Paul is like the square, geeky kid who walks onto the playground, gets his books knocked out from his grasp, knapsack and lunch tossed into the parking lot... some taunting and then he goes full-on Kung Fu Hong Kong Phooey and beats the crap out of 20 guys in 4 minutes.
This video makes you feel refreshed... In the way you study music, know the history of every style of music, the evolution of the instruments, nevertheless, it's refreshing me.
The way the drummer plays reminds me a lot of Tony Royster Jr.'s video back when he was like 12. On the red kit... - I don't know if the techniques used came from someone before them even, but yea, very similar.
Anyone else getting Bucket Head vibes from this track ? The main repeating low heavy riff and the beginning of Paul’s solo sound very buckethead-ish to me. Buckethead took lessons from Paul in the 80s so they are aware of each other and Paul’s mentioned he’s a buckethead fan and listened and kept up with his former students music. In fact there styles are so similar along with there physical attributes joke rumors were started about Paul Gilbert being Buckethead under the mask. This specific track to me has a particularly Buckethead flavor to it... I would love to see Buckethead at G3
This was pretty tight jam, but guitar thing on the"E" thing aint going to happen.. but you will probably score a ton of views from it, so maybe you might gain so popularity
This was my introduction to Marco.
Then the Aristocats.
Then Marco and Guthrie on Steven Wilson’s “Raven who wouldn’t sing”.
Enthralling.
one of the best drummer i ever seen in and everyway

It's really amazing this riff!

Paul's face, as he plays in the beginning, proves evolution to be true.

Nadie va decir que el bajista es cojonudo también? jajaja musicazos ....da gusto

Bill Goldberg new music entrance
On a Gibson!
It’s an Ibanez
Amazing shit , lay the Ibanez Paul
Tamer anwar He's playing a pre lawsuit Ibanez copy of a Gibson, actually. He collects them. So you are seeing and hearing a Ibanez here.
Mannnnn whyyyy.. this dude could show the beauty of any guitar The way it shines.. Without the need of imitation of a another authentic brand
But thanks for the info
Paul really is one if not the best guitarist I've heard .. He's #2 on my list under Buckethead.
I know it's subjective, but Paul is *under* buckethead? You know paul was his teacher right?
Lol, what a smoke
seeing Paul with a les Paul is weird but a good thing....
It not a real Les Paul. It's an Ibanez knockoff.
The tone out of that Les Paul with the Laney really is superior to that of the ibanez IMO.
That Les Paul is an Ibanez....they got sued by Gibson for it and those are called "law suit" guitars....
James Graham ahh so it is. like their "flying v" law suit guits. im impressed with the les paul non the less.
craig7810 its all in the scale length, pickups and tone settings. When he uses the ibanez (25.5" scale) he usually sticks to single coils.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA
Why was this recorded on a space station?... Too out of this world to be played on Earth?...

Main riff in 6/8?
I hope this
@@deivisignacio2173 You hope it's 6/8? Are you trying to learn the guitar part? Just asking.
7/8
@@lukealexander6680 Correct.
Did you know he teached Buckethead to play the guitar (Paul was his teacher, i don't know how to say, i'm argentinian xD)
Go check out Guthrie Govan....
Fuck. "Daumen" number 665.... 😒

great english, but teached should be "taught" instead, but great effort otherwise
English is not his first language and you didn't realize until you corrected him how'd that make you felt ?
