Nice trip. I'm disappointed you didn't try cruising there. Literally the best holiday I've ever been on was cruising in the nile. I would definitely recommend cruising should you find yourself in Aswan again. Cheers.
The Nile water in the north seems dirtier cause it’s muddier. In Aswan the Nile runs on a sandy/rocky bottom so it looks cleaner. The northern part of the Nile is were all the fertile agricultural land is located and it’s the reason why the water looks darker due to the color of the soil.
It's polluted in the north because those are not the original people. It's clean in the south because the so-called Nubians are the original people of the land
A quick fact : the Old cataract hotel was used to film scenes from the Agatha Christy Novel 'The death on the Nile' and also 'The Secret of The Nile '. A Egyptian Tv series. Well Worth a watch on Netflix.

@@jurgenwindcaller4 can you stop with the people cant afford , not all egyptians are poor , my parents are from aswan and we are will feed and we had PlayStation 1 when it first come out , not everyone cant afford , some families prefer not spending money on games and rather education or buying something they see worth in , games to them seem unnessary.

I stumbled upon your channel a few weeks ago while I was searching for fun things to do in Cairo and I loved it. What I liked most about your channel is that it's not all about the pyramids, museums, Luxur and Aswan like just about every other Egypt video I've seen on TH-cam. You do actually show a lot of normal places and everyday things that are not necessarily tourist attractions; adventures, restaurants, etc, and you approach it from a sociocultural perspective; really amazing!

No, the Nile is more polluted in the north that's why it's less clear. In Aswan the Nile runs above fertile dirt, the rock/sand is along the shore.
