Bud light market cap has lost $30b. To put that in perspective the Brexit divorce settlement was £39b to be paid over multiple years, and that's for a country, the 5th/6th biggest economy in the world. One company has wiped almost as much value off their share price in 2 months. This will go down as one of the biggest blunders in the history of business.
Wouldn't sales be a better indicator of their success or failure? The stock price fluctuates a lot anyway and it does so quicker than quarterly reports will tell you sales figures.
I'm happy for Bud to be taught a lesson but if market cap is the metric I would have thought that could bounce back.

Corporations are between a rock and a hard place, quite literally speaking. Blackrock invented the ESG score and ensured that corporations strive to maintain a high score. When Bud light tried to please everyone following the boycott, they pleased no one causing the trans community kick up a fuss, causing the Bud light to lose its perfect score. Corporations now have to decide whether or not they want a high ESG score or keep their customers happy.
That's all well & good but by fawning over the trans community they ard managing to piss off the wider population, they should remember that the trans population is less than 1% worldwide.

Last year, Dixons pharmacy in Scotland was draped in flags and other slogans, and staff were saying to customers happy pride month. I haven't been back their since as I don't want to be propagandised when Im just nipping in for a few seconds buying hair conditioner and panadol. The flattery and over familiarity of the staff was nauseating.
