Great Video Dak's. I have Luffy's mother being a Celestial Dragon as my 2nd favorite one and it used to be my number 1. But I think you shined more light on the possiblilty for Luffy's mother being a celestial dragon (Really like the Zoro & Sanjis mom connection Sky & Earth and Luffy being D Celestial Sea). But personally my number 1 is that Luffys mom is the the Amazon Lily Empress that died of Love Sickness. I had that as a theory since before ODa made her reveal. Also as Randy Troy Mentioned that Gloriosa might be Luffy's Grand Mother and Yorki being his other Grand Father. I'm to much of a fan of that theory. Also Luffy would have been around 1-2 years old when Boa Hancock got kidnapped, would be a bit of poetick irony if the reason she got kidnapped was because of Luffy. That Boa's Empress (Luffy's Mom) going to leave Luffy with his fathers Family was the reason she got kidnapped by the Celestial Dragons. Also the reason Boa got her broken heart mended by Luffy would make the whole circel complete. Also Kuma sent Luffy to Amazon Lilly, the reason why is becuase he needed to learn use Haki. But there got to have been better places for Kuma to send him to that he knew about. Especally considering being a man on Amazon Lily is a Death Sentance and he prolly knew that. Becuase Kuma was also a Warlord the same as Hanock so he prolly knew about the island and how strong she was and her Warrior. I doubt Kuma would intentionally give Luffy a death sentance when he knew he was Dragons son and went to Luffy crew to save them from Kizaru. There for Kuma might have learned more about Dragons past and Luffy's mother because as far as we know Kuma was the only one who knew he had a kid. Also I can see them talking about that if they were completly alone and it would be a way for Dragon to vent to Kuma who knew. But even if that was not the case Kuma idolising Dragon and probably wanting to learn about him and his past, could have made him stumble in to the likelyhood that Luffy was part Amazonian. I Doubt Kuma would send Luffy to a death sentance, knowing Boa's strength, I think Luffy might have been able to win vs her, but the odds would be agianst him. Also Kuma had no way in knowing that her devil fruit would not work on Luffy (Unless he knows somethign we don't. about Luffy or Nika). The way Luffy could have beaten boa coudl have been by Growing, hwe Fruit would not work agianst him Giving him and advantage just like enel/eneru, but she is stilla a skilled haki user. But just like Luffy defeated Crocodile and Enel he could have grown in the fight. He is a Copy Monkey/Härm Apa after all and alot of his moves are inspired by his enemies and just like vs Katakuri he could have learned haki in the midst of the fight. But I doubt Kuma bet on that, I think he knew something we dont. Or he just hoped that Boa had left for Marineford already and that Amazon Lilly would be unguarded by strong warriors, but I doubt that.
I just had a wild revelation. What is Fisher tiger in a way is Luffy's Godfather. The only person Luffy's Mom other than Dragon could trust her child to when Fisher Tigers escaped. Dragon could have even been the one to give Fisher tiger his T-shirt when he came back to Fishman Island.
If this theory is correct than Luffy’s connections to Ace and Sabo is beautiful, Because Luffy, who is half noble and half revolutionary, is the glue between a true noble (Sabo) and a true devil child (Ace) and believes in the true good in both of them. Sabo, Ace, and Luffys brotherhood is shown to be a wonderful example that a relationship between a noble and the commeners, is possible.
Before watching i believe luffy's mom is from Amazon Lily. Is still suspicious of why Kuma sent Luffy there. Yes you can say Rayleigh, but i dont know. sus
Until the flashback I still had the Joker of "He's the bosses kid, Imma send him to the isolated island full of women, the perv can go to Ivankov, hehe" But now Im also kinda all in on this theory.
