Thing is, the last arc showed that Dragon will actually look out for those he cared sbout. And shows he does. What it showed was he kees the Revs at a distance because they unlike everyone else has a job to do.
And it clearly showed when you don’t do that you live akuma’s tragic life.

What if she was Umi/Imu and Imu has a sort of Jyggalag/Sheogorath type situation, where her personality breaks away between BBEG and a totally wholesome babe, during which Luffy might've happened.
Which would also explain why Dragon isn't as active as you'd expect. On one hand he wants to destroy world government (Imu included) and on another he's paralysed by indecision, cause Umi might still be able to "return" eventually, so he's stuck in a constant ". . ."
On one hand, it would be kinda boring if Luffys mother was some super important individual. But on the other hand…his grandfathers a Navy legend, his dads the most wanted criminal in the world, his brother was the pirate kings son, and he’s on good terms with 4 kings (technically 5 but Cobras dead), and has an entire fleet fully loyal to him.

Luffy's mother is related to Rayleigh, Boggy sead it, Rayleigh is luffy's uncle, that means Rayleigh's sister is luffy's mother.

Have you heard the theory that Dragon is not Garp's son, and that Garp is actually the father of Luffy's mother? The idea is that Dragon took the monkey name as he was marrying into a family of higher status than himself which was a custom in ancient Japan.

Ive always thought Dragon's mom would be a celestial dragon. Garp being so popular in his youth makes it very believable that women among the celestial dragons would have seen him as an absolute heart throb.
Would make sense with his name as well. Garp making sure his son is a reminder that a commoner can be raised up through parentage. Being in the marines to learn from his father, with the goal to have him join or lead the God Knights (which if I had to guess, will be composed of half celestial children). Figarland being half and half might even explain the disdain the other elders had for him.
This does not invalidate that Luffy's mom may also be a celestial dragon. Just an extra observation.
Still kinda hard to believe a Celestial Dragon would fall in love with an outsider. Even if the gal was willing to set aside her prejudice, those around her would still hate her and even possible have her kicked out of the holy land
@@kadentam2946 It would explain why Garp didnt want to spend any more time than he had to in Mary Geoise. The Monkey family has some deep seated trauma that needs to be unpacked and dealt with.

I always liked the theory that Garp is Luffy's maternal grandpa and his mother was Garp's daughter and Dragon married *into* the Monkey family
Would also make Luffy match Naruto and Ichigo AND his own "brother" Ace also all going by their mother's last name not their fathers
It would serve as an alternative reason Dragon is so different from Garp and Luffy who are extremely similar because he got all that from his mom's side not his dad's
She could still be a Celestial Dragon if Garp's wife is/was one and could be what made him fight for them in the God Valley incident even though we know Garp doesn't like them but values his family
What if Luffy's Mom is one of the God's Knights, I feel like Elbaf may feature a mobilization of the gods knights, Luffy has no issues punching out a woman, So it would be funny that he gets attacked by a female gods and knocks her ass out. Then later find out she's his mom.
I'm not so sure about this one, only because Shanks being the child of a Celestial Dragon fits a lot better, and I don't think Oda would do that for both of them. However, his mother being a former slave would work. Perhaps a slave Dragon stole from the... dragons.... Still going with being an escort to the Celestial Dragons, he saw how badly whichever one was treating their slave, and stole her away, and thus he became super wanted as a result. Then they have a kid in secret, since she wouldn't want to go broadcasting 'hey, I'm a former slave' like the Boa sisters, only she stayed out of the spotlight. Dragon, on the other hand, made the spotlight focus on him really hard, possibly to keep it away from her. And... I dunno, she might have still been killed by the nobles at some point, or just a random act of violence took her. Something senseless that drove him to be as hard as he is, and hand Luffy over to Garp. There is also the very... dark option that Garp is the one that killed Luffy's mom, on some order or something, but I doubt they'd go that far. He's not the type to kill an innocent because someone said so.

Because Luffy, who is half noble and half revolutionary, is the glue between a true noble (Sabo) and a true devil child (Ace) and believes in the true good in both of them.
Sabo, Ace, and Luffys brotherhood is shown to be a wonderful example that a relationship between a noble and the commeners, is possible.
If Luffy’s mom was a CD, her being with a D clan member would be the greatest sin to them since they’re the enemy of the gods.

Luffys mother is dead. She’s a celestial dragon that got killed for bearing the child of the revolutionary leader. Garp saved and took luffy at birth.
Personally i think a good name for Luffy's mother could be something like "Soleil", referencing the Sun. Sounds royal enough in the context of this theory as well.
And also why is dragon and the Revolutionary Army in the grand line? Why not move to the new world where there's no world government Authority and where they can hide more Why stay in the grand line?

I think even oda won't give this kind of importance to luffy's mother as much as the one piece community does.😂 In my opinion even oda ever wants to reveal about luffy's mother, it will be at the final stages of the show.
I would also like to bring up the point for the flow of slaves for the celestial dragons the slaves don’t have a high quality of life so we can assume that they’re dying fairly often in which case The celestial dragons gonna need a consistent addition of new slaves
i think its possible that dragon loved luffys mom and they were both thinking of being revolutionaries but luffys mom was captured and used as bait and dragon tried to save her but she died and so afterwards dragon refused to go after people. this would also parallel luffy in marineford
What if instead of god valley dragon had previously held the position that Kong holds and Kong refilled the role on his departure or something along the likes. If he works in such proximity to the nobles it would give him ample time with a celestial dragon. Also Kong and his position are clearly very important but we’ve gotten no follow up
Dragon wouldn’t marry and have a baby with a celestial dragon but he might have had a baby with a mermaids but the celestial dragons killed the mermaid and that leaded to dragon being to busy to look after luffy as he started the revolutionary army

The idea of dragon hiding his son is or was to prevent them using luffy on them if they knew, or to capture and kill him, thus avoiding something like ace in marineford and it protects both, but now luffy is too strong and they doxed him in marineford to no effect, only akainu took it seriously to try get him, its slso to protectbthe mothers identity, some think its toritoma the missing amazon lily leader or some side character in the Revolution, i dont think its a celestial, an ex slave perhaps though

I may be completly off in the left field... but I belive that Nico Olvia was Luffys mother too. she died when Luffy was 1 dragon visited the island of Ohara when Vegapunk was there.Alone. not with the rev. army but he was there alone.It would also make sense that she is of no relevance anymore...
