I've always liked the way beta builds look because of the lack of block variety ironically. It makes building feel more creative and I like the simplicity. I may start making beta videos after seeing this. Very nice builds!
Been seeing a lot of Beta 1.7.3 world tours on TH-cam recently, I'm glad that my favorite version of the game is finally getting more recognition. Thank you!
I really relate to what you said about the overwhelming amount of block options in newer versions of the game, as compared to what blocks existed in Beta 1.7.3. It helps me a lot just focus on the build itself rather than what to build it out of in 1.7.3
Glad to see an update! I am here for the city idea, I want to see this pan out especially with your interest in the train stops along the way, very cool. Also the green houses look great!
I was super unsure about the greenhouses so it's good to get some positive feedback on that lol. I've wanted to build them ever since I saw Goodtimeswithscar build greenhouses years ago.
I’m a huge fan of your architecture! As for an idea on what to build next i think an airship dock that weaves its way up and through the mountain next to the green houses would look cool
Hey thanks for the compliment! I appreciate the feedback too. I've actually started working on getting materials to build up a city area next so we will see how something that big goes lol.
Me and some other guys talked about it a little but I'm starting a new job and they got busy too so I'm not sure if now is the time for anything public. Moderating something like that seems hectic at the moment. I really would like to though so I might revisit the idea soon.
What microphone did you use for this video? Would also like to say your world is very inspiring, sitting in bed at 4am thinking about some changes to do on my world, but I got work tomorrow haha
Thanks for the kind words! The microphone is a Sterling ST51 condenser mic with a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 interface. I used to play music and I dabbled in recording so I've had this microphone for quite awhile. I was recording at like 2AM while my GF was asleep so I was talking very quietly and close to it and had to use a noise suppression filter because I'm set up right by this noisy pipe right now lol. Next place we move to I plan on getting a proper set up with a mic arm and pop filter.
Yeah the last block is great you should check him out. Real Jim Jam posts a lot of gameplay videos without commentary that are nice to watch. One video I watched that inspired me to build more was this one th-cam.com/video/TpOdtatIZ3c/w-d-xo.html but I don't think the guy has made many more.
Like why this version? It's the last version before they added the hunger bar and sprint and changed the lighting system, world generation, and a bunch of other stuff. Sort of the last version that still feels like "old" minecraft.
@@GainsHimself I feel like the new generation is pretty ass. I like some newer versions but caves and cliffs has really put me off the newest versions. 1.16 was still p fun. I feel like 1.12 or 1.8 might be a pretty good middle ground

Ty! Would love to see more people start making beta builds. Really build up this community with cool diverse content.
@@JPepperL would love to see the beta community get big
I wish I knew about that fence post wheat trick when i built the wheat fields. Can't believe 11 years of not knowing lol
Yeah I didn't know until BeemsMegee from reddit told me. I can't believe I never knew it either lol
I learned when I watched Etho's old LP season 2 video where he builds a wheat farm in his cave base

Me too. It's great to see it making a comeback.

Yeah exactly. It makes it so much easier to actually get the building done in early versions.

Your beta video tours are awesome. They are inspiring in some way
Ideas:
catapults ( non functional for show)
tanks
canons
a market
Honestly a nether room/area would be a cool idea like have a mob head centered around the portal like a ghost or something
You should make a beta 1.7.3 minecraft server, I would definitely join

Awesome world dude!
Ay coming from the legend himself lol. Thanks man!

Nice viedo, I'm waiting for another
I love The builds
cool video, waiting for more ;-)
Nice work mate!
ngl the original mic sounded way better for the video's setting
Yeah it definitely fits the vibe better lol. Plus I wasn't talking quietly cause it wasn't 2 AM.
Idea: Play modern Minecraft but restrict yourself to only use blocks present in Beta. 😅
That inventory clutter and sprint bar though :(
