Ever since the 3D printed NX controller “leak” from 2016 (the weird controller as the screen model), I’m a bit skeptical that this could just be another fake 3D print.
Agree on it being just another switch. I thought there might be a few more “what is that?” hardware features especially after some of the rumours. But tbh, the extra usb c is practical.
My biggest concern for switch 2 is that it will require a proprietary nintendo cable for docking like the current one. If it cant use the same usb c dock as my steam deck i just wont ever use it I only have so many HDMI ports if it cant work with my steam deck usb c hub it will be a dealbreaker for me
I really like the magnetic joy cons because i have a real problem of the rails always thinking they arnt fully attached when they are and I literally cant play handheld because of it so this will hopefully resolve that issue.

nintendo consoles are compelling ONLY when there's both quality and quantity in terms of exclusives. for literally everything else, there's windows/steam.
It’s most likely fake due to how identical it looks to the OLED Switch. It’s so identical that even general audiences probably wouldn’t be able to tell the difference and I highly doubt Nintendo would have waited +7 years to release a brand new console that isn’t any ergonomically better than their last product.
@@randallbro6749 IF true, then this “prototype” is either less ergonomic or about the same as the original switch released seven years ago. That’s a problem.
It's a PS4 equivalent in handheld before dlss and a PS4 pro in docked before dlss and has far more modern architecture. It's gonna blow people's socks off 😂
Good your feeling better mate & this looks like not the final design of the Switch 2! I've read information about the hardware of this device that looks promising but I'm hoping that Nintendo will have a d-pad when the final hardware is shown to the whole world soon!!
I wonder if they will offer "Pro Joy Cons" that have a nicer, ergonomic shape to them? The main device won't come with them to keep marketing slim and sleek, but if you really care about comfort, you can buy those. On the same note, I wonder if those Joy Cons would have beefier joy sticks as well? I'd love that option. I did find my the original comfortable to play with, but with the explosion of handheld in the last few years, there are definitely way more comfortable handsets around now.
You know its real because its so disappointing. Its the exact same system again, doesn't even look different. Probably still has digital triggers, probably still has the same OS.
There was a really disappointing leak for the first switch that turned out to be 100% fake and had everyone convinced. It could just be a lack of imagination. You're probably right, and it's safest to assume that it's just a performance upgrade, but it's not given.
I don’t think the switch with joycons is meant to be comfortable unless you have small hands or you’re a child. That’s why I use the split pad pro. Super great.
Turns out (to nobody with a brain's surprise) that those leaked images are indeed....fake lol. Some Chinese 3D printer enthusiast made them for attention. He has deleted the pictures now. While some of what he made might be similar to what those who actually know what the system looks like, that was just him taking the crumbs we have been hearing about and manifesting that into a 3D printed model lol.
@@ItApproaches you're a noob. The protoype is from the end of 2023, the motherboard is legit, it's 99% exactly what we're gonna see in the final product.
0% chance for november or december reveal. Anywhere between now and end of october is all we got for 2024 reveal, and if it is NOT revealed within 2024, then the next console releases in March 2026.
If these r true my only let down is the ergonomics. I thought they would make the joy cons more comfortable. Hopefully they at least sell first-party, ergonomic joy cons separately
Seems like a Wii U situation... Looks exactly the same and with little to no name change. Will people who are not gamers be able to know its a new product and not just a new updated version of the Switch (which it is) compared to Switchlite...
VGC is corroborating the leaks with dev info they've heard from devs who did meet with nintendo in private months ago, that announcement showcase is so close you can almost taste it. Nintendo can't sit silent forever once news sites flood the web, but who knows. They play by their own rules.
The form factor to me is a bit dissapointing, like yes i expected the concept to be the same but the deminsions are soo simular. Like xbox and playstation are going to essentially going to have boxes every year but those boxes design are very different. In the grand scheme of things its all about the function and games anyway so once games are shown we'll all be blown away.
IMO it’s irrelevant. The leaks might be true, but there’s no way Nintendo is announcing it this month. I think they’ll announce it in Jan and release March-April. Their software line up for the rest of the year is very telling.
The switch 2 will produce better graphics than the ps4 docked and unlocked. It'll have more ram for games. Plus newer technology like Ray tracing and AI upscalling. It'll be more powerful how the base switch was over the 360 and ps3 and run current games. Although I think with diminishing returns and modern upscalling ect. Might not notice as much difference between switch 2 and ps5 as you did with switch and ps4.
I have no idea how anyone games for long hours with joycons but maybe it’s a hand size thing. Or people that don’t care how bad the joysticks feel. Split pad pro is great.
