Wonderful show. But the helicopter makes an infernal noise !! and shake !!
Glad you liked it. Yes, it is noisy - I greatly reduced the volume on the video track. The shake I reduced by 1) my camcorder has an optical lens stabilization which helps a lot, but 2) I also applied a stabilization with my video editor which took out the remaining shakes. 😊👍

No doors ! - i'd lose the GoPro for sure. Were in the English Lake District and used to stunning scenes - but this steals it. Simply stunning and i'm looking at those waterfalls wondering how can there be so much water cascading down them? Our Lakes are rained on every other day, yet our falls, high as they are, are not as loaded as these in your film!

The scenery in Kauai is incredible! The mountains and my favourite the waterfalls😊. That canyon flyover blew my mind 😯. This flight must have been exhilarating for you, your wife looked like she having the time of her life 👍🏻 I’d love to do something similar one day!
Hi Jeremy! Yep, the ride was a blast. My wife originally was going to ride with her door on, but chose to also have it off once the pilot told her most people regret not having the door off. I was fortunate with the weather as well. This is probably my favorite video of all. My camcorder has an optical lens stabilizer, but even then the original was still shaky due to the rotors. My editing software stabilization did the rest and I was very happy with it. I never got tired of re-watching it as I was editing the video. The ride was pricy, but neither of us regret paying for it. I just consider it as travel cost. Take care my friend! 😀👍

This one is a real stunner, I would not like to have paid for the hour helicopter ride but there is so much good footage here, you could suffer it. The multi tiered waterfalls were fascinating, disappear into the jungle and poped back out elsewhere. Great stuff Jim. 👀👍

Hello there! Glad you enjoyed my Kauai doors-off helicopter video. We flew with Mauna Loa Helicopters, on Dec 31 at 1:30PM for a 60-min flight. I chose that time of day, as the Napali coast would be no longer all shaded (as it would be in the morning). I like sun, although more serious photographers don't because it lends to higher contrast. I also read that clouds and rain can roll in mid afternoon. I saw posts wehere 10:30 AM was also good - recognizing the Napali coast would be more shaded.