i bet that he sees Dragon interact with (a group of) Kuja warrior(s) and it went positively, and with what he witness in Thriller Bark showing how Luffy made super loyal crew in short amount of time (maybe even mirroring how fast Dragon built the Revolutionary) he's betting that Luffy would be safe and maybe even get stronger there but thats just one of my personal theory for now
What's so nice about theories like these, is that it takes the "Luffys mom" question and turns it into a "Dragons Wife" question. Which is perfect because luffy has never met this person, and therefore cant really be impacted emotionally by her. Only dragon could really feel the emotions about her death. The story needs to be told through him
@@deebo429__ that's a good point. May be why oda says we met Luffy's mom already and she isn't important. But if we ask about dragon's wife , it may be a different answer cause I'm sure she made an impact on dragon... Good observation bro
Theories and Connections Regarding Luffy, Joy Boy, and the World of One Piece 1. Joy Boy and Luffy’s Origin: • Luffy is theorized to be the son of the legendary figure Joy Boy, who may have been sent to the future and found by Dragon. This connection would explain Luffy’s unique lineage and extraordinary potential. • The name “Luffy” could derive from the English word “laugh,” which ties him to the concepts of joy and laughter, further connecting him to Joy Boy. 2. Dragon’s Role and Luffy’s Upbringing: • Dragon, realizing the need to change the world, may have left Luffy to be raised by Garp. This decision could have been influenced by the potential dangers or responsibilities linked to Luffy’s heritage. 3. Imu, Joy Boy, and the Nefertari Lineage: • Imu, a godlike figure, is suggested to have been in a rivalry with Joy Boy. There’s also speculation that Imu may have had a romantic connection with an ancestor of the Nefertari family. If Joy Boy also had ties to this ancestor, it could mean that Luffy, as Joy Boy’s descendant, has royal blood from the Nefertari lineage. • Additionally, it’s hypothesized that Nika, the Sun God, might have fallen in love with a woman from Earth, and Joy Boy could be the offspring of this union, further solidifying Luffy’s connection to this divine heritage. 4. The Gods and the Ancient War: • In the past, gods are believed to have lived on the moon, with Enel considering himself one of these gods, which explains his journey to the moon. • These gods eventually descended to Earth, leading to a war between those who sought peace with humans and those who wished to enslave them. Nika was on the side of humanity, freeing the slaves, but Imu managed to turn the gods into devil fruits through experimentation or maybe somehow Imu had the potential power as being connected with a devilish figure, to rule upon every soul that ate a devil fruit with bad aura. Much like Luffy has a white aura and the elder for example had a black aura. Maybe Imu has power over those kind of users. 5. Joy Boy’s Unique Role and the Nika Fruit: • Joy Boy, being a hybrid of Nika and a human, was the only one compatible with wielding the power of Nika’s devil fruit. This could explain why Luffy, as Joy Boy’s descendant, has the potential to fully utilize the Nika fruit’s powers. • Vegapunk’s research into bloodlines suggests that Luffy’s exceptional spirit and abilities could stem from his ancestry, particularly if he is indeed the son of Joy Boy and a Nefertari ancestor. 6. Imu’s Potential Power and the Nature of Devil Fruits: • There’s a theory that Imu may have power over devil fruit users, potentially able to manipulate the spirit within the fruits to overcome the user, meaning This could also explain the role of the Five Elders in the story. Probably Imu is a demon or ate a demon fruit similar to god sun Nika. One Piece Red film gave us a good introduction about demons exist. 7. The One Piece and Its Significance: • The One Piece might be the key to restoring the devil fruits to their original nature. It’s suggested that Joy Boy stole and reprogrammed it, and that the One Piece requires the presence of Nika (now Luffy) to be fully operational. • When Gol D. Roger said they arrived “too early,” it might have been because Nika had not yet manifested. Roger’s decision to reveal the existence of the One Piece may have been an attempt to set the stage for its discovery by the rightful heir-Luffy.
bro, welcome to One Piece theories. Nearly everyone who claims to have solved a mystery in this series leans heavily on confirmation bias and fan fiction
@@GrapplingHookJones that's false as fuck and shows you don't watch a lot of theory channels almost all base their theories on information we gather as it's released not on what ifs and maybes it's not even a theory at this point if you have no real information to base it on.
@@TheGood_Bro (genuinely, use punctuation. It is easier to understand people when sentences are written properly. I don’t mean this as a petty dig) Your weird semantic stance on this issue is confusing. Your original post claims this video IS a theory, but relies on speculation. But you contradict yourself by undercutting my point by claiming this video is in fact NOT a theory. I also don’t think you understand what confirmation bias is.
@@GrapplingHookJones it's not a dig nor is it my problem your comprehension skills don't go further than an English paper needing to be graded by a professor. It shouldn't be called a theory video it should be "my hopes for the story" because without any concrete evidence to stand on you have nothing
@@TheGood_Bro | I mostly agree with that particular point about “hopes for the story”. I just don’t know why you are so hostile towards this conversation though
What would make this theory even more interesting is if Garling was the one to execute Luffy’s mother, and when both of them eventually meet Garling starts to notice their resemblance towards each other and reveals Luffy’s identity to the world.
there's also the tiger vs the dragon connection with fisher Tiger and monkey d dragon Fisher and Tiger Monster 🐟 🐅 🦖 🤬 💥 🐒 🐉 😈 Monkey D Dragon Devil@@DaksSake
My headcanon is Dragon had two children from two different women: 1. Luffys mother. I want it to be Tritoma (missing or "dead" 3rd empress of Amazon Lily) and; 2. Nico Olivia- I do not believe for a second Dragon brought flowers for Clover. They were for Olivia This makes Luffy and Robin half-siblings. I also think if this ever turned out to be true, Dragon told Robin this news when she spent the 2 years with the RA.
Olvia always made sense to me as Dragons main love, though that's not to say he didn't find someone after she passed. Crocomom could almost even explain Olvia surviving, and no one knowing. Could Tritoma have just died her hair white and become a scholar to supress her love sickness?(just a random thought)
this kinda makes sense because I always thought it was weird how n why Luffy let Robin join, and she basically said im with you guys now. Where every other member Luffy had to ask or beg. So would make sense why Robin was different because there is some deeper connection between them and a history. And how ironic would it be she always thought she was alone with no family when she was with her step brother the entire time
@@tonyb8710 It would make whatt happened at Enies Lobby very interesting where Luffy declares war on the entire world to save Robin without either realizing they are potentially siblings. Could also explain why Dragon was so desparate to find Robin during the time-skip but then Robin just went back to the Strawhats once 3D2Y was up.....maybe because Dragon knew who Robin is with and knew she could be protected with Luffy.
