@@zachoshark Handler Walter: "Once we get that Coral, you will have enough money to buy your life back." This is in the intro/1st mission. So the process of Human+ project, where you get reduced to nothing more than a brain in a giant mech seems reversible. Not to fulfill the things a brain typically enjoyed or needes to live sounds like an endless process of constant pain, suffering, and, in general, agony. At least basically becoming coral, you dont need to really worry about such things as you are moreso something that doesn't have or need material possessions to live. While it could sound like the same thing, you dont have a brain really or physical connection to the world telling you or forcing you to do things. You can basically do whatever you want and enjoy whatever you want. While at the moment, you can only really take over the gundam/AC unit bodies. I feel that with the number of mechs available and the likely ability to control systems to make more, or make different ones, staying as such won't last forever. If anything, I can forsee them making synthetic human bodies, which obviously function off their coral being... or what I guess is their soul/life-force? Not sure what Coral is still entirely, I just know it's a collection of peoples very beings, minds intertwined, or separated. Since some seem far more intertwined with the coral than they can handle, and others are basically unaffected by it. Also makes me wonder then if you are a brain in a jar in a mech... or if Coral then is basically what it looks like when someone mashes a brain into pulp, puts it in a container and then places it into a mech, could also explain as to why some people seem stupidly insane, have a few bolts loose, or why that one guy was always tired. Probably was so tired since the mech wouldn't allow him to sleep as it's basically impossible to sleep when you're a literal giant tin can.
It's been a long time since I last played the Armored Core series back in the PSX/PS1 and PS2 eras. A true hardcore mecha game, only made more so by this latest installation. Front Mission series was another, but its turn based system may turn some fans off.

@declicitous1763 We get to see what it could look like as an old model of it was far more sleek and built up, had 3 mining lasers rather than just the one, and had far more firepower. The one we do see is run down, tattered, barely functioning outside of movement, and a single mining laser and some small gun batteries. While being rusted beyond recognition of its former glory and faded beyond readability. Not only that, but patches of armor and segments either missing or wiring losely hanging. It all just points to them likely just not bothering to do so, I mean, they are a colossal mining rig, its hard to believe they didn't at least have the capabilities somewhere or somehow work on it. After all, its old assembly yard has to be somewhere, and why they simply didn't go back after sustaining damages or the like at any point is strange if such is still around. Just all round seems like sheer incompetence or actual fanatical belief that they could not be defeated in that thing. Such as the thought of "its too big to fail."
@@bibby659 you have good points, but the briefing for the defend it mission (where it blows up anyway lmao) shows that the strider itself cost a fortune to make and considering that the RLF use similar tactics to the corporations as stated by Michigan by hiring independents like Raven, it shows they have a similar or affordable budget for their war effort, meaning that the strider being a fortune to make shows how ultimately expensive it would be to maintain at an optimal level of power
@declicitous1763 Understandable, never played the game, just a fan of its boss fights and videos showing such.
