I kept waiting for the real test of both products.
Your thorough information is well appreciated
Terrific explanation. Thank you
Thanks for this! For a while I thought both Surfine and Pommadier were the same function!
Thanks you kindly! Much appreciated
Your upcoming shell cordovan video could not come sooner. I just purchased my first pair, and old J&M loafer. I saw on another video of yours how you used sand paper; I'm trying to work myself up to that lol. I really hope your video covers all the ins and outs. Can't wait!
great overview man, keep it up
This is so helpful. Thanks
Will the Crème Surfine 02 Neutral be suitable for a light shine on black leather shoes?
Very informative video. I’m here learning about leather care to restore some of my favorite handbags. Color matching is😊 important to me. Can these cremes be mixed to get the right shade? Also how do the silver and gold shades look on leather?
hi
Nice and informative. I was wondering the difference between the surfine & pommadier and could only find your video. Just to know can i start with neutral cream and wax and then move on to getting in to colours. Please advise. Thanks.
So I’m taking it I can’t use this one cxl?
Does Saphir Pommadier Cream have a strong pine oil smell? Thanks.
Not strong but there is definitely a light pine smell
5:25 Is it desirable for the turpentine to breakdown the original dye pigment of the shoe? Sounds like a loss of the original color. If someone uses this cream every other week on the same pair, would that be detrimental?
Not at all. There isn’t enough turpentine to breakdown really do much damage and most solvents evaporate to quickly. Only way it will really remove color is do to scrubbing and the small amount of the turpentine.
So..... what is the difference?
After listening to your clip. I am a subscriber of Elegant Oxford i do watch his videos on TH-cam on how to take care of shoes using SAPHIR PRODUCT. Elegant Oxford said (SAPHIR RENOVATEUR) is so good that it can be used on (SHELL CORDOVAN SHOES) from what i heard in this video you go against it. What is your thought?
For shell Cordovan the Saphir renovateur is great to condition for sure. However if you need to restore color, shine or add some waterproofing safely Saphir makes a product specifically or that. Shell Cordovan is a membrane so you shouldn’t use anything that has a solvent in it
@@CobblersPlus Thanks for your response.