@@mav3622 i like it better then luffy is a celistial dragon and plus Oda said his mom has already been shown atleast twice and Robins mom was shown in i think just 2 episodes in flashbacks
Luffy's mum is Alvida. She appeared in the first episode to see Luffy off and afterwards in loguetown when dragon arrived and dragon also saved Alvida and Luffy.
Great video. Also want to mention that it’s likely Luffy’s dream came a point before meeting Shanks - a point of the story we don’t know about yet. Luffy didn’t know who his father was, but maybe he did know who his mother was. He didnt tell us about Ace or Garp before their stories were brought into the narrative. It’s possible his dream came from his mother or a situation with his mother at a very young age. Also love the theory from Randy in here. To this day that is one of my favorite theories. Great job.
Thing is, the last arc showed that Dragon will actually look out for those he cared sbout. And shows he does. What it showed was he keeps the Revs at a distance because they unlike everyone else has a job to do. And it clearly showed when you don’t do that you live Kuma’s tragic life.
Imagine Luffy's mom is one of the holy knights, and no one mentioned her neither Dragon or Garp because only high level Marines and the ones who was in God valley know who are the holy knights which means they are like the Gorosei not everyone knows them and if you know you don't mention them.
Imu being luffy's mom doesn't seem to be as far fetched as it seems cuz maybe Oda might've given us clues. From the beginning of the story even up till Wano many characters have referred to luffy as "the son of the devil" and the character in One Piece that resembles the devil the most is imu. And Oda did say that luffy's mom wouldn't be a very nice person. Not to mention that Imu hates pirates venturing in the seas the most and Oda said "mothers are usually the opposite of adventure"
@@ONI-CODM dude he's obviously trolling with that. Don't you think that if luffy's mother was truly unimportant to the story then Oda would've probably fully revealed her to us already or at least told us her name like how he did with so many other unimportant characters in SBSs??
It’d be interesting if Luffy’s mom was a Figarland. That would make Garling executing her so much worse. Luffy and Shanks being related would be cool too.
Dak is the goat of theories, bro literally cooks with every video😭. I stg, every vid this man makes convinces me that Oda HAS to be changing the ending… I’ve always subscribed to the idea that Garp had a daughter & Dragon just continued the Monkey name in the same way Ace took the name Portgas. I’m not sure if it lines up well timeline wise, but I thought Dragon could be Rocks’ son. All of that goes out the window though because this video makes too much sense
With that possible backstory in mind, it makes Dragon's first impression of Luffy's bounty, that proud smile of approval he made in private. If he wanted his son to be free, what's more reassuring to a parent than seeing your son with the most carefree smile and the most boundless occupations the world has to offer, being a pirate. The king of the pirates was the most free man alive, Dragon seeing his son resembling Roger must've filled his chest with pride.
I am thinking more about Dragon's mom, tbf. Why would Garp name his son Dragon if he disrespected the Celestial Dragons so much? Garp would've been in the Marines for just a year by the time Dragon was born. Was it Dragon's mom that lead Garp to join the Marines? Was it finding out that he was going to be a father? Or that there was some kind of conflict going on around that time that caused Garp, Sengoku, and Tsuru to join at the same time? Was Garp basically another scruffy mountain bandit up until that point where he felt he needed to become a Marine and protect others?
Can't use common sense in OP theories, they always gotta make it something crazy. Listen its simple: Since Garp would never name his own son "Dragon" (celestial dragons have had bad reputation for years even when garp was young) + the fact Dragon looks nothing like Garp, but Garp looks like the splitting image of Luffy, it can be easily concluded that Garp is not Dragon's biological father BUT he is the biological father of Luffy's mother. It's that simple.
@@Leon玲央 What if Luffy's mother had the surname "Monkey D."? it's possible that she had and after marrying Dragon he changed his surname as it's quite popular in Japan that after marriage, in some cases, husband gets the surname of their wives and not the opposite.. If the theory about Dragon not being the biological son of Garp is true then this theory about Luffy's mom having "Monkey D." in her name makes even more sense
I'm pretty sure its just a naming scheme joke. The same reason usopp is named usopp. Cause uso in Japanese means liar. Though their is a connection to aesop. In any case. The reason dragon is named dragon could be as simple as garp being named garp. Because in Asian mythology a carp that jumps over the dragons gate transforms into a dragon. So garp you could say is the fish wanting to be a dragon and dragon is tbe fish that became a dragon.
No it doesn't. Dragon's tattoo is inspired by the Thunderbird from native american mythology. Although I do believe that Dragon's devil fruit is actually a serpent that controls storms.
