me through the building into a legion of zombies. Luckily, while jumping over furniture and hiding behind doors, I got the cop to explode a few of the others, bringing down the floor above me and getting stuck in the rubble with around 30 health to spare and one zombie left to knife to death before I dug myself out. Hilariously, the last zombie is a big mamma hiding around the corner. I'm not sure how she didn't wake up between the explosion and frantic gunfire but I limped to the trader for my reward. No matter the game version, remember to have at least one decent quality close range weapon when doing an infestation mission and always enter from the intended "front" of a building. Shortcuts spawn death squads!!!
Wrenching for mechanical and electrical parts, breaking down polymer and stacks of meat have been my source for dukes. I get what I can going to and from jobs and get a few thousand dukes each time.
Tip: if you don’t have a horde base you can go on top of a large building and just wait out the horde and the zombies will take too long to destroy the foundation of the building so building a horde base isn’t necessary
I was also using my tier 1 pistol with 2 mods after 2nd Horde night, it takes 3 shots to kill a regular zombie. The overall strength of 1.0 zombies are greatly increased, Tier 2 infestation is manageable but tier now feels like a tier 5 now
Hey Tem. I had an idea for your next playthrough and I think you might like it I'm not sure but it's an idea I left you a comment earlier. Have you ever seen the movie Spider Head with Chris Hemsworth? it's an awesome movie and there's like this institution / prison type base where they keep the prisoners I guess you could say and the base itself is just such a cool design and it's like coming off of the ocean it's really neat I think if you do another play through you should build a base like that just a little tip for you I'm trying to build one now myself. I could only find a few images of it but definitely look it up it's very cool and by the way I love your 7 Days videos you are by far my favorite TH-camr when it comes to 7 Days video so thank you for that! Also all you have to do is watch the trailer for Spider-Head and you'll get a glimpse of the base it's awesome man I really hope you do that soon..
putting mods on high quality weapons and tools is no longer as good a deal as it was before, it's now basically pocket change, the mods alone sell for so little and the increase in their value in items isn't huge the way it was, but it is still slightly more.
Zombies detect you better if you are wielding something with the burning shaft on. If you have to pull it out don't move around with it. Or better yet just don't put it on a tool/weapon, it's not worth it when you are stealthing. Well you did already wrench all the gas out of the ambulance before it blew.
hey, i started my first game in alpha 1 with 200% exp, too. I am now at day 10 and it is starting to backfire quite a bit with a gamestage of over 110 an lvl 50. i burned through the quests and hit a wall at tier 4 right now. My firepower is severely lacking xD. First horde at day 7 was a nightmare too. Thankfully i can start producing concrete so i have hope for day 14 ...
U should make a scavenger helmet for horde night it is way better for xp modifier. And snow looks like no fun yikes!! If u want to stay stealthy I would make a compound bow rather than the crossbow. The bows make almost no noise when fired but the crossbows seem to wake up everything after one shot. The last bow is super accurate so no need to worry on that front
Odd suggestion, but for horde night have a premade route to run through a city. Holding one building at a time then jump or run from position to position.
Glad after so damn long they still haven’t fixed the cross hair not going away when you ADS. Also, what difficulty are you playing in? Is this the new “normal” mode or are you playing on a harder difficulty?
Hey I forgot to add to the previous post that there is a mod that allows you to craft from containers on Nexus as well. Not sure if its by the same person.
Starting to see that diverting from an attribute path makes it more difficult if you go into harder biomes or play at higher difficulties. think the days of 5 attribute points and 1 or 2 points in a damage perk are over if folks don't want to have tough times fighting once they get around the time where feral zombies are more common.
I notice you right click power attack with your knife almost every time, do you find that better/easier to kill zombies quickly? I usually power attack no more then twice/zombie, the left click attack is so quick I thought it felt quicker and easier to stack bleeds. I am using a stealth knife build as well but I've always used stealth in my play throughs, because I found it to be a little over powered and I usually play insane (not on version 1.0 though so far). I noticed when you stack stealth skills/outfit that zombies just lose interest in you, I hope they nerf that a little bit because it makes poi's a little too easy in my opinion. Great video, cheers.
you should have seen the number of rad soldiers I had to deal with in one of the forts in the forest... there were probably 8-10 rad soldiers, plus a feral wight, plus some ferals... in a T4 loot room. That escalated quickly o.o Thankfully they had lots of land mines scattered about so I put them to good use ;)

Wrenching for mechanical and electrical parts, breaking down polymer and stacks of meat have been my source for dukes. I get what I can going to and from jobs and get a few thousand dukes each time.
