Welcome to the SteveDab317 reaction channel. While here you will find an assortment of reaction videos, many of which are by viewer request. Why? Because I absolutely love the opportunity to interact with people from all over the world and from all walks of life. Among the assortment of reaction videos, the majority will be music reaction videos. Music has always been a significant part of my life; In an instant it can take me to a familiar place or a place not yet known. I tend to have a preference for music that is intellectual, emotional or a combination of both. As far as genres, I listen to it all. Hi there. I hope you don’t mind constructive feedback. I like the content you’re watching but please could you edit your videos so viewers don’t have to watch your ads on top of their own ads if not on YT Premium? Even for those on Premium, one of the reasons they pay is so they wouldn’t have to watch ads. I’d be happy to subscribe except for that feature. Thank you. Hope you keep reacting to BTS. 😁

Hey! I don't mind at all. That is an EXTREMELY valid point. Not sure if you've heard me mention it in my other videos, but I usually would let the ads play so that the original content creator would benefit from it. However, I have honestly never considered what you mentioned above. Especially in reference to people who have Premium so they can avoid the ads. I'm going to give it a bit of thought, but I'm almost 100% certain I am going to stop doing that for the reasons you mentioned.
Thank you for taking the time to help make my channel better. Words can't describe how appreciative I am right now 😎

@Steve Dab 317 If your recording then its easier to just edit out the ads after your done filming,. Just make sure when an add comes up you dont talk, so when you go back later you can edit it out for your final video and we wont miss out any of your important words. That way the artist gets the view count since that’s important to you but your viewers wont get triple ads when they watch ads to help you. 😁 thats a win win.

These are dance breaks, which mostly are for live performances or award shows. It's not necessarily the same as what you'll see in the MV's, as they vary the dance routines to fit the stages and events. The one you said was "Lit" was MicDrop. The next with the hooded guys/puppet style was Fake Love and was for either a comeback or award show or both. There is a MV for that also. The one with marching band style is ON - they did several variations on that one for Live Performances. The pandemic hit and they didn't really get to perform it in front of an audience from early 2020 up until just a week or so ago at 4 concerts they held in Los Angeles. The MV (ON - Kinetic Manifesto Come Prima) and the Live at Grand Central Station are both well worth watching. They did use UCLA marching band and a gospel choir for background music and vocals on that one (ON). The last one was an extra dance break for Dynamite that they did for the 2020 Melon Music Awards. Most of their official Music Videos are on Bangtan TV or HYBE channels. Enjoy the journey. It is most definitely worth it. I'm a baby ARMY - just found BTS earlier this year, but I've gone way down the rabbit hole and am rather addicted to them. They exude talent and I just love them.

It's their names on their chests. Although "Suga" wasn't actually Suga... Son Sungdeuk, their main choreographer was filling in for Suga during this practice. :) A lot of these dance breaks were special performances for award shows, so you're not really going to see the exact same breaks in the MVs. The last couple were also missing Suga... he was recovering from shoulder surgery. The last dance break was from Dynamite which was very much an MJ tribute to begin with and this dance break even more so. Taj Jackson, Michael's nephew, thanked BTS for such a great tribute to his uncle and said that MJ would have loved BTS.

Dance breaks aren’t typically part of an official mv, but is an extra that they create during live performances. Because they perform the same song repeatedly, this is a way to offer variety for those performances. Whether that be different themes, dance breaks, or tempos of the song, they are excellent at providing diversity so the audience doesn’t become bored or numb to the stage. Fans always anticipate BTS’ performances, cause we nvr know what we’ll get, but we know it’ll be quality.💜

They give more whole performances and they can sing, dance and preform really well. They can be compared in a way to Michael Jackson /Jackson five and he would have loved this if he still lived. On top of that there is alot of other content. BTS their messages/lyrics are mostly based on arts, psychology, philosophy and social injustice.

