Unboxing Mitutoyo Calipers - genuine?

Unboxing of Mitutoyo 500-196-30 Digital Calipers. These are genuine (apparently there are a lot of fakes about). I've been using these for about 3 years and they are amazing calipers... well worth it.

Is the Origin button on yours flush with the top panel, or does it protrude slightly?

Taylor, the Origin button is almost flush, but it protrudes very slightly (~0.2mm). The On/Off and Zero/Abs protrude by about 1mm.

Your serial on paper matches the serial on the back of you caliper. How much was it ?

Yes, they're real - I'm pretty confident these are genuine Mitutoyo. They display four decimals in Inch mode (0.0000in) and the serial number matches the certificate. Apparently, the fake ones have a different battery door (somewhat recessed), longer locking screw, and only display three decimal places in Inch mode.
