- I hear a lot of people wondering wether the exercises they are doing in vision therapy are right for strabismus or lazy eye. They wonder if they are wasting their money or if they should just be patient and trust the doctor.
In this series, I'm going to explore some of the fundamental exercises that every person with strabismus or lazy eye should do at some point in their therapy process. This is, of course, just my opinion and your doctor knows much better than me so listen to them! But if you see something that sparks your interest, it never hurts to bring it up at your next appointment.

Your videos are truly a blessing. Thank you for taking time to help others.
Thank you!
Hown often and for how long each time?
Your eye is perfect 😊
I have had two eye surgeries. Eye stretches were part of my vision therapy and were very painful at first. It took a good year or so for the pain to go away. Very worthwhile exercise!
I'm glad you agree! They are so important...and a little boring. All the best ones are.
First like from India love your videos madam ❤
Hello!
@@strabismustostereopsis7799 Hii Madam
Can you please suggest me the name of the best hospital for intermittent squint surgery,i have it since birth i am 39 right now I had surgery in my left eye
Hi. I am from Europe. Also did some Visual training in Denmark to some really good result but still developing because my microstrabism gives is also still bugging me a bit. And watching your video run is funny because I did something similar yesterday…while walking in the street. I just looked at nice houses and did a bit of a sidewalk to keep my focus on them and saw the plasticity or when cars moved by I followed their speed with my eyes passing me by and finally on the train station I focused on the heads and bodies of different people walking by and I had this instant 3D effect. It felt so cool.
That is amazing! I love that just pausing and slowing things down allows your brain to figure out the magic of stereo!
Explain something to me because i am very confused here - if you still have strabismus, what value are you offering through a consultation if people are coming to you to correct it? good video.
Sometimes, I ask myself the same question. My strabismus has improved greatly and I have a lot of resources and connections to help others on their journey. I also offer moral support for parents and patients as they struggle through the difficult aspects of having strabismus.
I have exotropia my whole life and now that I am retired (60) I am interested in getting my eye realigned for it will not interfere with my career. I have done eye exercises when I was a child, and strangely I can choose which eye I am using. but to use both eye I have to focus on it. My question is I want to see about surgery, but I have no idea when to start, like what kind of optometrist am I looking for? Is there a website to find one close to where I live? Can you recommend my next move?
I would love to help you with all of those things! You can book a call over zoom and I will find a great office for you in your area and help you get started on the path. app.acuityscheduling.com/schedule.php?owner=24182829
Maybe you can do something about random dot stereograms? I can already see some easy to intermediate magic eye pictures but struggle with some more difficult ones but with random dot stereograms it is much much more difficult. The shapes are still crude and I barely visualize them but I keep going. Do you think it will beneficial to keep training on them?
I try them every few months, just to see, but I haven't ever been able to see one. I will keep working and I hope that one day it clicks!
When I do the pencil exercise my partner says my eye with strabismus doesnt move. I had it for over 25 years. Do you think I should persist? Many thanks
Yours may be a more severe case, I would look into in-office vision therapy.
How far do you have to stretch your eyes? Is it supposed to hurt? Is it ok if you see double? My eyes cross especially at the sides
You don't want to feel pain, but you want to feel a nice stretch.