There are a lot of people who play portably. I personally don’t as I said in the video, but yes plenty of people do. Think about those who play on a Switch Lite? Or heck, my wife only plays hers portably. It’s what the console was designed to do.
Way 2 similar, i call fake. Didnt fixed much if any of the complaints. I agree the system is not comfortable and neither looks this one. Have we ever seen an Nintendo console leak that turned out to be real?
Seeing your videos & the others are up tells us Nintendo hasn't acknowledged its real. Also, one can edit it fake if they have to say the documents of the OG Switch they can just make it larger & tweak things around to make it different. Those past rumors about the joycons, etc, could have easily put out 1st & then when the renders are done, the same person would up load it & then have us go crazy on how its real 😂. We have to go by how the fake NX was put together 😂. Well, one day, we will have Switch 2, but for now, i gotta go beat MP1 remaster as I've yet to open it due to the large backlog.

They are real, I think the design is extremely boring and un original, that gives it credibility, I can totally see nintendo releasing a console like that, also the name, Switch 2, I can totally see Nintendo doing that too.
I would be a little disappointed if there’s no new gimmicks or upgrades to the joycons. But if it’s very powerful then I’m fine with this. Nintendo games will look very impressive on switch 2
Nintendo has struck gold with the switch hybrid model. There's no need to have some new gimmick, really. Just improve from the first switch. With the amount of success like this, Nintendo is better off playing it safe and not risking screwing up like what happened with the Wii U
@@battlesofparadise exactly. All nintendo needs to make sure they don't do is mess up the name of the system. Other than that, the switch hybrid model is what they need to stick to
I don’t think it’s real. I also don’t think they will reveal it before the holidays and kill current switch sales. If they want to take the #1 spot from the Ps2 they need to continue strong sales through the holidays. If they reveal it before the holidays switch sales will drop off a cliff.
STOP WITH SAYING BULLSHIT. Agree it's fake, but the current Switch will NOT BE EFFECTED IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM WITH A SWITCH 2 REVEAL. The holiday sales are already locked in, the masses just don't know that info cause they're stupid and can't use logic and think.
Leaks aside, Nintendo revealing the Switch 2 now is not going to put a dent in their holiday sales at all. You have to keep in mind who is the target audience for these things. We are more invested gamers who keep up with this type of stuff. We already have one or more Switches at home. The average consumer is not like us. The Switch is 7 and a half years old. If you don’t have one by now, you’re probably not going to buy a Switch 2 at launch, and a Switch 2 reveal for a release in March or April is not going to suddenly make you change your holiday plans. Parents and relatives buying this for kids or the family at this point are clearly not invested enough to say “oh I’ll get the switch 2 at launch instead.” That’s us. The gamers. General consumers will buy these bundles as gifts for kids or to try out a switch after 7 years on the market(which clearly means they aren’t invested enough to be concerned with the Switch 2). Console and game sales will be fine and not really affected by things going on next year.
If someone is buying a switch in 2024 at the very end of its life cycle then they’re obviously not gonna be a day 1, switch 2 buyer. If they are, I’m confused how that’s a bad thing, wouldn’t they want more people buying the newer console anyways?
I don't believe it. This is wayyy too boring for Nintendo. It looks like an early iphone lol 🤷 and it has all the same exact buttons as the first switch. No way
The images have since been deleted, and Tom Warren said on Twitter that the source is a Chinese 3D printing and reverse-design enthusiast. so sorry to say, but those images were fake.
IF this leak turns out to be the real deal, my wish is for the top USB C port to be Thunderbolt, so we can connect a dedicated GPU to it. Just imagine being able to plug a 4080 or whatever card you have and play Metroid Prime 4 with amazing visuals and frames.. wet dreams lol
What kind of gimick do you want? An integrated mixer for cooking and baking minigames for the next Zelda and Mario Party ? No Big changes besides more power would actually bé fine, and the exclusives would greatly benefit from a graphical upgrade
Yeah sometimes it gets that way and my camera reacts to it. I’ve tried to fix it and can’t find the perfect balance that prevents the occasional blowout. For some reason in this video it was really bad and I can’t explain it. Oh well lol.
I think this is a controlled leak to hype it up and capitalize on the displeasure with the PS5 Pro, since the official announcement won't come until after the holidays.
Reasons it's not real: There's no reason someone would have access to cad models for both full assembly and separate components but not also be able to share exploded view and other smaller components (innards, buttons). Reasons it IS real: Everyone in the media seems to be assuming it's real, implying that they have some information that allows them to internally confirm them as real.

