I simply love how concise, condensed and really to the point your videos are. Such a joy to watch and you learn so much from them. Thanks so much, Anders! Happy holidays!
Very true, the algorithm loves list. Majority of the things I get recommend are list in things I have interest in or list of things that that peaked my interest once.
I just discovered that if you watch these at half-speed, it looks like you've already drunk all of the drinks, and then finished off what was left in the bottles. A lot of fun, and also the video lasts twice as long, so it's a win-win! Though now that I think of it, how do we know you didn't actually do that, and then double-speed it in editing to make it seem like you're sober? Hmmmm....
You are so damn charismatic, I don't even make drinks, but I like watching your stuff. I like the fumbling at the beginning of the video, its always the best part!
Love that all these drinks are relatively easy. Just what’s needed in this busy season! Have a bottle of sherry I’ve been wanting to crack. Now I know what to do with it first. Thanks, Anders.
I like to use hot apple cider instead of hot water for my Hot Buttered Rum and it’s soooo good! Tastes like if apple pie a La mode was a hot boozy drink. Love it!
This inspired me to make my first flip. Delicious. For those who love the side-by-side drinks videos, what about a Flip episode? Sherry, Brandy, Cynar?! Port, Rum, Mr Black?! Maybe the algorithm doesn't like flip roundup videos, but I would!
"Happy cold weather days!" as I watch this in late December in Hawaii with nothing but a pair of shorts on in my living room at 8am. Ahhh, warm weather all year ain't so bad, but these cocktails sure look great!
6 drink Holiday video is fantastic. So many interesting and tasty cocktails to chose from ... and 5 weeks to try them ALL. Thanks for reaching into you Holiday bag of tricks and sharing your favorites.
I tried making the Alexander for my Christmas cocktail, and in all honesty, I did naaaht enjoy it. However, it did inspire me to create something I did enjoy with the bottle of creme de cacao I ended up buying. Later I discovered it was very similar to an existing cocktail: the 20th century. My version is 1.5oz gin, 1oz creme de cacao, 1oz sweet vermouth, 0.5oz lemon juice. Flame some orange peel over that. I call it a 2021.
I’m sipping on your hot buttered rum right now after being stuck in a blizzard for 2hrs and it’s SO COMFORTING! Thank you for opening my eyes to this drink!
Between Anders, How to Drink and Tipsy Bartender, all my drinking needs are covered.. Anders and How to Drink I watch even when not thinking about making drinks lol
For your next winter cocktail list Hot peppermint patty 1 oz peppermint schnapps 1/2 oz dark creme de cacao 1 tsp green creme de menthe 5 - 8 oz hot chocolate 1/2 - 1 oz whipped cream
My wife walked into the room as you were discussing the hot buttered rum and immediately made a yummy noise. Hot buttered rum is now on the menu for tonight. Thank you sir!
I just added a Hot Buttered Branca to our cocktail list at Glasspar in Dana Point, CA. I make a batter of butter, brown sugar, white granulated sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add 1.5 oz Fernet Branca, hot water, and a top with a lightly whipped cream with vanilla paste. It is AMAZING!
Hey Anders - just wanted to say this video (and a friend's whiskey sour) really inspired me to start trying my hand at cocktails, many of which I've never had before. I've thoroughly enjoyed the experience so far, and I just wanted to say thank you! Happy Holidays to you and yours!
Made 3 of them. i really enjoyed the alexander ! And even more so the brandy alexander. Especially for the holidays really went well together. Thank you!
About your train...one day you'll realize it didn't catch your attention, and that you've adapted without knowing. This comes from personal experience of living half a block from the tracks. Much love always!
Anders. The Semester Abroad is a solid cocktail. I got to try it over the weekend at a restaurant. In your honor I had her serve it in a coupe. Arguably I should have had my second cocktail first as it was a dry martini (Uncle Val's Gin) splashed with garlic scape pickle juice. It brought some funk to the party. Lastly, really enjoying the channel.
Thanks Anders & Az. Love a good list and perfect for a cold winters day here in Bendigo, Victoria, Australia. Have spent my Saturday afternoon working through your list and my No1 is the Elkes Own. Enjoyed the others but for me its the Elkes.
