I KNOW THIS IS GOING TO SOUND CRAZY, BUT IF HE WERE ALLOWED TO MOVE LIKE HE DID IN SOME OF THE EARLY EPISODES, HE WOULD HAVE BEEN EVEN BIGGER THAN HE TURNED OUT. HE COULD DANCE AND HAD A MIGHTY CHARISMA, EVEN IN HIS MID TEENS. I THINK OZZIE HAD A HAND IN KEEPING HIM LOW KEY. EVEN SO, WHEN I LISTEN TO HIS RECORDINGS THAT HE DID IN 57', I CONTINUE TO BE IN AWE OF HIS MATURE COMMAND OF HIS VOICE. IT'S DOING EXACTLY WHAT HE'S TELLING IT TO DO. SO REAL, SO HONEST AND SO PURE. RICKY NELSON.
I've been a big fan of his sons but have only recently started listening to Ricky. I may get laughed at for the music I listen to but to me this IS music. Not the stuff we have now.
I grew up watching Ozzie & Harriett... Everytime I watch these videos of Ricky Nelson I just get cold chills.......he was so totally AWESOME .... I don't think there will ever be a better looking guy than Ricky Nelson was back then.....
Merci pour ce partage en live On peut ainsi apprécier Ricky en train de sanser puis de chanter tout en jouant de la guitare Je suis tres sensible a sa voix que j'adore A écouter sans modération RIP Ricky Nelson
ricky nelson was so talented and good looking younger and older never saw him dance before he was good love this video its a shame hes gone now what a waste thanks jms1943 for posting
Rick was definitely talented, he could sing, play guitar, paino and clarinet. He was the most hamsome and older gorgeous! There is in my opinion no more handsome guys like today in the music community. In 81they named one of the ten sexiest guys in the country!!!!! So sad he was taken so young!l he had so much more to offer! Harriet and Dave and his children would not have had to suffer so much!!! Well, they are all together now! All Rip!!!!!!!
Elvis was a huge Rick Nelson fan, and they became fast friends upon meeting one another. One has to have half a brain, to appreciate his understated rock 'n' roll. James Burton gets it. Just look at his sly grin. By this time Ricky was spending time, with the lovely and talented, Lorrie Collins. Time, well spent.
this is great, the vocals, at least seem to be live, and i can almost envision ozzie watching over this, now boys take it easy and dont rock it too hard,im not crazy about you doin this one rick, so just take it easy,ha
Anyone who is a big fan of Rick Nelson's should do them selves a favor and search for some of the Ozzie Nelson Band videos. Ozzie got down. He was no Lawrence Welk. And Harriet Hilliard was a fine singer.
May, Naughty '40 - BORN into BIGTIME $howBiz! Then, fer 33yrs from Rockin '52 WAY thru WAY too-soon BIG plane-CRA$H BIG Closeout Dec 31 '85!! Radio/TV/Trapeze/Movies/RocknRoll - HOT Rockin' HANDSOME Eric Hilliard Nelson!! The coolest HOT Cat who ever ROCKED!!!
Kristi Simonon that's right. I remember Mom putting that stuff in my hair and coming it. I was in kindergarten in 1960. I hated that stuff! For teens and young men by 1957 that was a pretty common look. The parents did get a bit perturbed when the sideburns grew and the hair reached the neck collar in 1957! LOL!
Elvis didn't patent the look. That hairstyle was popular in the 50's/early 60's. Guys have been slicking back their hair long before Elvis came around.
little ricky was smart enough go hire the jordinars back up when Elvis was drafted...smart move still love him in the day even though did not serve our country... Ozzie kept him out
this is a great version no doubt...but it had nowhere near the amount of energy that jerry Lee's did thats for sure.....not sayin that im knockin' Ricky's style cause he was one cool cat!
Yea of course he can. He face was virtually flawless. I'm a straight guy and I think so. I too have his face shape haha :) But I'm good looking too, although not as good looking as him (blue eyes... great lips etc.)
Havard Howell dude I just looked on your page and your 16! Dude you have to have the same personality as me...similar...your an old soul like me, that's how I was 4 years ago 0.0.
Ah yea, another out of thousands who were influenced-inspired by Elvis. He tells the story himself how he got tired of hearing his girlfriend constantly talk and gush about Elvis so he decided to learn to play guitar and sing to impress her.
No - Rick was known to Americans since he was a child on the tv show but he didn’t start singing til ‘57 a full year after Elvis had broken internationally. So Rick copied Elvis and all the other guys that came out of Sun Records…The tv show wasn’t even syndicated abroad so Rick was mainly known for being a singer, in Europe etc. rather than for being an actor.
Very young there, still developing his style. Much underrated.
The whole family is now in heaven.
R.I.P. Oswald Nelson, Harriet HIlliard Nelson, David Oswald Nelson, and most of all, Eric Hilliard Nelson.