@@SUPERVEGETTO92 the creator is a 3d printing enthusiast apparently. He based the design off of current rumors
@@hectormclean33 because you already own it
Zero source. It's a confirmed prototype.
Agree on it being just another switch. I thought there might be a few more “what is that?” hardware features especially after some of the rumours. But tbh, the extra usb c is practical.
I _want_ it to be just a bigger & better Switch, but I have no idea if this is real.
Your right. Not comfortable enough. I never use handheld mode. Always pro controller.❤
My biggest concern for switch 2 is that it will require a proprietary nintendo cable for docking like the current one. If it cant use the same usb c dock as my steam deck i just wont ever use it I only have so many HDMI ports if it cant work with my steam deck usb c hub it will be a dealbreaker for me
No analog triggers again would be a massive bummer
I really like the magnetic joy cons because i have a real problem of the rails always thinking they arnt fully attached when they are and I literally cant play handheld because of it so this will hopefully resolve that issue.
Sony - announcing an expensive pro console
Internet - 😡😡😡
Nintendo - announcing an overpriced weak hybrid console/handheld
Internet - *foaming at the mouth*
nintendo consoles are compelling ONLY when there's both quality and quantity in terms of exclusives.
for literally everything else, there's windows/steam.
To me it looks like another Switch, but I can't judge from something that might very likely be a hoax
I kinda did have the "oh yeah it would be this" feeling and it was funny hearing you talk about it 😂
It’s most likely fake due to how identical it looks to the OLED Switch. It’s so identical that even general audiences probably wouldn’t be able to tell the difference and I highly doubt Nintendo would have waited +7 years to release a brand new console that isn’t any ergonomically better than their last product.
What is the problem with the appearance? It's a prototype. Get over it.
@@randallbro6749 IF true, then this “prototype” is either less ergonomic or about the same as the original switch released seven years ago. That’s a problem.
That’s not Nintendo Switch that’s Nintendo Trade 😭
They won’t. Third parties probably eill
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Andy Robinson said it fits how the actual thing looks like.
@@RuuyG He doesn't know anything. It's already been confirmed to be 3D renders of an old prototype, it's fake. End of story, good day.
@@ItApproaches you're a noob. The protoype is from the end of 2023, the motherboard is legit, it's 99% exactly what we're gonna see in the final product.
@@RuuyG Lets test your confidence. I bet my life you're wrong. You want to match that? Loser dies?
Well, hey, if they turn out to be real, at least we haven't seen the dock!
I have a feeling Nintendo will show us the new system in beginning of December. Makes the most sense to me.
Why not share why it "makes sense" to you rather than just stating it, kind of useless
0% chance for november or december reveal.
Anywhere between now and end of october is all we got for 2024 reveal, and if it is NOT revealed within 2024, then the next console releases in March 2026.
Its not called Switch 2, its a Switch XL.
It better have an oled screen at least 1080 60fps.
I don't want to go back to the lcd screen.
If that's the real thing... yes, i'm disapointed, unless they bring back streetpass. Otherwise it just a more powerful switch 😩
If these r true my only let down is the ergonomics. I thought they would make the joy cons more comfortable. Hopefully they at least sell first-party, ergonomic joy cons separately
Seems like a Wii U situation... Looks exactly the same and with little to no name change. Will people who are not gamers be able to know its a new product and not just a new updated version of the Switch (which it is) compared to Switchlite...
this video made me realize i was only taking this as real because this leak pretty much confirms my cynical view of Nintendo of Now
No one believed the last leak from a factory. That turned out to be the Lite.
As a matter of fact I discuss that exact topic in the video…
VGC is corroborating the leaks with dev info they've heard from devs who did meet with nintendo in private months ago, that announcement showcase is so close you can almost taste it. Nintendo can't sit silent forever once news sites flood the web, but who knows. They play by their own rules.
They’re not corroborating the leak. The leak (fake) is a 3d model of all the rumors that have been around for months now.
I don’t believe cause the back buttons of the joy cons look too uncomfortable
These aren't buttons. This is a thing to detach the joycons.
Looks like no analog triggers again... Driving in games will suffer, again
flat that is the problem with the joy con
Get yourself moba hd joycons. Just got mine yesterday and wish I got them when they came out.
Oh boy, the schoopidi did leak it! Ok, let me see what your thoughts are on the matter. I waited the whole day for your vid on the leak.
It's a real prototype/dev unit
Go touch grass dude and take your switch when you go. And then sit on that greas and play portable. In nature. Botw.
IMO it’s irrelevant. The leaks might be true, but there’s no way Nintendo is announcing it this month. I think they’ll announce it in Jan and release March-April. Their software line up for the rest of the year is very telling.