Living close to a busy airport..... I feel your pain.....Elk's own and the Semester abroad (with fernet branca) look nice, will try the flip one with rum.....I always think the clover club and the pink lady as very festive cocktails. Nice video.
I was looking for a single serve hot buttered rum recipe and yours is right up my alley. I made it, used Denizen Merchant Reserve and to be honest it's like a giant buttery hug.
These have to be The most Odd Cocktails ive come across today.. i dont think id like an egg in my drink but the last one with the butter actually sounds amazing.
That train! Imagine how the Blue's Brothers felt! Dude, another great video, thanks. I've searched and have not found a drink that is total banana dessert styled. There has to be a spiced rum, banana liqueur, chocolate/chocolate bitters, coffee and maybe some vanilla or cherry? It won't have fresh bananas keep in mind and will mimic a banana split or something like it. And no to the dirty banana, it's been done to death. Let the alchemy begin if you so dare sir.
Wow.......this is like a TGV (the French fast track train) going on top speed! Good to have a lot of cocktails to get through the colder days.....but the pace is like a rampage! Allways like a little back story with the drinks.....As you can tell so well!......The egg comment; great stuff!
Wanted to try making a Semester Abroad, had literally NONE of the bottles I needed, but used the same ratios with OGD Bonded, Marie Brizard Apry and Averna and it is amaaaaaazing
I have long been a fan of the Brandy Alexander (Wisconsin girl) and also an Amaretto Alexander, but I always thought the original Alexander with gin sounded...not great. I just couldn't imagine the bright botanicals of the gin working with the chocolate and creme. However, having watched this video, I decided to give it a shot. I went in with low expectations, especially since my current gin options are Hendricks's and Empress 1908. I didn't want the color of the Empress, but I figured the cucumber notes of the Hendrick's wouldn't play well at all. Boy howdy, I was pleasantly surprised! It was so delicious, and somehow the chocolate notes of the creme de cacao come out even more than in the the Brandy Alexander (which I've been making most nights since Christmas Eve). I've rarely been so delighted to be proven wrong. So thank you for the recommendation.
Anders, I wanted to say I recently found your channel and I absolutely love your content and your personality! You inspired me to try my hand at some cocktails. I bought some of the tools your recommended and it has been so much fun! I have created my own drinks now and started my own recipe book. Keep up the great work! I love learning from you.

What are you drinking this winter? 🍹
Grab the bottles I use at Curiada! 👉 bit.ly/Andersspirits
As algorithm "likes" lists, then titles need to be cheap clickbaits like "Top X Christmas cocktails" ;)
For Christmas this year, I am making Glogg, from your video of course.
Im drinking a Winter Mai Tai!!!
I really love the Hot Buttered Rum recipe from Smuggler's Cove.
Where can we find your glassware?
I simply love how concise, condensed and really to the point your videos are. Such a joy to watch and you learn so much from them. Thanks so much, Anders! Happy holidays!
Yeah, you're killing it Anders. I reckon 1 million subscribers is gonna happen in the next two years
"Gambling destroys families."
Thank you for putting this together 😊
Jake: How often does the train go by? Elwood: so often you won't notice.
Goodness… this hot buttered rum recipe was delightful. Reminded me of the ski lodge during a snowstorm. “Hugs my soul”
Anders, The Semester Abroad is fantastic!
Very true, the algorithm loves list. Majority of the things I get recommend are list in things I have interest in or list of things that that peaked my interest once.
That semester abroad made me shed a tear or three. Those beautiful memories. And then you went on to the sherry flip and 5 more tears came out.
Lovin’ your content. I just had your semester abroad and I love it.
Hmmmm....
I cannot confirm nor deny that this is how we produce our videos.
Love seeing all these and going, "boy I can't wait to try these when it's 20C outside next july!"
Southern hemisphere yay!
You are so damn charismatic, I don't even make drinks, but I like watching your stuff. I like the fumbling at the beginning of the video, its always the best part!
Excited to try the Semester Abroad!
