Cell was entirely self centered and without any real emotion. He tortured the Z Warriors to draw out Gohan’s true power; he didn’t explicitly take pleasure in the torture like Freeza did. Compared to him, morality wise, Cell is a playful scamp. Kinda similar to Boo in a way, except he has more sentience. To say Cell isn’t a villain is dumb as hell tho. He still very much is one regardless of his demeanor. Hell, a large part of his personality is just Freeza’s reincarnated 22 years before Freeza resurrecting was actually a thing. (GT doesn’t count; he was a husk body in Hell in GT)

It just validates the PHONY "Super Saiyan" of Lord Slug... I know that it wasn't intended to reveal to Pikkon that Goku is a Super Saiyan just yet, but they could've just had him fight as his normal form (seriously, Burter and Jeice NEVER stood a chance against Goku in the canon). For Freeza and King Cold, I think he would've been quite advanced in power at that point that Super Saiyan would STILL not be needed to kick their asses. Cell would've definitely forced that out of him, BUT... Pikkon just ran up and knocked the shit out him! HOW?! WHY?! WHO KILLED PIKKON?! Goku even won against him (after a balanced fight). That makes NO sense. The writing isn't as moronic as Garlic Jr., but it's still poorly executed. I did like that Kaioken came back, since Super Saiyan ruined the need for any other character or move.
