I first started seeing double vision back in November of 2022 but it happened twice that month only for about 20 seconds and then in May of 2023 that's when it went full time and after 2022 of November it was getting worse, like 4 times in December but it only lasted about 20 or 30 seconds during November of 2022 till May of 2023. Would vision therapy help me more than getting surgery since it's been about a year now that I see double vision ( side by side) full time. I have an appointment on June 4th with the Eye surgeon and will have the surgery probably the 1st or 2nd week of July

Great accurate summary except for the large angle. The angle amount has little to do with what caused the turn in the first place. It is just the type of adaptation.

Hi there! I remember meeting you in Toronto! I agree that is the case, especially with pre-surgical strab patients. Once they've had a few surgeries, it seems like those large angles are much more difficult to tame with VT alone...but definitely not impossible.

Did you wear prisms at all during your journey of vision therapy?

I have struggled with a lazy eye my entire life, and when i was a kid they tried patching but i was stubborn and hated it so i didn't listen and wear the patch, i got surgery on the lazy eye and got it aligned when i was 10, the vision in the bad eye never got better but it was aligned enough. Now i am 26, and the last 5 yesrs ive noticed the turn increasing and feel like its getting worse. It's so bad that i dont have nearly any photos of me, especially none within the last several years, i dont let anyone take my photo and i hate my ID because i hate seeing the lazy eye and am so insecure about it. Is it even possible to improve it at this point?