Right now everyone wants to collaborate with BTS but they do get a say in who they want to collab with, sometimes they say it during interviews and somehow someway it becomes reality =D Today Suga worked on a track with Juice Wrld's song called Girl of My Dreams and it dropped a few hours ago! It's sooo dope because Suga and RM did a collab with Juice Wrld back in 2019 for a song called All Night before he really took off in his career. Suga is one of the most sought-after producers in South Korea and now internationally as well, he produced many BTS tracks. If you ever want to check out his solo stuff he goes by the name Agust D (Suga spelled backwards and DT for Daegu town the city he was born in)

The bibs are their name tags. They dont use them when they practice by themselves but when they are incorporating the backup dancers and prepping the big picture they film it to review and see ok, is hope’s distance right or is Jin too far to the side, they constantly adjust, even in concert venues today if they are practicing for a venue as some stages are way bigger than others, they will wear the bibs and film so they can review and see if they conver the stage right, are they gonna bump into a backup dancer, is a move not looking right to showcase the singers above the backup dancers etc. They still sue the bibs today. I saw someone say its from back in 2016 when the staff didnt know all their names,.. thats not it. Its a typical easy way to identify the artists, particularly when they wear similar coloured clothes to practice. If they are mostly all wearing black t-shirts and jeans and you see how fast they change formations, its very difficult to look back and see oh thats suga who was not in an optimal placement for the 3nd chorus or the 1st verse. Or for the camera angle when the MV is to be shot, 3 members look too grouped up. Its a visual help to see who is who by name tag. If you watch even larger groups like 17 for example has i think 13 members or more, (originally 17 hence the name) can you imagine the nightmare of figuring out who was off, who was misplaced etc? By the time you figured it out for a take, they’d all be cooled off and not ready for the next take. I think i have seen North American behind the scenes vids of solo or very small groups preparing for concerts and the backup dancers had name tags as it was easier to see the artist if theres just a few. When the artists were the tags its to see them and their placements, if the backups are wearing it, its to see them and identify their placements in the choreography. Hope that makes sense, its so difficult to articulate in texts! Loved your enthusiasm. I dont know if your a bts channel or a music lovers of all kinds Chanel, but I’ll recommend a couple cool artists i came across recently from Asia, one is HU which are Mongolian heavy metal incorporating traditional instruments and throat singing! Its SOO COOL, i recommend wolf totem to start. Then there’s HYDE from japan another heavy metal artist but again, cool sound again and i heard of him from was it 60 minutes did a story on him, or someone did. Can’t remember who but he’s kind of like Japanese Bon Jovi, very famous over there. I am just learning his music. There’s so much talent over there and i have been missing out, i am grateful for the internet giving me access finally! Oh and France has a giant hip hop community, apparently the scene there is actually bigger than USA hip hop scene. Which reminds me another French artist not hip hop but huge is Stromae with his song Papaoutai it great. I recommend reacting to the music video because it tells the story of the lyrics and makes it come all into context, you will love the meaning and message which to me is society becoming detached plastic automatons one family at a time. Anyways just discovered your channel,.. I’ll keep watching thanks.

7:20 To answer your question, Yes absolutely. A lot of big labels in Korea didn't like BTS in the beginning and some still hold grudges over the fact that our boys outsold some of their own groups because the Korean music industry/entertainment industry places a lot of value on the success of a group based on background. BTS were in a small company and many of them came from poor backgrounds so the media in general liked to bully them in an attempt to prevent them from getting bigger. I'm not sure about whether or not some other companies are denying collaborations or if BTS just doesn't have the time, but everyone knows for sure that the big 3 wouldn't allow it (along with a few TV stations and a new year's show that purposely make it difficult for artists from BTS's company to perform on their shows).

They were for promotional purposes, for award shows, concert stages, or for remixes that never got their own MV. The one that you thought the MV was probably super, super dope was for the song "Fake Love" and the dace they performed here was no where near the MV. This dance was for an awards show. It was specifically for the 2018 MAMA awards in Japan. th-cam.com/video/6v8p3FNE9Og/w-d-xo.html Basically, if it is in this compilation and it is epic and huge - it was probably for an awards show.