Great, quick hot buttered rum! Thanks.
This channel has become my new addiction! Love the delivery and the variety of recipes you offer.
Your creation, The Semester Abroad is fantastic! Great depth, perfect sipper.
I love the extraness of the mist of absinthe..YEESSSSSSS👏
Love that all these drinks are relatively easy. Just what’s needed in this busy season! Have a bottle of sherry I’ve been wanting to crack. Now I know what to do with it first. Thanks, Anders.
6 drinks in one video?? It’s a Black Friday miracle! Can’t wait to make these tonight. Love the new space
Haha Thanks, Dominic! Hope you're having a great holiday weekend with some good drinks!
I like to use hot apple cider instead of hot water for my Hot Buttered Rum and it’s soooo good! Tastes like if apple pie a La mode was a hot boozy drink. Love it!
I have trains pass me twice an hour from 5.30 until half past midnight….. absolutely love it!!!
I hope to get to your level of acceptance!
This inspired me to make my first flip. Delicious. For those who love the side-by-side drinks videos, what about a Flip episode? Sherry, Brandy, Cynar?! Port, Rum, Mr Black?! Maybe the algorithm doesn't like flip roundup videos, but I would!
The Semester Abroad is fantastic, especially on this cold and snowy night. Thank you for sharing this recipe.
Great comedy to garnish this amazing recipes. Love this channel, thank you , Mr Anderson!! Clap clap clap!!
"Happy cold weather days!" as I watch this in late December in Hawaii with nothing but a pair of shorts on in my living room at 8am. Ahhh, warm weather all year ain't so bad, but these cocktails sure look great!
You will grow to love that train. I'm in a similar situation and, even if I am not recording, I will stop what I am doing to enjoy the train passing.
These are all wonderful cocktails! Some of these are new to me. I’ll have to try them out.
Love this channel. Seriously upping my game in this tiny college town.
I made the Elk’s Own. I’m a sucker for a foaming top. The fresh grated nutmeg really transformed it into a cold winter night cocktail 🍹
Grew up in Guyana and moved to Plymouth UK so was really excited to see the 2 El Dorado rums and Plymouth Gin on your shelf, personal favs.
I tried out the Hot Buttered Rum and holy it's unusual smooth for a Rum cocktail. Very nice
For me the Elks own is for me!
Really cosy this video and AZ as postman,...fabulous,..bottoms up!!!!
I can't get over how good your videos are.
Thanks, Tom! Cheers!
We use Bubu Rum or Lost Spirits Distillary "Navy" Rum for an amazing tasting Hot Buttered Rum.
why was this the funniest ad I've seen in a youtube video
The rum flip was a great success as celebration on Christmas Eve. Delicious! But six people do go through eggs quickly. Thank you!
I love both algorithms and lists
Just what I needed! Got volunteered by the Mrs. to be bartender at a Christmas party on Dec 10th. Many thanks Anders.
Hahaha exactly the same thing happened to me today! So great timing from Anders
You'll be a star, David! Happy mixing!
@@AndersErickson thanks dad. I’ll do you proud.
I would’ve never thought gin and cream could go well together and here I am loving this drink!
6 drink Holiday video is fantastic. So many interesting and tasty cocktails to chose from ... and 5 weeks to try them ALL. Thanks for reaching into you Holiday bag of tricks and sharing your favorites.
Hope you try them all! Cheers!
This just warmed the cockels of my heart - you da best!
Dude was on point, no BS just awesome cocktail recipes and And some humor. Great job !
Love the new space, trains be damned! You seem very at home there already. Thanks for the great list!
So happy to see you're doing ads now, shows how much your channel is growing. 👏🏾
The semester abroad? So good. *chef kiss*
Thanks for these and the other videos. Subscribed!
At least one of the drinks I will add to the menu of the bar where I work, thank you!
I tried making the Alexander for my Christmas cocktail, and in all honesty, I did naaaht enjoy it. Closing the door on Az's high five during the Brightcellar ad made me laugh out loud. You both are the best!
