Dude... I don't know about the pedal being a powerhouse, but you my man just decimated that demo track! POWERHOUSE! I've said it many times, but as soon as live music returns, you need to be on the Generation Axe or G3 or some kind of tour where you can take your proper place on the mantle with the likes of Gilbert, Abasi, Morse, Vai, Nuno, et al... I am there for that show when it happens.
I come here for your original tracks at the start of each review which always blow me away, then I stay for the review because of how passionately you talk about the different aspects.
Thank you ALL pedal makers, without you this channel would probably not exist. I really can't think of any other artist who is technical enough to demonstrate every little unique characteristic and feature yet have the articulate abilities of a professor to explain them. Mr. Thorn you are special!
My personal favorite PT Demo ever ha ha. They're all good. Just The Knaggs into the N5+ hit the spot. You were feeling Extra Saucy. Bells and Whistles+.\m/-
The gear info is interesting but I subscribed mainly to hear the fantastic playing and arrangements. I never tire of hearing this guy play. He's just in a league of his own.
I gotta say, you present the most useful demos I've seen, I always come away with feeling like I know what the pedal is capable of, good or bad. Most other presenters are amateurish, self-absorbed, or one-dimensional.
Dude...killer tune love the end of that solo reminds me of the end of Dime's solo in "the sleep" check it..that bend is damn close. guess that's why i dig it. I love Dime! You have a great feel/soul to your playing. love it!
PETE! Wu is releasing a successor to this N5+, and what it says on Facebook it will be a bit of a nod to EVH -"The successor of N5+ is the first model produced in the Sinvertek Laboratory. This model is a limited version in memory of Wu's favorite guitar master Eddie Van Halen." So I am sure we are all we all hoping that you get one soon to do the review. Maybe contact Wu? Ultra stoked to hear you do a vid on it. Oh, Scream Honey people, they are finally making more and invoicing the folks on the waiting list. I was finally invoiced two weeks ago and have paid, so the Scream Honey ships this week. been waiting springtime and here we are in October. I hope the invoice for the new version of the N5+ will come soon.
Sinvertek don't get enough respect. The delay ("Flux/Fluid Time" I think is the name) amazing. Their OG No.5 Distortion is amazing. High-gain distortion isn't really my thing (unless you count Fuzz/Muffs) but I'd use this for sure. Great demo, Pete.
Damn those are some great tones you got from this box! This is the definition of 'amplike' Also love the playing of yours Pete, amazing stuff as always. THAT SPARKLE KNAGGS THOOO
Can't believe that Jerry Cantrell had to push the record company to release "Man In The Box" as the first single. Who the hell couldn't hear that that was the hit that would instantly put them on the map?!
I never really noticed before Pete and as you have your own Style. I noticed with this Metal /Shred style you have a very George Lynch like playing style ! I'm a Lynch Disciple so playing similar to George can never be a Bad thing LOL Great Demo Thanks !!
Great vid n playing! But i'm curious to know your opinion on the differences and similarities compared to the No.5/N5. Aside from the programmable gain n vol boost, are they at core the same, tonally? And/or is the N5+ that much more of a refined and tweakable version of the standard No.5/N5? And if you have to choose one, which would it be?
Lovely playing as always and love your videos! You mention that this pedal is designed to go into the front of a clean amp... which makes sense, but was curious if you feel other overdrives can possibly stack well with the Sinvertek?
I have the 1st version which I imagine is very similar in basic ( xlnt ) construction/design - The only pedal I put in front of it is a compressor, ( set super light btw ), as this pedal, imo, doesn't really like Being pushed by another overdrive ( no need ), But, put something like a boost, or low gain OD, After it, that's where it's at, especially playing live. I know you asked Pete Thorn this question, but I felt compelled to chime in.
I have built a few of my own pedals. What is insane to me is how a normal sized pedal can fit into it's housing all these POTS AND SWITCHES. The age of MICRO technologies is here. You will probably need a microscope to analyze the circuit.
Sinvertek prices are totally reasonable. Props to them for not going for the massive mark-up like some brands that will remain nameless... *cough* jhs *splutter* )
Sounds really good. But, while the normal eq is quite sensitive and really makes a difference, the switches mostly did next to nothing. very very slight differences, that most prolly would be achieved with the nornmal eq. But thats my opinion ofc.
You would probably notice more difference in person - but I agree they are subtle. But so are many voicing switches on amplifiers when I think about let’s say the Fat or C45 switches on a Friedman, They don’t change the sound night and day it’s more subtle tweaking
So off-topic question Pete: I see you have both a Fryette Power Station and a Suhr Reactive load back there. Don't they do the same thing? It looks like only the Suhr is active during the video. Is the Suhr better? Do you still use the Power Station? As a home recording guitar player, I'm curious if I should look into either of those or if I should go for the Two Notes Captor X. Any thoughts, sir?
Look dude ..... you're just plain TOO GOOD. You HAVE to tone it down and re-enter the world of NORMAL people with guitars .... okay ????? I'm serious now ..... repeat after me: "I WILL try to be more normal ..... I WILL try to be more normal .....". See ? That's not difficult. Believe me, you will be happier once you realize that more people out here can put their eyeballs back into their heads. Much thanks. APAN (Amateurs Players ANonomous)
I tried to write something heavy without downturning, after hearing Ola mention he respects bands that can write heavy stuff without resorting to downturning... so it was an experiment ha