Luffy's mom most likely isn't from Amazon Lily cuz he was already there and no information about his mom appeared. No one said anything about luffy reminding them about someone that they knew. And if she isn't with Dragon and she isn't in Amazon Lily then she most likely isn't from there
@@tcbbctagain572 I mean no one thinks that except the people who been around since day 1 of OP back when we had literally 0 info about shanks outside of romance dawn. And the evil shanks theory people didnt even believe that crap. They just wanted to see the world burn by shanks being evil lmaoooo
@@tcbbctagain572they are going to be enemies. Luffy said he would take Shanks down. And all other Yonkos that actively want the One Piece have tried to, in no uncertain terms, kill him more than once. It would be strange if Shanks didn’t. Especually when the first lesson he teaches Luffy is Pirates kill.
@@mrbubbles6468 oh without a doubt luffy will have to face shanks in the future, I didnt say that he wasnt. I said that they wont be enemies like all other yonkos. Shanks will certianly be an antagonist, he wont be a villain. Theres a difference between antagonist and villain
It makes so much sense that Luffy’s mother being more involved in Dragons’ past, but Oda said that Luffy’s mother won’t be involved.( so I am told by the few times Oda mentioned her) This makes so much sense it seems like it would be dumb not to put something like in the story because Oda already put Bonnie’s back story.
What if she was Umi/Imu and Imu has a sort of Jyggalag/Sheogorath type situation, where her personality breaks away between BBEG and a totally wholesome babe, during which Luffy might've happened. Which would also explain why Dragon isn't as active as you'd expect. On one hand he wants to destroy world government (Imu included) and on another he's paralysed by indecision, cause Umi might still be able to "return" eventually, so he's stuck in a constant ". . ."
@@ollehkacb you should pay more attention really. It was never implied that dragon only heard about imu through sabo, if you go look at that scene again dragon wasnt really that shocked unlike ivankov and he didnt seem all that interested about imu unlike ivankov. Dragon was more interested about the ancient weapon
37:05 i think its also possible that Dragon showed up as she is being executed, he sees her smile, and is put to death. While yes its possible for him to have been there for long periods of time, he wasnt there all of the time. He could have been away, heard about the ruckus in the news a few days later, and got there literally as shes being put to death (and hes in a position where he can do nothing but watch, which would be a great foil to him saving Luffy, getting to Loguetown just in time).
I believe that Dragon was once the head of the Naval Internal Affairs branch or worked in that branch which is how he became disaffected so quickly & Sakazuki was mentored or taken in by Garp's right-hand Bogard which explains their closeness.
Just for reference celestial dragon's hair style is inspired by the movie called "The Adventures of Baron Munchausen" and not by the shape of a whale's tail.
Just finished the entire video, my favorite takeaway is when you mentioned Luffy Mom: Celestia + Luffy Dad: Dragon 🤯 it's so simple yet so right in front of our face that I think oda will reveal this at the end of the story. Luffy being a half celestial dragon could tie in very well.. Bravo!
One Piece fans need to calm down and just wait for the series to explain itself. People literally theory crafting Ph.D. level speculation at this point.
For every theory of one piece created Oda has taken a break week thinking about it long before hand. I really like this. He said Luffy's mom doesn't matter but he flat out refuses to put it in an sbs. It's important.
We know Dragon was a marine soldier, so I bet he got the wind fruit like the other admirals have element fruits. Celestial dragon made his wife a slave, then he went wild. He somehow knew where the 4 red road poneglyphs are, which is why he got them as his tattoo. He probably had some association with Roger. His association with Roger, either chasing him as an admiral or helping him afterwards, is how he discovered the Poneglyph locations. He wasn't a celestial dragon because he probably would've been killed for having D in his name and living on Mary Geoise. 2:35 This makes sense, as when Kuma asked why Dragon kept watching a kid at Windmill Village (Luffy), Dragon replied that a child is a liability to someone doing the work he does, suggesting he didn't wanna get involved in Luffy's life actively because Luffy could be found out and hurt, which is why he just checks up on him now and then. Then Luma said he understands and will forget the conversation. This could mean Dragon became worried like this after something happened to the mom. I'd bet a celestial dragon did something to Dragon's wife, explaining his grudge against them and why he left the Navy.
