I just bought the 2025 CX-50 Select (base) model. It has a reliable Japanese NA 4 cylinder engine with a 6-speed transmission. No CVT. AWD. It also has Apple CarPlay, dual zone A/C zones, premium interior, and stylish exterior. I had other vehicles with sunroof, leather seats, power lift gate, heated seats, and Bose sound, but I never saw the value in those added options.
To get the car to lock, you can’t have your fingers underneath the handle as you confuse the sensor whether or not to unlock or lock. You just swipe your thumb on the outside of the handle to lock it. A lot of cars have the same feature these days (:
Great review! I really like this SUV and Mazda in general because they tend to have a more premium looking interior and the exterior looks so nice. I like the idea of the cloth inserts in the seats if you live somewhere super hot (like I do) and you don't have ventilated seats. I mean for me for the $$ you get a lot with this one and a ton of cargo space. Another home run video! Hope all is well for you and that you are enjoying the weekend!
Thank you!!! Yeah Mazda has been doing really good lately. You are right about the cloth not getting that hot. I actually didn't think about that until you said it lol. All is well for me and I hope it is for you. Again thank you 😊
In my humble opinion i think CX50 is more Beautiful than CX5 having said that CX5 is a gorgeous SUV, but since Mazda promoted CX50 has an off road SUV they need to: 1-increase ground clearance 2- Skid plate like TRD PRO 3-surround view camera for off road activity 4- more rugged look 5- add inline 6 engine 6- gloss black cladding will look great on CX50 from a design standpoint 😊
The only thing I HATE about this car isn't even a fault of the car. It's the trunk button on the key fob... I keep my keys in my pocket any time I'm using my car. The number of times I've discovered my trunk wide open or been told that my trunk was open has left my jimmies severely rustled
I have not seen on any of these videos about air pressure on each wheel, does it give you air pressure in each tire? I can't find it anywhere or in the specs for this model.
I got my new CX50 S Premium 2weeks ago and really love to drive it. Im gonna do the break-in by the end of this month...and I'm excited. I used to drove CX5 when I travelled, classic, Japan made and simple looks. but I rather chose CX50 S Premium cuz i do really like modern agressive the looks and made in USA...
CX 50 anytime. Drive is smooth, steering wheel is so responsive, power and control. CX 50 beat Tuscon in every way. Just got mine gt turbo and I m loving it❤
The machine gray is so much better than the polymetal that you see everywhere. I’m so glad I found a machine gray model although I had to have it delivered from the west coast to get it. Worth it.
I just tried them both. That’s relative. The cx5 feels really small. From width to how high you sit on the seat, it was an uncomfortable drive. Felt like driving a Prius or some eco-friendly cramped vehicle. The CX50 was far more comfortable.
@@Takemura76 I agree. I was going to buy the CX-5 at first but then I drove the CX-50 and fell in love with it. The CX-50 feels more like an SUV then a tiny car like the CX-5, but then again I am use to driving more stiffer suspension comming from a Jeep owner lol.
Did the same thing. Went in wanting a CX-5. Left with a CX-50. Personally I think it’s a much more enjoyable drive. Both are good cars but the CX-50 was my preference.

Thank you!!! I knew something was off lol. Next Mazda I review I will shout you out for letting me know!
True… most vehicles have it, it’s just that for some the button is pronounced so they know to push it….

That's the car I want, but that stupid sunroof is a deal-killer. Just put in a Forester sunroof. Why all that glass that doesn't open?
Well, at least it opens a little bit rather than just a fixed piece of glass
Got my 50 from liberty mazda
No way really! Love to hear it. Hope everything is going well

Great question I have a Honda and I can't see my tire pressure and it drives me nuts!
Yes it’s in information and vehicle maintenance details
What would you recommend? Tuscon or CX-50?
I have not driven a Tuscon so I can't personally recommend it. If I do get my hands on one soon I will be sure to tag you in the video

I really wish Mazda would work on developing their center stack, I think its lacking compared to the major american brands.
I hate that manufacturer skips electric passenger seats. Wont buy a car that comes like that.
The sad thing is that's 90% of them. The higher trims do have power seats for the passenger tho
Is this the polymetal gray metallic?
If I'm not mistaken it's the machine gray matalllic. The polymetal has a blue tint to it

That seatbelt chime is annoying af
how is the bottom part easy to repair when its part of the bumper?
Lay off the Red Bull Pal !

The downside of all mazda cars are those 2 things: key fob cheap and ugly, and the lack of remote start.
Remote start can be done via phone app
Who cares what the key fob looks like when you have keyless entry and start....you don't even get the fob out of your pocket.
@@cesarv2564Should we pay for that feature?
@@SLYDITIt has remote start, but it's via app and behind a paywall after a year.
Not mid-size
Not even the best small mazda suv. The CX-5 is better. Don’t believe me? Drive them both.
