I laughed watching this because I remember 21 years ago when I started dating my Filipina wife she also didn't like expensive meals at all and eventually only liked home-cooked meals so that's what we eat, and I'm the main cook LOL!!

Snails are no big deal in the Philippines. They can call it escargot in fine dining restaurants but any Filipino would recognize it as sea snail, my all time favorite.
Also, fish roe is available in our public market everyday. It's not from sturgeon nor do they call it caviar but it's definitely fish roe - and we cook it fried with onion and garlic. It's yummy.😁

I had dinner in makati cpl years ago. "Filling station bar", brilliant 50s style, great atmosphere. 3076p then for two people, she was shocked, and yes i had the steak. Many great nights there.
After watching your video arriving, I went to their web site and was really amazed at the resort Bespoke Offerings. They presented you some of the best from their menu and it looked simply delicious. I glanced at all their menus including the Vintana. The A5 Grade Wagyi Beef Striploin 600 Gr would make a lovely sharable meal for the wife & I if we could ever make it there ourselves. Thank you for taking us along, They ought to let you stay free for all the visibility you are giving them! :-)
Nice :-) Here in Singapore you would only get a few drinks for that amount, prices are all relative. You're paying Shangri-la prices, but Philippine-level. Funny how Tim is as much a virgin at this table, never seen a prawn cracker before, std fare in many Thai places :-)

After being in the jungle for a long time I got back to the Hilton and ordered a hamburger.. of course it had to he culinary and they put a shitload of wasabi on the burger... not what you looking for after a long time in the Jungle. :-) When you bring her over to the US its going to be hard, the taste of food and the amount is very different....

I know how she feels, I dislike the stuff and always thought wasabi was green, has been where I've seen it, until one Japanese meal came with this thick white mayonnaise looking stuff which I then proceeded to shove a decent amount in my mouth with the food. Holy crap! Wasabi can be white. I won't do that again!

He likes to highlight the girls' lack of experience, but then mispronounces quinoa and fails to identify a prawn cracker, not to mention calling the resort shan grila and not shangri la. Every day is a learning day. Try not to humiliate the girls Tim please. I don't think you know that you're doing it at times.
Wow Tim the last time we spent $100.00 on a meal in the Phil's was our last night with family before leaving back to San Francisco on PAL and that was for 16 people🤣 My wife and I really enjoy your videos because in a way it takes us back to her home and a place I really enjoy going to. Tim, my wife and I went to the Shangri-La for our honeymoon. After extreme sticker shock from our dinner we decided from that point on we would go into town and pick up food for the day. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I’ve ever had. The resort in the beaches are untouchable at the Shangri-La. I would recommend taking a tricycle to station 2 . Ask him where the D mall is. there’s an Italian restaurant beachfront that has some of the best pesto ravioli I ever had. It’s called Aria