And Dragon's despise for celestial dragons came long before luffy was even born, so his despise for them doesnt come from something that happened to luffy's mom. In fact it might come from someone that happened to his mom, luffy's grandmother
@@voidcenturyD dude its not it is a 40 mins video and no need to repeat it so many times. It is not about attention span it is about make quality content and a meaningful one. Iam not hating here just saying an opinion
Im pretty sure Dragon knows about their existence from his time as a marine. Dragon knows the full layout of mariejois and pangea's castle which means he must've been there plenty of times, and only high ranked marines go to Mariejois. That's how Akainu knows about them as well
YO THIS IS A GREAT THOERY! I feel like when we closer to learn about the gorosei & god knight the more we find out more of about the celestial dragon, people speculate that Jupiter a traitor, your thoery make me feel like luffy mom might be jupiter sister and her death mabe the motivation for jupiter to betray the celestial dragons & even imu. Cant wait for what else your cooking up, Dak 🍶🏴☠️
Oooooh I love the idea she’s related to Jupiter… Ju Peter’s surname is Shepherd and the merry ties to sheep which are shepherded obviously, lot of biblical references there, so that does sorta tie to luffy… or maybe his mom was even Garlings sister so Shanks and Luffy are cousins? The familial potential here is strong And thanks for the donation as always! 🙏🏼
Ive always thought Dragon's mom would be a celestial dragon. Garp being so popular in his youth makes it very believable that women among the celestial dragons would have seen him as an absolute heart throb. Would make sense with his name as well. Garp making sure his son is a reminder that a commoner can be raised up through parentage. Being in the marines to learn from his father, with the goal to have him join or lead the God Knights (which if I had to guess, will be composed of half celestial children). Figarland being half and half might even explain the disdain the other elders had for him. This does not invalidate that Luffy's mom may also be a celestial dragon. Just an extra observation.
Still kinda hard to believe a Celestial Dragon would fall in love with an outsider. Even if the gal was willing to set aside her prejudice, those around her would still hate her and even possible have her kicked out of the holy land
@@kadentam2946 It would explain why Garp didnt want to spend any more time than he had to in Mary Geoise. The Monkey family has some deep seated trauma that needs to be unpacked and dealt with.
When will ANY OPtubers talk about The Adventures of Baron Von Munchhausen? The cartoon version has the Baron (Roger) marry a Mermaid lookalike of Portgas D. Rouge. The 1980s film has Robin Williams (RAY D. TUTTO) and his wife be the carbon copies of Celestial Dragons.
In the Flashback where Vegapunk meets Dragon, Vegapunk mentiones that Dragon is a Pacifist, and is wondering that he wants to start a war at all. I think Dragon is an extrem pacifist and not able to really fight someone himself.
Could also be some type of symbolism with Ace and Sabo Ace: Son of a great pirate Sabo: Son of nobility Luffy: Son of the highest nobility and the greatest threat to that nobility Something of a trio
Dak you should cook about the flashback gap during the time shanks got the scar from Teach, mihawk started a rivalry with Shanks, Dragon was in navy and left, nami's home country was destroyed and luffy was born. The timeframe for all these is pretty much around the same and Oda gave us before and after this era but nothing about this time.
Have you heard the theory that Dragon is not Garp's son, and that Garp is actually the father of Luffy's mother? The idea is that Dragon took the monkey name as he was marrying into a family of higher status than himself which was a custom in ancient Japan.
@@CapedCrusader5225 I dunno man, I think marrying in to the family or adopting a young Dragon is not out of the question. A parent that adopts a child will not refer to their child as "this is my adopted son," they would just say "this is my son." For narrative purposes Oda will not have Garp tell people, "my adopted son became a revolutionary," it would immediately give away any surprises to the readers. Ace/Luffy/Sabo and Kizaru/Akainu use kyodai, which can mean blood brothers, but can also mean strong bonded brothers in arms Also, Dragon looks nothing like Garp. Like zero resemblance. Luffy looks nothing like Dragon but when you see SBS pictures of middle-aged Luffy, he looks exactly like Garp.
@@CapedCrusader5225 Oh, yeah. Forgot about that. And honestly this video's theory makes more sense anyway. Looking forward to when the truth is finally revealed.
@@mav3622 if luffy is not biologicaly related to garp , then theory of garp adopting dragon is accepted ...but adopting one who married your daughter???so luffys mother and his father are step siblings???It does not matter if dragon is not like garp , we know that even in real world , when a child does not resemble their parents but resemble their grandparents...its in their genes...i think you are stretching it too far
I also like this idea. I think the theory in this video is way to far fetched, aswell as the Dragon is not Garps son, butt Luffys mum is Garps daughter theory Some One Piece theorys atleast have a good base and the missing queen theory is just as likely as the other mentioned ones.
@@BlackStarrTurnsHeel in episode 460 right before Whitebeard appears in Marineford Roger and Garp talk in a flashback, there was a weird translation saying "you"(Garp) need to protect Ace because "you" are related. I could see Garp having a number of kids and him being a dawg with many women he had affairs with on his travels, with Portgas D Rouge and Dragon being 2 of them and Akainu being a 3rd based on his mannerisms that imitate Garp without the reckless Monkey trait we see in Garp and Luffy.
@@BlackStarrTurnsHeel luffy was already at Amazon Lily and no information about his mom emerged while he was there. So it's pretty obvious that she's not from there

this theory is beuatiful tragic but such a beautiful love story for dragon and luffy's mother, no idea if oda even has a plan for luffys mother but i love this concept, question for you if you had to say what family do you think luffy would belong to, a grandchild of a grand elder a random celestial or maybe even a nerona?
that Gaburu-Guy from that Caribou-Coverstory looks a bit like Che Guevara, so it would be pretty reasonable to think of him as a leader or at least an important figure for some group of revolutionaries. maybe he was a bit like Buggy: a weakling, a phony, a big mouth; but someone with huge charisma to gather people around him. Dragon might have strenghtened this group by organizing them and sooner or later they might have joined forces with Dragon and his freedom fighters.
