Alexi Laiho got stuck with this woman when he was only 19 and the best guitarist in the world and unfortunately was never able to get rid of her. She stressed Aleksi a lot.

It was later that Shagrath and Silenoz became more prominent there, but here you see them say very little really. Even Astennu talks more than them. Which I guess means Nagash and Astennu are more outward and Shagrath and Silenoz more introverted.
Well, I think it just meant that Nagash was more skilled at English than them at the time. Astennu was from Australia, Kimberly was from the US... them both are native English speakers. On the other side, Silenoz, Shagrath and Tjodalv were less fluent with English. Shagrath himself admitted their English was really bad back in the mid 90's.

If you check Covenant videos from the era also, you can see he talks a lot in the shows, and has the better English to boot.

Dimmu Borgir's "Enthrone" was the downfall of Norwegian black metal. There hasn't been any good Norwegian albums since 1996-1997. Before that everything was top-tier.

Dimmu Borgir's "Enthrone" was the downfall of Norwegian black metal. There hasn't been any good Norwegian albums since 1996-1997. Before that everything was top-tier.

Isn't Gaahl of Gorgoroth also from Bergen? the man was a philosopher of his time, just seen an ancient documentary of when he was in his twenties or so, it's so surreal yet fascinating.