Thank you man :)
You just describe Pete and his skills perfectly. 🎸
This. 100%. Totally agree.
Yep ...agreed ,Pete is ripping it up!!!
Definitely.
full metal Pete bursting out of the ordinary, i love it.
I come here for your original tracks at the start of each review which always blow me away, then I stay for the review because of how passionately you talk about the different aspects.
Love all your stuff, Pete. Especially when you throw in those fast, smooth legato runs.
Thank you ALL pedal makers, without you this channel would probably not exist. I really can't think of any other artist who is technical enough to demonstrate every little unique characteristic and feature yet have the articulate abilities of a professor to explain them. Mr. Thorn you are special!
Loved hearing you play the '-In a Box' demo riff, perfect riff for an 'amp-in-a-box'!
Talk about hitting with the Hot Sauce!! Killer playing!!! Your demos just get better all the time!!
Thanks Pete sounds awesome. See you Sunday.
Not only are you a virtuoso guitar player, but also a sound and video expert I love the way you demo gear with the split screen and close ups.
The intro riff is killer. One of the best in your last months videos.
Damn dude, puttin' all those notes in the craftiest of places. Always fun watching you play.
My personal favorite PT Demo ever ha ha. They're all good. Just The Knaggs into the N5+ hit the spot. You were feeling Extra Saucy. Bells and Whistles+.\m/-

I don't know why anyone would dislike this.. Great demo Pete!
absolutely killer riffs
That track reminded me of Yngwie Malmsteen Rising Force! Nice🤘
Everything about this video was amazing - Great tune, sound, review and demo and all those awesome camera angles!
Really creative demo tune and loved hearing Man in the box Pete. Yes!
Awesome Demo Pete, really nice cool riffs too. This pedal is deffo my type of thing.
I gotta say, you present the most useful demos I've seen, I always come away with feeling like I know what the pedal is capable of, good or bad. Most other presenters are amateurish, self-absorbed, or one-dimensional.

You have a great feel/soul to your playing. love it!
Amazingly versatile pedal.
Love the guitar layering. Like a guitar army. 🦎
Your demos are always really cool and tasteful.
god......now ....torn between this one or the past model ......double frigg .......Thsnks Pete
Amazing playing, and guitar faces! Seems to be a lost art, singing what you play. The pedal is cool as well.
Awesome riffs. That man i. The box was a nice touch. 👍

Great demo, Pete.
que capo este chavón!!!!! increíble todo lo que sabe tocar, un músico super completo. You are a master Pete!!!!
Damn those are some great tones you got from this box!