Also sitting here, hoping that the meeting between the Strawhats, the Revolutionaries, and Vivi (as she has to hear Cobra’s message from Sabo) will happen after Elbaf to give us a mini Rev Army arc that allows for a little bit of training, and an easier way to write Vivi back into the crew. From there the SH’s just need to have a run in with Cross Guild. Other than that, their eventual meeting with Shanks, Blackbeard, and fight against the WG can happen anytime. I just believe we have to have some mini arcs before going into the final part of the story: the Throne Wars.
One of the biggest theories in One Piece.[I like the theory, just cooked my own lunch to eat already] First off I think Garp was a dawg who had multiple kids, Dragon and Akainu being 2 of them. Akainu has too many mannerisms of Garp, just not the wreckless side the Monkeys all have. Also could parrallel my idea that Joyboy or Nika and Imu were also siblings, when Lily a love interest came between them. Dragon is Robins father, and I wouldn't be terribly surprised if Tritoma was actually Nico Olvia with white hair. Who then went back to Amazon Lily to hide in secret after O'Hara was destroyed. People don't die in One Piece, and then Crocomom runs into Ivankov because the WG got a rumor Olvia hadnt really died. Then Crocodile searching for Robin and Dragon searching for Robin both make sense, and the other puzzle pieces of Oda saying we met Luffys mom and Ivankovs croc secret all fall into place neatly too. Also explains Crocs damaged face, a buster call on O'Hara she barely survived and yes she is the character type who cling to life or even be saved by Kuzan who froze Saul who survived. Kuzan always seemed like he had something he wanted to tell Robin, maybe just Saul but why not Olvia too? Have a random great doctor in Hogback who is known to be able to repair bodies with stiches like Croc in the west blue too, maybe Kuhera even fled the west blue(she always dressed like a rockstar like Brook or the Rumbar Pirates to me) after saving a certain survivor of O'Hara?
The idea of dragon hiding his son is or was to prevent them using luffy on them if they knew, or to capture and kill him, thus avoiding something like ace in marineford and it protects both, but now luffy is too strong and they doxed him in marineford to no effect, only akainu took it seriously to try get him, its slso to protectbthe mothers identity, some think its toritoma the missing amazon lily leader or some side character in the Revolution, i dont think its a celestial, an ex slave perhaps though
I think Dragon's face changed because of the haki, like in Wano that blue hairstyle guy's style and face changed when he was so angry and sad of Oden death. And he waited 20 years for the repay. It makes sense like dragon also having like truly imotional event happened and he turned against the world government
Oda replied to some Japanese fan asking about Luffy's mom back then. He told the fan she's not important to the story. Not sure if he changed his mind since then, and I forgot how long ago that was.
He was most definitely trolling cuz if luffy's mom was truly unimportant to the story then he most likely would've at least told us her name in an sbs like how he did with so many unimportant characters
I've thought Luffy's mother was a celestial dragon that was murdered by the government for a very long time. You pulled a lot more details I hadn't thought of though. Good video
I think the 2 Soverign thing is a lot simpler than them being Shirahoshi and luffy, for one: joyboy’s will lives on through his fruit whereas Shirahoshi’s power is genetic. I think the 2 Soverigns about to be born are Shirahoshi and Momonosuke and the reason there wasn’t 3 soverigns was because the origional commander of Uranus is still alive so the next one can’t inherit the ability. Secondly, Momonosuke is second Soverign because him talking with Zunesha parallels Shirahoshi talking with the sea kings, him also learning that his fate is important is another hint towards him being the ‘human’ aspect of one of the ancient weapons. He is also a similar age to Shirahoshi. I believe the third Soverign would be vivi but (personal theory) Lili is being preserved by the ope ope fruit after being mindswapped with Imu Crazy theory I know but lmk what u think
Love this theory. I want to take it a step further and say what I've believed since seeing Oda draw Luffy at 40 and 60. I believe 'Playboy' Saint Garling Figarland is Luffy's maternal grandfather and that Shanks had an older sister, who was Luffy's mother. -We know the ladies loved Garling and Shanks is also considered devilishly handsome. -Luffy at 40 really resembles Shanks more so than Dragon or Garp. Oda does a really good job at making characters who are related look related. Luffy at 60 looks more like Garp. What if Luffy looks like Shanks at 40 because his mom was a Figarland too? Now adding from Dak's Sake's theory... If Luffy's mom was executed then it would have likely been by Garling himself based on his demeanor and belief that Celestials mingling with lowly commoners is worse than even being low born. In fact, his beliefs may have become more solidified because of the acts of his daughter not only intermingling with low born, but a member of the D. bloodline at that. -This could have been what granted Garling Supreme Commander of God's Knights and it may have granted and solidified his position and favor from Imu, who would see the fact that Garling would kill his own blood in order to maintain the status quo of the ruling elite as true loyalty. Garling is a scary man 😮 Edit: I forgot to mention Shanks and Luffy's relation outside of bloodline. What a twist of fate it would be that two of Garling's offspring (Shanks as his son and Luffy as his grandson) would be orphaned due to conflict between Celestials and the D., just to end up being the two individuals who inherited the Pirate King's will. It's poetic in the sense that the Will of D. essentially overrides any type of bloodline or blood relation you have to someone. We also get examples of this with Sabo and Ace's characters, who both denounce their family in order to follow their own will. This is a concept and theme in One Piece that just can't be overlooked. It is that important to the readers.
