- Found this hiding in ACV as map m0400
There is concept art of this area in the FACT art book. This is a google translation of the description on that page:
"A mysterious facility where only video materials have been discovered. It appears to be an underground facility with a vast area and built quite deep. Since the machines visible inside the facility are unknown, it is assumed that the facility was built in the past."
RPCS3 has some visual bugs with ACV so there is some texture popping - เกม

Man imagine if we actually had this playable back then, all the lore and stuff that we could've gotten. They could've expanded whatever that was left in the towers with VD as well. Things might have leaned back to some old-gen bonus content.

That's some oldgen Armored Core level design right there. Probably the inside of the facility we visit during the campaign? The one located in the wasteland area of the "world map"

I wish we got more support for ACV, i miss the sound design. Everything felt so heavy. Seeing this just makes me wonder what FromSoftware couldve done had they have continued support for this. I know the team has been wanting to work on Armored Core for the longest time. Which is why i was hyped for 6. I still play the shit out of it.
I just miss that multiplayer that we had on V and Verdict Day where we had territories and such. Clan wars were fucking awesome.

This stage was Rejected in V, retook in 6 I guess.

The fact there are working enemies everywhere makes me think this is a cut mission that didn't make it in time for game's release.

the level design doesn't complement gen 5 movement well, that's prob why they scrap it

@@FireGiantFoot this. Remember that 5th Gen have a big leaning towards co-op. When 1 AC already have a tough time fitting through the passage & rooms, imagine a whole squad lol.
@@FireGiantFoot Yeah that most likely why and it’s also what Zorain said too. PS3/Xbox 360 already had some frame rate issues with V. This would make it explode lol.

Traveling through countless tunnels, getting lost and turned around, unable to reach the outside world. Leaving Walter unable to contact you. Only enemies around are what could be considered natural. The meal worms and small occasional Coral bursts that makes you panic as your health drops. Only to end up in a sorta liminal space, clean reflective floors, no dust in sight yet these cold halls are clean but dark. Left guiding along by faint lights. Slowly inching within the clean corpse of a Rubicon Research Institute lab. Moving across abandoned assembly lines of their mass-produced MTs and ATs, left at their mercy as some break the silence, bursting from the lines to break you.
5th gen and 4th gen each deserve so much love, they’re too damn cool to only have 1.5 games each

I got VD running fine but I can't even get past the opening mission in ACV
I figured out how to solve the crashing issue with V as well. It's the same concept as VD but needs a couple more files. We're working on finalizing an emulator pack or an add-on to the existing pack for V over in the discord

we've got a pre-made emu pack for VD right now and I am currently working on a solution for V which will be done soon. V on RPCS3 has some serious visual bugs which you could see in the video but VD isn't as bad and runs well if you have relatively strong modern PC hardware

feels like a lead up to what the inside of the towers looks like. Can only imagine what they could've had planned to be in these places, aside from NEXT level weaponry and things that'd make the Geneva Convention seem like a joke
That last room at the end is absolutely a boss fight area, but some RAM hacking might be required to see if it has any collision inside.
I bet the reason you're standing on air is because you're actually standing on what's supposed to be inaccessible due to a cutscene trigger volume, and on the other side the chamber's got a roof or so.
There is an unused boss enemy referenced in the map files but not actually placed in the map. It looks like a mini Exusia maybe? I'm going to try and load it into another map to see if it works.

This definitely looks like a final or penultimate level from previous games.
This is one of the coolest looking areas. It probably connected this to the other games in the series story wise.

kinda weird ACV works with RPCS3 while ACVD can't use LLVM and thus has painful speed of interpreter. Too bad I couldn't buy ACV, only managed to buy ACFA ACVD..

So when does restoring this mission become viable? This level must of been cut super later considering it looks 85% finished.
We need to solve the m040.evd file which is mission event script. The mission just fails due to "defenses compromised" at the start so we will need to edit the mission script fail state or something to proceed. I used the AC test evd file for this video, since there is no fail state, you can just go. I don't think anyone has done any work on the AC versions of these files. All the soulsborne versions are solved but I am not a programmer so idk how difficult of a task this will be.

So my theory that first gen and fifth gen take place at the same time was correct. Epic!
