    She's been called crazy because she got angry about injustices... way ahead of her time...the church abuse, the Magdalene laundries, women seen as unfit for priesthood to name a few...I am not convinced that someone who sees so clearly and so compassionately needs medication or labelling...maybe only to try to lessen her own suffering over injustice and cruelty toward herself and others..Sinead is wonderful and I hate to think of her suffering; she is a natural healer and wants people to be free

      no,shes called crazy because of her completely unstable behaviour due to bipolar disorder,she admitted the diagnosis yrs ago.Crazy is a derogatory term for mental illness she has through no fault of her own.I also have suffered greatly with mental illness for 30 yrs and would agree I was crazy for much of that time, in that I was a danger to myself but nobody else.

    I love Sinead because, not only is she an extremely gifted talent, she's an absolutely authentic, no bullshit artist that's stayed true to herself in a completely disingenuous, absolute bullshit industry. Most artists wouldn't have called Graham Norton on his bullshit. They'd have politely looked at the cover of that empty CD case and let it go on the hopes for further bookings on the show. Not Sinead, she ripped into that sucker as if ripping the pope's picture decades ago and called out his bullshit. I love her for that. It's not Sinead that's "crazy," it's the industry she's working in. It's "crazy" to say you bought a CD when you didn't buy it. It's "crazy" to ask someone about their mental health when they've appeared on your show, per your invite, to perform and promote their CD. That shit is what's crazy. Sinead kicks ass in this Ringling Bros. circus of a world and takes no prisoners.

    I've always felt that as soon as Sinead walked on to any stage for an interview she was set up from the start. In British and Irish culture when you're asked "are you ok?" There's only one correct answer which is "yes I'm fine" anything else and you're deemed weird or inappropriate. Sinead would give you the god damn honest truth to whatever you ask her and I think the media knew this and loved to portray her as mentally unwell in any social standing. You were an absolute goddess and a great proponent of "it's ok to not be ok" Everyone should speak their truth no matter how others may perceive it. Love always xxx

      As a Gemini, being asked, "How are you and so forth," is deeply troubling. Small talk, being asked such questions from someone who is insincere, toxic, nosey, pestering, doesn't go well with a Gemini. Either you give two shits or don't bother asking at all for your own personal sick gains.

    • @Padraigp
      @Padraigp 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      He wasnt condescending he asked her how are you in a concerned way because she has literally been off the rails ... if you go off the rails and do stuff like try to kill yourself people will forever want to know how you are. Nobody is condescending to ask you how you are. If you kept getting cancer and somone asks how are you because they know youve not been well thats not condescending and its very honest. To pretend like nothing is wrong and theres nothing to ask about would be pretty bloody weird like ooh dont mention her health. Dont ask the normal question everyone asks everyone when they meet anyone at any time of day are night whether they know them or not? That would be weird. How are you is a perfectly normala thing to say to someone. Its her who made it weird and awkward because shes self conscious about it and id guess its you whos self conscious about it that makes you think theres something condescending in it. Literally everyone says how are to everyone as the first thing they say to a person in ireland. How are you. Totally normal. Its only because you are awkward about it that its awkward. She could have just said im excited to be here ..im nervous about my new album...im unconfrotable in this get up ive poured myself into....or just im grand graham how are you. Like a normal person would😂

    • @kevtb874
      @kevtb874 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +10

      She essentially answered saying 'how do I answer that? By saying I'm fine? I'm ok? When I'm not? Not a large part of the time? That would be a lie wouldn't it?'
      It's small talk stuff. Hard to answer truthfully and honestly when people only want to hear that you are ok. Not everyone has the time or headspace for other people's problems and crisis and worries and stresses. And I get it.
      It's just that that question comes off as probing or insincere for people who don't wish to hide it. And to ask it in front of cameras and a live audience must magnify that feeling.

    It's called being a human being and having an actual personality, that is not constantly being conformed by media and fans. She just acts like herself. Real, awkward, passionate, nervous, chatty, funny, strange..that's just part of who she is, accept her or don't, she clearly doesn't care. She must be "crazy" for not caring about how every damn person sees her. Jeeze

    Sinead wasn't crazy or crazed. She was honest living in a world that doesn't know how to handle the truth. I used to watch and enjoy the Graham Norton show but here I sense awkward humour. He can't handle her honesty and being called out as he quickly gets rid of her by telling to go and sing. His tone was far from neutral and then the fake cd...how do you respond to that seemingly caring question, i mean where do you begin? She just went on the show fine, open, in good faith just being herself and he treats her like she is ill. I'm not surprised she is dead.

    • @manchesterblue2007
      @manchesterblue2007 8 ปีที่แล้ว +30

      tornoutlaw
      sure...
      Sinead was an outspoken critic of abuse in the catholic church long before it became common knowledge. The 'establishment' got VERY nervous when people made noise about institutionalised abuse because they knew it extended much further than within the confines of that particular religion. Its fair to say that the media suppressed people like Sinead because they knew the extent of the problem. After the floodgates opened in the church, there was no way to stop the tidal wave of accusation and they dropped the people (politicians, police, the entertainment industry and others) like a hot potato and turned on them because of public opinion.
      Sinead and people like her opened the way for others to tell their stories and they did it with much risk of harm to their reputation...if they hadnt, the whole dirty secret would still be something that victims would be put at risk for by speaking out

    • @tornoutlaw
      @tornoutlaw 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5