Really hoping Oda keeps Dragon as Garp’s son. I’d love it if he fell for a celestial dragon in the vein of Otohime. Her death being another motivator for the RA. It’d be interesting to see Luffy’s mother be one of the Gods Knights, and that’s the main reason for Dragon’s concern. Hmm?

If this theory is correct than Luffy’s connections to Ace and Sabo is beautiful,
Because Luffy, who is half noble and half revolutionary, is the glue between a true noble (Sabo) and a true devil child (Ace) and believes in the true good in both of them.
Sabo, Ace, and Luffys brotherhood is shown to be a wonderful example that a relationship between a noble and the commeners, is possible.

My honest thoughts "..."

Theories and Connections Regarding Luffy, Joy Boy, and the World of One Piece
1. Joy Boy and Luffy’s Origin:
• Luffy is theorized to be the son of the legendary figure Joy Boy, who may have been sent to the future and found by Dragon. This connection would explain Luffy’s unique lineage and extraordinary potential.
• The name “Luffy” could derive from the English word “laugh,” which ties him to the concepts of joy and laughter, further connecting him to Joy Boy.
2. Dragon’s Role and Luffy’s Upbringing:
• Dragon, realizing the need to change the world, may have left Luffy to be raised by Garp. This decision could have been influenced by the potential dangers or responsibilities linked to Luffy’s heritage.
3. Imu, Joy Boy, and the Nefertari Lineage:
• Imu, a godlike figure, is suggested to have been in a rivalry with Joy Boy.
4. The Gods and the Ancient War:
• In the past, gods are believed to have lived on the moon, with Enel considering himself one of these gods, which explains his journey to the moon.
5. Joy Boy’s Unique Role and the Nika Fruit:
• Joy Boy, being a hybrid of Nika and a human, was the only one compatible with wielding the power of Nika’s devil fruit.
6. Imu’s Potential Power and the Nature of Devil Fruits:
• There’s a theory that Imu may have power over devil fruit users, potentially able to manipulate the spirit within the fruits to overcome the user, meaning This could also explain the role of the Five Elders in the story. Probably Imu is a demon or ate a demon fruit similar to god sun Nika. One Piece Red film gave us a good introduction about demons exist.
7. The One Piece and Its Significance:
• The One Piece might be the key to restoring the devil fruits to their original nature.

Got to admit the idea of Luffy’s mom just declaring that she is taking Dragon for herself is not only very funny but also very Luffy.
My headcanon is Dragon had two children from two different women:
1. Luffys mother. I want it to be Tritoma (missing or "dead" 3rd empress of Amazon Lily) and;
2. Nico Olivia- I do not believe for a second Dragon brought flowers for Clover. They were for Olivia
This makes Luffy and Robin half-siblings. I also think if this ever turned out to be true, Dragon told Robin this news when she spent the 2 years with the RA.
@mav3622 yeah I like the nico one always thought that Robin and luffy were siblings dk why
We've (I've) seen sooo many theories on this topic, but this might be the best one yet. Very well done - as always!
Luffy's mom got snuffed out after the celestials found out. Which became the main reason dragon left the Navy.

The theory in this video is not realy strong
Dak is the goat of theories, bro literally cooks with every video😭. I stg, every vid this man makes convinces me that Oda HAS to be changing the ending… I’ve always subscribed to the idea that Garp had a daughter & Dragon just continued the Monkey name in the same way Ace took the name Portgas. I’m not sure if it lines up well timeline wise, but I thought Dragon could be Rocks’ son.
All of that goes out the window though because this video makes too much sense
Maybe the symbol on dragons face are like the weather knots. The more knots the stronger the wind.
Dragon sounds bad ass to be honest
@@iCeeYouP If that would be true, Garp wouldnt be named Monkey D. Garp. I also believe Dragon was officaly stated to be Garps son.

Like always Great video!
Dragon's devil fruit is most likely going to be a mythical zoan and it might be the God of the Rain mentioned in Skypiea
And Dragon's despise for celestial dragons came long before luffy was even born, so his despise for them doesnt come from something that happened to luffy's mom. In fact it might come from someone that happened to his mom, luffy's grandmother
The reason Dragon finally founded the revolutionary army was cuz of the Ohara incident and a friend of his was killed

The familial potential here is strong
And thanks for the donation as always!
