I know there are other guys out there that can play this song, and kudos to them for being able to do that, but as the composer, Paul just owns this song backwards and forwards. I never get tired of watching all the things he does in this song.
@@Sniperfire24 if you make the tiniest mistake it's heard. Also with distortion it's easier to make notes sound since everything is compressed. With a dynamic sound - if some of you're notes are play slightly more softly it'll sound inconsistent
@@4572dk I agree on the consistency aspect, but the compression is probably why playing on high gain is harder because small mistakes are more audible. I can play something on a clean settings and then when i turn on the distortion, strings will be ringing out, so I have to mute differently(on a fast metal riff for example)

It's more difficult. There is no bass or drumming to hide your mistakes.
