Lol JT's face killed me when he was judging Dionysus Dance Practice, not tryna hate but your friend does NOT know what he is saying, that was a 10/10 for sure if not more. I disagree with you, I thought that the Dionysus practice did look like a practice, when you compare the energy to the live performances. And I thought that the second "practice" which was a rebuttal to some terrible camera work one time that made them look bad, was not the best choice to show the dance friend. totally, I 100% agree with you. I think what maybe also had an impact were the camera angels: In dionisos the camera was really far away and you couldn't see their faces and expressions. I can't quite understand what he says cuz honestly the energy-level in the dance practice was extremely high (maybe just my opinion🤷🏻♀️)

Maybe your friend doesn't know who Dionysus is, that's why he failed to understand the concept. BTS is very good at interpreting their lyrics into dance. I like to see him dance to Fake Love or DNA or Dionysus.
African dancers practice a lot too. Just the dance styles would be different so getting it down will take a while maybe. But in the end I'm sure he saw how talented they r.I haven't watched this yet. Well you can say from a dance routine point of view its a 7. But we have to remember that its not just a dance routine. Its a performance. They have to sing too.
When u try dancing and singing at the same time u'll understand , and when u know that dance is not just about power, when a lyrics is calm and chilling and u dance to it with a too powerful way u gonna look like a begginer , feeling the song is more important than just empressing ppl
the thing about bts is they stay true to the reason for the dance. dionysus is about being drunk (on art) but there are references to literally taking alcohol shots. hence, the drunk chaos. ;) it's gorgeous. the next video was a shot to the camera directors in korean shows - they really came out with a vid to show how to take good camera angles for dance. there are so many great dance practice videos of bts. :)
Always watch things in context. The second video was made as a f-u to a awards show that screwed up the entire filming of that performance so BigHit recorded this with "Good Camera" as a this is how its done. Second, both performances are for completely different genre's and the theme of the performances are different. Every performer knows you perform according to he piece you are dancing too. BTS rarely halfs anything especially the filmed dance practices. I wish you would explain this to him....but should you have too?? That Dyonisis is no 7....fan or no! It's not being toxic dear. It's just like you said a difference of opinion. We're just saying, we also don't agree with his opinions. BTS dance are highly interpretative based on concept, song, lyrics to tell one cohesive story, even if the beat may sometimes throw you off ( which is intentionally done) and they never disappoint! Everything they do is there for a reason. That's what makes Bangtan truly special.

not trying to be rude, but your friend was not correct at all about Dionysus. The dance was perfect as it fits the lyrics and that’s what matters the most, the choreography needs to go well with the song and lyrics or else it won’t make sense, remember bts are artists and a band and not just dancers. Hoseok and Jimin have a lot of experience and they know exactly what they are doing (so do the rest of the boys but I’m mentioning those two since they have danced for most of their life).
this dionysus dance practice is close to 6 minutes long with several major prop changes/uses which requires ridiculous coordination and focus. the performance is also a VOCAL one with dance, they are not just a dance group. based on your friend’s dance videos (great street style btw), none of which are more than a couple of minutes long and are not large group choreo that needs to facilitate vocal performance, i think he may be forgetting to consider those factors i mentioned. i don’t know if he has experience in those situations, i’m just making assumptions on the work he chose to upload, people tend to showcase their best work online. hope you do more dance videos, especially the older ones, including the sbs one 😊
I Kind of get his point about the energy levels which is why he mentioned one is a practice and the other a performance. Maybe for better context, you guys can show the practice video then the performance for the video.
Hmmmm...I'm not sure what it would take to impress your friend. If he thinks these practices and performances are just "nice", maybe BTS just isn't for him? I agree with dance friend, when you compare the Dionysus practice vs live, the energy is not the same. They go all out in the live! Plus I don't think you can see them really well in that practice, it is mostly so far away. Also I wish they would have shown him some different practices (Dope, Fire, Not Toda etc) instead of that old Camera rebuttal video. But thank you!
You should show him DNA, Blood Sweat and Tears, Idol, Spring Day, and ON dance practices. I feel like these ones show more dancing, although it isn't always about the dancing. You have to know the meaning of the song to know that the dance ties perfectly to it. In my opinion, the ones that you showed him should have been described before he watched them. Dionysus doesn't have a lot of dancing for a reason. That is the way it was choreographed and the way it should be. Dionysus is absolutely AMAZING and I do NOT mean this in a hurtful way, but he should have been told what they meant and not judged them without looking at the reason behind the song. And both of the videos you showed him have meaning! Like always! The second one especially. You can't just base what you think of it before knowing what it is about. I was super exited to watch this video but when I watched it and saw the way he was reacting, I was disappointed. I don't mean this in a hurtful way AT ALL! I LOVE your videos and I love your guy's reactions! I just feel as though he should have been told what the songs meant beforehand. You should show him some other dance practices, that will show their dancing skills too. And explain things to him about them, if needed. Love you guys!!

