You should dedicate a locked slot in your inventory for the Nerd Outfit instead of carrying all your mags back to base so you will only be sacrificing one slot instead of many.
Stealth mechanics used to kind of suck in 7DTD, but with 1.0, they're actually pretty good now. I've been playing a stealth character, with the stealth perks and assassin armor, and I've found that two of the most important things a stealth character can do in 1.0 is never stop sneaking, even if something is attacking you, and ALWAYS carry a stack of stones on your hotbar for distracting zombies. These tactics work even in infested clears, if you're methodical enough. If you get attacked and you're not in immediate danger of being overwhelmed, just keep sneaking and kill them, because as soon as you stop sneaking to try and maneuver with speed, you're likely to get the attention of a whole lot more trouble than you already have. On top of that, even if you wake up zombies in a POI, they usually won't know where you are because of your stealth bonuses (even while you're fighting other zombies as long as you stay crouched), so even if you see the red markers moving around on the compass it doesn't mean they're coming right for you. In this situation, you can use those stones to lure those active zombies into places that give you more advantage, often where they will have their backs turned to you for a big sneaky backstab, or lure them out in the open for you to get sneaky headshots with your bows or pistols. Tossing stones is also GREAT for wandering hordes that you come across, because even though they're active, they won't know where you are, so the entire group will tend to run straight for the stone you threw, making them prime targets for something like an explosive arrow or bolt or molotovs if you're close enough, and when there's a demo zombie in the group, you can just pop their button to do tons of damage to the entire horde while they're dogpiled on that stone you threw. On the other hand, you can just toss a stone to lure that group of zombies away from you while you sneak off some other direction.
@@Kevlin0069 Thanks for this helpful information I plan on getting the game when I have money and I want to see what this is like to play a completely silent character
A tip i have is bring the nerd outfit around with you when you go looting, or at least keep it in your ride. It will save you many slots vs carrying all magazines to base
For some reason, over half of my tier 3s and every tier 4 I have done so far has had awake "wondering" zombies... is this a new feature? Keep up the great work!
Hey Tem, I can't confirm this but I believe there are "wandering sleepers". Those zombies in the attic did wake up but they just patrol once you are in range.
Oh, so they did implement something decently new this update, heard about those eventually being a thing but having those makes POI clearing a little more dynamic, nice
The... base of the base- the lil off shoots lookin like a star wars at walkers feet. Kinda a cool look tbh, really fulfills the brutalist look you seem ot be going for.
Senor Dragos residence has a hidden weapons bag at the top of the stairs leading to the loot room. When you reach the top of the stairs, go forward 2 - 3 meters, turn left and break down that wall. It also serves as a "zombie closet". After that first wall is gone (revealing the zombie closet), break down the back of the zombie closet to reveal the hidden weapons bag.
Not long started playing 7 days after watching your videos, been enjoying the older series while waiting for the next in this series, was so hyped when I got the notification for this!
Wandering sleepers are definitely a thing. To what extent is not known, but it was confirmed on the forums that they have been implemented and this is just the start of what's to come. Can't wait!
LOVE this fighting position design. Not sure I've seen anything like it before. It's both simple and secure. Also love that we are finally in a base that isn't cramped again. I ain't looking to play Rust 😂
All the base building gave me an idea - can't you theoritically link a pressure plate to a powered vault door and automatically throw zombies down? Put another plate next to you so you can close it back up sort of deal, saves you the hassle from having to do it manually when things are chaotic
Zombies can activate trigger plates, but it will mess with their pathing. The moment the door opens, the zombies will start attacking the base supports.
@@Shiriaru612 In that case just use the plate on the inside so you don't have to fiddle with opening the door manually - saves time and reduces stress during horde night if you need to repair a bit Same idea as now, just less cumbersome
If you find the Hyde residence the garage has some old fashioned gas and oil signs inside. It is a T3 that has a catwalk connecting the garage and house.
your current playstyle is how I always play haha. I always go stealth and parkour for stealth kills. Also as a heads up, the laser sight lowers your steath same as flashlights do. That's why I never use them.