I like your plan, a little here and a little there adds up at the end of the day
iirc the "fire"(mod)-axe does reduce the sneak thingy, making zombie notice you more. think headlamp does the same?
This is correct. Turning on the light increases your detection rating. The Night Vision does not, however.
Tip: if you don’t have a horde base you can go on top of a large building and just wait out the horde and the zombies will take too long to destroy the foundation of the building so building a horde base isn’t necessary
I'm sure he's aware of that fact. He just really likes making bases that have both function and form.
@@Gardolind true it is good for content but if he can’t build the base in a time it is a good back up plan
I was also using my tier 1 pistol with 2 mods after 2nd Horde night, it takes 3 shots to kill a regular zombie. The overall strength of 1.0 zombies are greatly increased, Tier 2 infestation is manageable but tier now feels like a tier 5 now
They should add amour racks so you can quickly change your different load outs
Great episode
putting mods on high quality weapons and tools is no longer as good a deal as it was before, it's now basically pocket change, the mods alone sell for so little and the increase in their value in items isn't huge the way it was, but it is still slightly more.
Zombies detect you better if you are wielding something with the burning shaft on. If you have to pull it out don't move around with it. Or better yet just don't put it on a tool/weapon, it's not worth it when you are stealthing.
Well you did already wrench all the gas out of the ambulance before it blew.
26:20 SWITCH 💜 something’s you’ll never forget. 💜
hey, i started my first game in alpha 1 with 200% exp, too.
I know for a fact I'm not going to keep changing armor parts all the time.
the fire on the weapons seem to effect sneeking
U should make a scavenger helmet for horde night it is way better for xp modifier. And snow looks like no fun yikes!! If u want to stay stealthy I would make a compound bow rather than the crossbow. The bows make almost no noise when fired but the crossbows seem to wake up everything after one shot. The last bow is super accurate so no need to worry on that front
Your base looks like a sandcrawler! Utinni
Odd suggestion, but for horde night have a premade route to run through a city. Holding one building at a time then jump or run from position to position.
Isn't it funny how a regular animal can infect you? Really enjoyed the video.
It'll be funny if that bear stands up😅
I laughed too hard at the brain fart moment lol
Glad after so damn long they still haven’t fixed the cross hair not going away when you ADS. Also, what difficulty are you playing in? Is this the new “normal” mode or are you playing on a harder difficulty?
Bro said change over and I got flash backs to recruit training😂
Lol in the Caribbean most houses are made out of concrete
Hey I forgot to add to the previous post that there is a mod that allows you to craft from containers on Nexus as well. Not sure if its by the same person.
Thanks Tem, cheers cobber.
Starting to see that diverting from an attribute path makes it more difficult if you go into harder biomes or play at higher difficulties. think the days of 5 attribute points and 1 or 2 points in a damage perk are over if folks don't want to have tough times fighting once they get around the time where feral zombies are more common.
@@Slingblade2040 Preacher gloves is the answer. Unless they nerf it.
Also I just realized I hadn't left likes on your older videos, sorry about that. I will go remedy that now. Cheers again, have a good one mate.
Using the knife as the main melee weapon seems to be such a pain!
What length do you set for days in your videos? Do you keep the default 60min or do you increase it?
"Who builds their house out of concrete?" - meanwhile us germans: 😅
How do you do that 3rd person camera thing?
you should have seen the number of rad soldiers I had to deal with in one of the forts in the forest... there were probably 8-10 rad soldiers, plus a feral wight, plus some ferals... in a T4 loot room.
That escalated quickly o.o
Thankfully they had lots of land mines scattered about so I put them to good use ;)
Min. 34:20 : Pretty much everyone in Europe builds houses with concrete. 😅
What do you use in America?
Wood, plaster, plastic
