    The one thing that I have noticed about his trimmer nobody actually shows the battery fully charged at the beginning and then when they're done using the trimmer edger to look how much power was used while trimming and edging just a thought for another video thank you

    I have this same tool, and my trimmer line keeps releasing more length to the point where I've got more than a foot of trimmer line flailing uselessly around within about 20 seconds of starting to use it. Then I have to turn it off, remove the battery, and shove the line back into the casing to a useable length so that I can get another 10-20 seconds of operable use before it releases all the extra line again. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

    • @DeanoOutDoors
      @DeanoOutDoors  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The only thing I can think of is you might be releasing the trigger often. Every time you release the trigger it feeds more line out. I like to keep a small amount of pressure on the trigger allowing the trimmer to run very slow while I’m locating to another area, otherwise it’ll feed out too much line. If that’s not the case, try respooling the entire cartridge.

      I’m sure you figured it out by now but for anyone in the future with this problem, it’s the automatic feed feature that ryobi has causing this. You need to open it up and put the string in one of the grooves to keep it from automatically pulling more

    • @DeanoOutDoors

      Try removing the spool and check to see if the line got pinched inside. That usually fixes the problem.

    • @DeanoOutDoors
      @DeanoOutDoors  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I had read that some of the trimmers need to be slightly running to pivot the head. In my case, it doesn’t. I just press the pedal and it flips position.

      Yep, there should be a release that you press with your foot. It’ll flip into an edger.

    Hi, I'm on the market for one of these and because I already own other 18v Ryobi tools was looking at this model... It's been 2 years since your excellent review so can you give me your long term opinion owning this tool, it would be greatly appreciated... Thanks in advance, Dan

    • @DeanoOutDoors
      @DeanoOutDoors  หลายเดือนก่อน

      The trimmer is still running strong. Overall it’s a great tool. There’s just two things I dislike about the it. One, I don’t like how’s the string advances when you let off the trigger, it seems like it releases too much length at a time therefore cutting off about an inch of waist when you start it back up. The second thing, it could use a little more power if your trimming in thick heavy weeds. It’s not really meant for that, but I like to trim the ditch line now and then to keep it looking nice. Otherwise, I’ve been enjoying it, especially for edging. Thanks for watching!

    Does this actually take different attachments, or did you confuse it with the attachment-capable P20110? The P2003 edger seems to use the same top half, minus the low/high switch, though I haven't seen the lower half offered separately. There likely wouldn't be much cost savings, since the handle doesn't contain the motor.

    • @DeanoOutDoors

      Great question, this trimmer can accommodate either size depending on your preference. Both round and twisted lines are recommended.

    TIM from Canada people at Ryobi.. or anyone that is selling string trimmers in a box.. there is no reason why these cannot be put together at your factory and shipped out as one piece. You are already making the boxes to put these weed eaters in. There is no reason why they cannot be assembled at your plant and sent out as one piece…. this gos for anything shipped in a box there is no reason why I cannot be assembled at your plant. It is already in two pieces ship. It has two pieces, but have it put together…