Between Anders, How to Drink and Tipsy Bartender, all my drinking needs are covered.. Anders and How to Drink I watch even when not thinking about making drinks lol
Excellent Hot Buttered Rum! Thanks! I used Myers's Rum.
For your next winter cocktail list
Hot peppermint patty
1 oz peppermint schnapps
1/2 oz dark creme de cacao
1 tsp green creme de menthe
5 - 8 oz hot chocolate
1/2 - 1 oz whipped cream
These are different and I’m going to try them all, thanks!
Thanks for you job Anders ! Greetings from France 🤩
Love this! I always look forward to your Friday videos!! Been telling all my friends about you
Thank you so much, Spencer! Enjoy the weekend!
My wife walked into the room as you were discussing the hot buttered rum and immediately made a yummy noise. Hot buttered rum is now on the menu for tonight. Thank you sir!
Excellent! Enjoy it - Cheers!
Elk's own is soo good
Tip for people who are leery about using raw eggs in cocktails. Pasteurized eggs exist and can be found in many grocery stores.
Made the Elk’s Own at our family Christmas this year and it was an absolute HIT. Beautiful looking & tasting cocktail!
Az's face when you shut the door in her face....priceless! Also, Anders looked more like the delivery guy than Az, I think it's the cap!
I thought that sounded like the CTA. Enjoy your new place! Great video, will be trying a flip soon.
Hey Anders - just wanted to say this video (and a friend's whiskey sour) really inspired me to start trying my hand at cocktails, many of which I've never had before. I've thoroughly enjoyed the experience so far, and I just wanted to say thank you! Happy Holidays to you and yours!
Well have to save this post to watch again later because it is Summer in Australia 😎🍸
Made 3 of them. i really enjoyed the alexander ! And even more so the brandy alexander. Especially for the holidays really went well together. Thank you!

i feel like the hot buttered rum could taste even better with brown butter!! will definitely be trying
Another classy video, thank you. My pinky was up throughout watching the entire thing. So ready for the holidays now.
Thank you. You are the best! Happy holidays!
Anders. The Semester Abroad is a solid cocktail. I got to try it over the weekend at a restaurant. In your honor I had her serve it in a coupe. Happy happy holidays to you also !
Love Fernet, must try the Semester Abroad! Could certainly use a semester abroad, too. 🥲
I hope you do try it! If you love Fernet, I think you'll enjoy this one! Also hope you can get some time abroad too 😉
Thanks Anders & Az. Love a good list and perfect for a cold winters day here in Bendigo, Victoria, Australia. Have spent my Saturday afternoon working through your list and my No1 is the Elkes Own. Enjoyed the others but for me its the Elkes.
My new favorite!

Great call with the Clover Club and Pink Lady!
So many great cocktails packed into one short episode!
I was looking for a single serve hot buttered rum recipe and yours is right up my alley.
I made it, used Denizen Merchant Reserve and to be honest it's like a giant buttery hug.
Hey, did you use unsalted butter?
@@TheFrankSorensen sorry I didn't see this I used salted but I imagine that unsalted with a pinch of salt would be just as good.
Thank you Anders!
I sure wish I had watched this video before I stumbled upon that egg on the side of the road. Great video! Will definitely be trying some of these
Always fantastic! I'd like a Ginger-ale recipe perhaps. Maybe it's a Canadian thing, but usually every Xmas party has ginger-ale everywhere! Cheers!
I didn't know that about Canada - sorry to not include one! Thanks, Danny!
that egg drink sounds amazing
These have to be The most Odd Cocktails ive come across today.. i dont think id like an egg in my drink but the last one with the butter actually sounds amazing.

Immediately went and made a rum flip and it was amazing. Wandered over from HTD and Educated Barfly. Thanks for the great content!

These look great Andres. I like the new space and of course the plaid!!!!
These are great cocktails Anders. The single-portion Hot Buttered Rum is in my near future!
Anders, great video. I really like how you show each step.
Hey Anders thanks for another awsome video. Loved it, like every time👍👍😁 Really good balance of ingredients. Had a good time. have a good day.
Thank you so much, Soumyadip! Appreciate you watching, and happy you're liking the videos. Cheers to you!