That heavy armour looks interesting 😅. Just found your channel last month & been binging the playlists. I thought about waitin til this series was a supercut but I'm not that patient 🙈
I think the Pistol is criminally underappreciated as a stealth tool because of its near silent operation when suppressed. The crossbow will probably put down ferals or rads more reliably with a single headshot, but as you can see, the followup shots with the pistol make finishing a surviving zombie off significantly easier. Plus, it's not only the quietest firearm when silenced, it generates the least heat. It's an excellent all around weapon and probably the only Tier 1 ranged weapon worth keeping once you start finding higher tier handguns or even the SMG. I often carry a crossbow, a suppressed pistol, and suppressed SMG while stealthing. The SMG is mostly there for the heaviest resistance, but the pistol and crossbow do most of the wetwork.
Ive only found 2 Legendary parts so far, I used them on Preacher gloves and Rogue Hood, Next will be on my steel Spear, and then on my Commando Boots and Chest. I like how you added 2 Fighting positions, But I havent had a problem with it , because I can repair it, I have 2 ramps up, they did take out one, Now mine are 1 Block Wide, so I may in crease this for the next, but I will still keep double Ramps I think for security. (This said it was opn the 2nd Horde night and it wasnt a 12+ Block Drop), it will be for next Horde, But plan on Moving to Desert Next. Keep up the videos !
The additional blocks on the bedrock-connection pillars kinda resemble the feet of the AT-AT walkers from Empire Strikes Back. And given that the base is in the snow biome... appropriately thematic if ya ask me. That said, the base as a whole is coming together quite nicely, and I can't wait to see it get its first paint job. And an idea that struck me as I was writing this out... why not add a couple railings to the flat sections of the approach ramp for the zombies? Give them another literal hurdle to clear before they reach the fighting position.
Infested clears seem to be more of a flex than for the reward. You burn lots of ammo and first aid for little reward. Seems like a loss to me but idk. I won't do them anymore. Atleast not until they beef up the rewards. It's just not worth it. Not enough buck for my bang... 😂
24:00 Wandering sleepers were sneakily added into 1.0, I've encountered it myself plenty of times. :) When a sleeper spawns, there's a chance it will go into wander mode, but without knowing your current location.
Love these videos for builds and that you take chances on new base designs. I tried to do that and man it turned out so bad but that's part of the fun. try out new builds, see if it works and if it becomes a massive failure well that's part of the fun. weird how base designs that fail and have us running around for our lives and trying to survive end up being fun horde nights.
Have been waiting for your next video. The hoard night was awesome. This may help a bit for QuickStack. Alt-X twice quickly will transfer your unlocked inventory to storage (for existing stacks in containers). Alternatively, Alt-Z (one to replenish stack twice to pull full stack) will PULL from storage to your inventory. Have to be careful to not use Alt-z when unloading as it will pull from your storage containers to your inventory and then it's a manual unload. I like to leave one of an item in storage to quickly put stuff away. Dude, you are going to be so HOOKED on this mod. :) If you can design your parking to within 7 blocks (I think) you can unload immediately when exiting your vehicle. I am just starting my first 1.0 playthrough and I can't believe how much harder it is than A21. I can go 50 days w/o a death and on day 7 I already have two. lol

Jawoodle showed a trick for preventing cop spit from getting past the bars in his infinite Zombie Run Horde base the other day. You may want to look at that.
They'll not beat through the melee spot but they'll prefer going 2 blocks left and beat through the solid wall. To fix it, make a gap between the ramp and your base's wall.
Not sure what you're thinking of.. They do prefer to beat through the melee position and there is a gap between the ramp and the wall. A few of them have become snagged on the plate strips that i'm using to attach the ramp so those need to come off though.

I agree, i’ve been using that setup and it’s really good. my only issue is i don’t know how to make it very strong, i find doubling the block up on the fighting position is worse because then the catwalk can’t be flush and i can’t reach far enough if it isn’t flush, maybe it’s a just a me problem?