Also love the playing of yours Pete, amazing stuff as always.
THAT SPARKLE KNAGGS THOOO
Great demo, Pete! I'm a HUGE fan of their CKK line of pedals and this also. They are great pedals. And, you're right, they are very nice.
Do you like their destruction drive pedal? is it good or should I go for the N5 drive.
@@alxdrksoul the CKK distortion pedals are amongst the very few I haven't tried. I have almost all the others.
That was some great riffing and solos and great tone!!!
Can't believe that Jerry Cantrell had to push the record company to release "Man In The Box" as the first single. Who the hell couldn't hear that that was the hit that would instantly put them on the map?!
Great playing Pete, awesome pedal with serious tone shaping features.Would be fun to put in front of my Boogie Lonestar!
That's such a killer riff Pete, Megadeth meets Paul Gilbert meets Dream Theater. I hope that ends on your next release ;)!
Awesome demo, Pete!
I'm quite interested how they managed to fit so much tweakability in such small pedal.
Great vid! Killer tones! Still waiting and hoping for a vid that includes the red Suhr, red Knaggs, and red Germino!!!
Ohhh so great amazing guitar playing
Awsome guitar.playing Pete , it sounded great . I noticed the phil X signature move @00:34 , he would be proud lol 🤘
Love the bend at 0:34!
That was so sick!
Dang, awesome song!

I want this pedal - just for the Endless Tone shaping. Can it Max out, as boosted-Plexi or get into Dual-Recto territory?
Lovely playing as always and love your videos!

Sounds like you had a microphonic tube in this one. Could be wrong, but you can hear something in the palm mutes at the knob turny bits.
Nice, I only know them for distributing ckk stuff. Might have to look closer at their pedals.
Very cool sounds, thanks for this video ;)
I have built a few of my own pedals. What is insane to me is how a normal sized pedal can fit into it's housing all these POTS AND SWITCHES. The age of MICRO technologies is here. You will probably need a microscope to analyze the circuit.
But how did they manage to fit a high-gain monster amp inside that pedal enclosure?? 😳😳 It’s alchemy!! 😱😱
Sounds very dream theatre ⚡️🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻👍
🤘🏽😆 AIC riffage was definitely a nice touch 👌🏽
I'm impressed! Very nice pedal, great variety of natural sounding amp distortion sounds. Is the Knaggs a new guitar?
I need some more of those Mid-Mids...😂🤣😂😎
Lol I bought the previous Dist #5 one month ago and it's killer!
Great video! I was waiting for this one! How would you compare it to a Friedman BE OD ?
wow, the Price is right on that. thought it would be a whole lot more.
Sinvertek prices are totally reasonable. Props to them for not going for the massive mark-up like some brands that will remain nameless... *cough* jhs *splutter* )

Killer!
Hearing some Friedman-isms in the leadwork.
Super merci

Is that Fortaleza I see hiding back there? Always a good choice! ¡Salud! It’s tequila time!
Do you still dig this pedal ? Thinking about this one.
3:49 that's rebel yell pickups!
Smokin!
Methinks Pete had Dream Theater on the brain when he came up with the riff here.
Always Fun Videos Than You Pete
I was thinking about getting a Revv G3 but then I saw this. Does anyone have any experience with these pedals or preference?
Not a big fan of the tones tbh (just me), but I'm curious about the Knaggs, don't think I've seen you use it before.
Knaggs Steve Stevens Signature. The Raygun on the headstock tells the tale.👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽
Fuckin awesome intro dude
Thank uuuu!

i do not know about the sound of the highs in this pedal for open chords/full chords..kind of fizzy and plastic
Not sure why I bother with the guitar anymore... great pedal, too 😀
Whoa! Phil X thievery at 5:12!!! :)
This was more METAL than anything the 20/30somethings could ever attempt. This had some old school flavah.
I tried to write something heavy without downturning, after hearing Ola mention he respects bands that can write heavy stuff without resorting to downturning... so it was an experiment ha
Pete Thorn, it sounded kinda « Megadethy » to me, in the best way 👌🏻
👌🏽👌🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Such a good player mr.thorn .. cek my video who want to know my set THORNBUCKER pickup set
You write megadeth songs better than megadeth does now.
:)
Pete Damian Thorn 666
I heard sound of the legend mt2 but fatter...