I don't know what you showed him before ..or how much information he had about bts.... He need to know that there are also not just dancer but singer/rapper...so they dance While singing (so choreography are made also in way they can at max control Thiers breath and voice )...the creativity of choreography also are made regarding the concept and meaning of the song. ..my point is he need to have idea about genre and context of each performance and song to be able to understand more ..choice of choreography
., if in future he make reaction I suggest you guys to give idea about meaning of song and to show him some solo dance from our main dancer jhop jimin you guys tell him that :
-jhop was stress dancer and hip hop style of dance (won several national competition) before joining bts
-jimin before who was one of top dancer in busan school art in modern contemporary dance ..>black belt in taekwondo
So he also use his experience in martial art in dance

not trying to be rude, but your friend was not correct at all about Dionysus. The dance was perfect as it fits the lyrics and that’s what matters the most, the choreography needs to go well with the song and lyrics or else it won’t make sense, remember bts are artists and a band and not just dancers. Hoseok and Jimin have a lot of experience and they know exactly what they are doing (so do the rest of the boys but I’m mentioning those two since they have danced for most of their life).

I've never seen the mashup of Dionysus and No before-- very interesting
this dionysus dance practice is close to 6 minutes long with several major prop changes/uses which requires ridiculous coordination and focus. the performance is also a VOCAL one with dance, they are not just a dance group. based on your friend’s dance videos (great street style btw), none of which are more than a couple of minutes long and are not large group choreo that needs to facilitate vocal performance, i think he may be forgetting to consider those factors i mentioned. i don’t know if he has experience in those situations, i’m just making assumptions on the work he chose to upload, people tend to showcase their best work online. hope you do more dance videos, especially the older ones, including the sbs one 😊

I Kind of get his point about the energy levels which is why he mentioned one is a practice and the other a performance. Maybe for better context, you guys can show the practice video then the performance for the video.
Hmmmm...I'm not sure what it would take to impress your friend. If he thinks these practices and performances are just "nice", maybe BTS just isn't for him? I don't intend to criticize him, we all have different tastes. I just felt kind of sad with his responses - I mean, he is a friend and you want him to enjoy BTS as much as you do. I agree with dance friend, when you compare the Dionysus practice vs live, the energy is not the same. They go all out in the live! Plus I don't think you can see them really well in that practice, it is mostly so far away. Also I wish they would have shown him some different practices (Dope, Fire, Not Toda etc) instead of that old Camera rebuttal video. But thank you!

You should show him DNA, Blood Sweat and Tears, Idol, Spring Day, and ON dance practices. I feel like these ones show more dancing, although it isn't always about the dancing. You have to know the meaning of the song to know that the dance ties perfectly to it. In my opinion, the ones that you showed him should have been described before he watched them. Dionysus doesn't have a lot of dancing for a reason. That is the way it was choreographed and the way it should be. Dionysus is absolutely AMAZING and I do NOT mean this in a hurtful way, but he should have been told what they meant and not judged them without looking at the reason behind the song. And both of the videos you showed him have meaning! Like always! The second one especially. You can't just base what you think of it before knowing what it is about. I was super exited to watch this video but when I watched it and saw the way he was reacting, I was disappointed. I don't mean this in a hurtful way AT ALL! I LOVE your videos and I love your guy's reactions! I just feel as though he should have been told what the songs meant beforehand. You should show him some other dance practices, that will show their dancing skills too. And explain things to him about them, if needed. Love you guys!!

I m army since 6 years ...the guy didn't do anything or said Thiers are bad he just said his honest pov (better then faking ) ...you need to know yes bts are talented and legend right know in music industry....