Super talent, sad we lost Ricky.
That's got to be 1957, early Ricky !
Same here, I just love Ricky Nelson, he was so handsome and sexy, I wish he was still around
Jesus Christ any woman alive and most men can see that's an insanely hot man.
Sarah Nester yep too bad his kids don't resemble him at all.
Sarah Nester amen
@@topsypart2880 Sam, his youngest, looks like and sounds like him, but Eric, his illegitimate son, looks a lot like him.
I second that 🙋🏻♀️
@@topsypart2880 Sam does. Sounds like his father too

James Burton!
He’s painfully shy here-he eventually relaxed a lot more.
great scenes!
Extraordinario Ricky Nelson, sólo los seres de otros mundos trajeron esta rica música
Muito bom!! Awesome !!! would love meet him in that time...
En plus de sa voix magnifique, il danse comme un Dieu❤❤❤

He looks like Elvis but cuter.
Rosy Plain
I see him as Elvis’s long-lost-brother.
Way cuter.
damn man, he was a man. this is badass...

Ricky Rules:)
Elvis didn't patent the look. That hairstyle was popular in the 50's/early 60's. Guys have been slicking back their hair long before Elvis came around.
Elvis got this look from Tony Curtis whom he admired as an artist!
He was 17?
little ricky was smart enough go hire the jordinars back up when Elvis was drafted...smart move still love him in the day even though did not serve our country... Ozzie kept him out

Lol the only thing I have like rick is the face shape that's it...other than that better looking than me that's for sure and friends that Ik of.
I guess there was
It's actually Rickey
Hehehe
Ricky
Ok, but that way of looking at audience he brought from Elvis.
this version rocks more
than Jerry Lee.s..
Uh no. The opposite. But Rick very much had his own style and sound. In fact he and Elvis were very good friends...
i so agree with you!! but it would be is 6th child!!
Can someone tell me what ep the dancing scene is from?
Lol dude I'm only 20 years old and I already have low self esteem by his looks. I feel like he can get more girls than me 0.0
Yea of course he can. He face was virtually flawless. I'm a straight guy and I think so.
I too have his face shape haha :)

Dave S. Yeah I guess I am haha
amen.
What's with the Elvis open shirt and hair?
Elvis didn't start that. It was just a thing.
Ah yea, another out of thousands who were influenced-inspired by Elvis. He tells the story himself how he got tired of hearing his girlfriend constantly talk and gush about Elvis so he decided to learn to play guitar and sing to impress her.
Ricky is earlier than Elvis? Elvis copied Ricky style?
No - Rick was known to Americans since he was a child on the tv show but he didn’t start singing til ‘57 a full year after Elvis had broken internationally. So Rick copied Elvis and all the other guys that came out of Sun Records…The tv show wasn’t even syndicated abroad so Rick was mainly known for being a singer, in Europe etc. rather than for being an actor.
I always thought he had dead eyes.
NO!
Nada que ver con el asqueroso reggaetón.
Please laugh, He Looks Always grim and unfriendly.
No he doesn't