I feel like the treasure is Bink's sake and the tale of the friends who hid it there and made mere booze a treasure.

Luffy's mother is related to Rayleigh, Boggy sead it, Rayleigh is luffy's uncle, that means Rayleigh's sister is luffy's mother.
I wonder if this is why the old Luffy that Bonney turned him into looks kinda like a much older Rayleigh?
Real and rayleigh tapped the predecessor/ to his sister, makes sense then that he trained his nrphew
That was anime only
Luffy: "but you killed my mother"
Imukin Airwalker: "No, Luffy, I am your mother".
In the Flashback where Vegapunk meets Dragon, Vegapunk mentiones that Dragon is a Pacifist, and is wondering that he wants to start a war at all. I think Dragon is an extrem pacifist and not able to really fight someone himself.
Ahh, finally. A dedicated crocomom video !!!
Could also be some type of symbolism with Ace and Sabo
Ace: Son of a great pirate
Sabo: Son of nobility
Luffy: Son of the highest nobility and the greatest threat to that nobility
Something of a trio
Dak you should cook about the flashback gap during the time shanks got the scar from Teach, mihawk started a rivalry with Shanks, Dragon was in navy and left, nami's home country was destroyed and luffy was born. The timeframe for all these is pretty much around the same and Oda gave us before and after this era but nothing about this time.
Have you heard the theory that Dragon is not Garp's son, and that Garp is actually the father of Luffy's mother? The idea is that Dragon took the monkey name as he was marrying into a family of higher status than himself which was a custom in ancient Japan.
@@SteveLexingtonWriting when garp was talking to kuzan in a flash back, he said my son became a revolutionary.
@@CapedCrusader5225 game theory, Crocodile is Garps son
@@CapedCrusader5225 I dunno man, I think marrying in to the family or adopting a young Dragon is not out of the question.
A parent that adopts a child will not refer to their child as "this is my adopted son," they would just say "this is my son."
For narrative purposes Oda will not have Garp tell people, "my adopted son became a revolutionary," it would immediately give away any surprises to the readers.
Ace/Luffy/Sabo and Kizaru/Akainu use kyodai, which can mean blood brothers, but can also mean strong bonded brothers in arms
Also, Dragon looks nothing like Garp.
Lmaoo simply putting that compass by Dragon’s face got the “like” from me 😭 0:51
Luffy was an immaculate conception and was born out of a egg that Dragon laid

Luffy's mom should be the missing queen from Amazon Lilly. I actually like that idea but hey it's not my story to tell. 😂
I also like this idea. I think the theory in this video is way to far fetched, aswell as the Dragon is not Garps son, butt Luffys mum is Garps daughter theory
Some One Piece theorys atleast have a good base and the missing queen theory is just as likely as the other mentioned ones.
@@Leon玲央 Luffy's mom could be Garps daughter? 🤔 I never thought of it like that cause we have yet to meet Luffy's mom. That would make sense. 💡
So it's pretty obvious that she's not from there
@@Leon玲央 I'm sorry but how is theory of this video far fetched while you also believe that his mom is the missing empress of Amazon Lily when we were told that she died from love sickness (uncorresponded love) cuz she didn't leave the island?
this theory is beuatiful tragic but such a beautiful love story for dragon and luffy's mother, no idea if oda even has a plan for luffys mother but i love this concept, question for you if you had to say what family do you think luffy would belong to, a grandchild of a grand elder a random celestial or maybe even a nerona?
that Gaburu-Guy from that Caribou-Coverstory looks a bit like Che Guevara, so it would be pretty reasonable to think of him as a leader or at least an important figure for some group of revolutionaries. maybe he was a bit like Buggy: a weakling, a phony, a big mouth; but someone with huge charisma to gather people around him. Dragon might have strenghtened this group by organizing them and sooner or later they might have joined forces with Dragon and his freedom fighters.
Luffy's mom being names Celeste would be a very oda thing, obvious hint that luffy is a celestial dragon
One of the biggest theories in One Piece.[I like the theory, just cooked my own lunch to eat already]
First off I think Garp was a dawg who had multiple kids, Dragon and Akainu being 2 of them.
21:36 i love celestial dragon hidden island image so much
I think Dragon's face changed because of the haki, like in Wano that blue hairstyle guy's style and face changed when he was so angry and sad of Oden death.
I believe the third Soverign would be vivi but (personal theory) Lili is being preserved by the ope ope fruit after being mindswapped with Imu
Crazy theory I know but lmk what u think
Luffy's mom being a Celestial Dragon is one of the oldest One Piece Theories
“On the way home from Wendy’s”
@@darthkatalyst6304 where all great theories begin
Garling is a scary man 😮
Edit: I forgot to mention Shanks and Luffy's relation outside of bloodline.
Hmm?
This is a cool idea i like it. I got a question, when’s the next tcg stream? I signed up to get packs but my membership runs out soon