The dance break where they are on the long table is Dionysus from MAMA 2019. The whole performance is a tour de force and a must watch. The Dynamite dance break was deliberately MJ inspired. There’s no SUGA because he was recovering from shoulder surgery in that. I’m with everyone else, no ads, please. One of the features I’m paying a lot of money for is to avoid them. You’ll enjoy the dance practices which give you a better overall view than the performances because the camera often goes into close up. I think they still sometimes wear their name bibs for camera rehearsals so the cameramen can home in on a specific person or to do a specific effect. Welcome to the rabbit hole. It’s a long way down and there is nooooo bottom.

BTS does choreo for most of their songs and they post the dance practice videos of all of them. I enjoy our reactions..

As far as I know (been into Kpop since 2004), idols do not collab with competitive agencies. They can collab with groups within their own agency, only.
I got into BTS from their dance practices so don’t stress too hard. I think the best way is watching their m/v first, then go back and do lyrical breakdown, after that, find a video about “xxx Explained” (from DKDK TV or Bookish Theories and others, especially for Ugh, Bapsae, Idol, etc.). Army will guide you.

      * Jungkook shining with other 97s on 2016 KBS Song Festival
      * The "battle" with BlockB on 2014 MAMA (at the end they shared one track)
      * A song on a shared American themed performance with VIXX and 2PM on 2015 KBS
      * On the same festival, another, dance-heavy performance with VIXX and GOT7
      * 2015 MAMA with GOT7 (a more proper collab)
      * Jimin on the collab dance performance on 2016 Gayo Daejun

Most of these dance break compilations are for their live performances for the music award shows that usually take place in the last few months or early months of each year like MMA (Melon Music Award), MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Award), GDA (Golden Disk Award), SMA (Seoul Music Award) and a few more that I can recall right now. A lot of artists perform during the award show just like BMA, AMA or Grammy right here in the US. So you won’t really see these dance breaks in their MV.

If you are just finding out about BTS you have a wonderful journey ahead of you. That one were they all went in a ripple was Fake Love, but they also said Lie, I have not seen this myself and I have been watching them for years
The last one was Dynamite, all their choros won't be the same as they freshen them up as they go

  • @annikahallberg4453

As mentioned earlier the white tag with their name on is both from them to see if anyone needs to move so it looks good and that the camera people and those in the control room can see who they are going to focus on stage. They do rehearsals before an award on the stage with everything that is going to be on stage.
Some of this dance breaks are from award shows others from music shows or end of the year performance.
The first one is an SBS music award performance in 2013, the two after that was on music shows, the one with them in white uniforms are an answer on the bad camera work on MBC 2014 end of the year show. The others was from different award shows examples are MMA, MAMA, GDA. You can find their practice on bantangtv or on hybe labels.

In fact most of these dance breaks have nothing to do with the music videos associated to the songs involved in the dance breaks and in some of these the song isn't even from BTS. It was in fact Limp Biskit. Jimin did do a collab with Taemin and it was beautiful but mostly BTS does not do that except for at the end of the year concert. And it was a flower. It's called a baton stick.

Great reaction, I won't repeat what other Army's have already mentioned about it. How about doing the MV to a song followed immediately by the dance practice or vice versa? The MV obviously doesn't show all the choreo as camera angles pan to different faces of the group etc so you miss the dance itself. There are also different versions of an MV, B-sides which are for Army and tend to be great fun. So lots of content.... Enjoying following your journey so sub'd to follow along, looking forward to more! Borahae! 👍

my favorite are the dance practices because you can really see what is going on without all the bells and whistles of a music video. You will soon realize that JHope is the liquid star dancer of the group, he is simply AMAZING! He, along with Jungkook and Jimin make up sub group 3J. They do special difficult routines, just the 3 of them. If you haven't seen them do a very short but VERY amazing short routine to Megan thee Stallion's portion of their recent hit BUTTER you should check that out.... JHope's amazing fluidity is on full display.....he is one of the best dances ever. (along with LaLisa from Blackpink). enjoy!