I doubt it, 2 months of marketing? Way too little for a new gen console.
People still using joy cons in 2024? FFS get a grip controller. 😂
A grip controller? As in "traditional" controller? Aka OLDER controllers lol.
@@ItApproaches did I say traditional? No
Joy Cons no grip is better, but put the slide straps on to make the Joy Cons feel bigger
Great video, man. I personally hope it’s not real. I wanna see a bit more of a departure from the switch. I guess we’ll find out! Haha
I’m curious why you’d like to see that? Switch is the best selling console of all time behind ps2.
Sequel consoles do not work out for Nintendo ever, just make something entirely new which means NO SWITCH IN THE NAME WHATSOEVER TOO!!
@@MasterStacona tf no
These are so obviously fake. The model doesn't have any form of air instake
Metroid Prime 4K
My reaction, to the look of the Switch 2". Is exactly the same as yours.
That said.
The games Matter most.
Let's see that launch title, open world Mario
Images of the pcb are real. CAD designs are just based off the prototype. Nothing here is necessarily fake. Exciting times, hopefully nintendo just press the button so we don't have any more mass hysteria and can just move on to playing the games in our backlog waiting for the release lol
Unfortunately I still 3rd party games still not being day n date on switch 2z The console Is still, as expected, a gen behind the current consoles thus will take more iteration like the series S
Aah i guess we are the lucky dogs lmao
They are real, I think the design is extremely boring and un original, that gives it credibility, I can totally see nintendo releasing a console like that, also the name, Switch 2, I can totally see Nintendo doing that too.
The Logo n Dock Leakdd too
I would be a little disappointed if there’s no new gimmicks or upgrades to the joycons.
@@gotz1516 well said, plus Nintendo handhelds has always sold well
@@battlesofparadise exactly.
Exactly. Nintendo is still giving 100% attention to switch. This is their last holiday season and they’re aiming for some real high numbers
Everytime someone brings up this lame ass argument I feel like I’m loosing braincells
I think they might reveal it in October or next year atp😂 we never know
litterly ayone in the world could make a 3d render so i really really doubt if its real
fake
I don't believe it. This is wayyy too boring for Nintendo. It looks like an early iphone lol 🤷 and it has all the same exact buttons as the first switch. No way
The images have since been deleted, and Tom Warren said on Twitter that the source is a Chinese 3D printing and reverse-design enthusiast.
so sorry to say, but those images were fake.
The kick stand it not real suits not real?
No proper D pad😢
Good
@@jarde1989 how? Why?
I don't think this is real, if this was real, it's too same looking from the last switch design wise and it's kinda boring and lame if so..
There's no reason to buy this system if there's nothing new. It doesn't appear to have any exciting new features for unique gameplay
What kind of gimick do you want? An integrated mixer for cooking and baking minigames for the next Zelda and Mario Party ?

Yeah sometimes it gets that way and my camera reacts to it. I’ve tried to fix it and can’t find the perfect balance that prevents the occasional blowout. For some reason in this video it was really bad and I can’t explain it. Oh well lol.
Smoke and mirrors
I think this is a controlled leak to hype it up and capitalize on the displeasure with the PS5 Pro, since the official announcement won't come until after the holidays.
Reasons it's not real: There's no reason someone would have access to cad models for both full assembly and separate components but not also be able to share exploded view and other smaller components (innards, buttons).
Reasons it IS real: Everyone in the media seems to be assuming it's real, implying that they have some information that allows them to internally confirm them as real.
Okay genius, let them figure out how to make official accessories for launch and assume they know to assemble the thing once parts are produced.
Every one of these things have always been fake, the "real" ones was just someone getting lucky and it happened to be similar enough to the real thing.
Really? So the gta 6 trailer leak was confirmed fake aswell? Is that why Rockstar had to release it earlier? Dang I must be misremembering....!
If u fell for that fake nx your insane🤣
it was based on something that was officially real though
Boring..
Hope it doesn't look like that ... why everything has to be black/ white / grey nowadays ? I miss the fun colors from old Nintendo (gamecube purple color etc..). Make it fun Nintendo!!! No need to make it so serious amd boring...
**IF** these are even real they’re clearly just mockups. Too early to come to conclusions about colors and whatnot.
9:50 Nintendo better have a crystal clear marketing for the console, unless they dont want mothers and grandmothers of little Timmy, giving him a Switch, istead of Switch sucessor, due to the console having a nearly identical design to Switch, Nintendo let's avoid another Wii U situation, ok
16:30 nah that’s super funny that you believed that actually
Revisionist history. Tons of people fell for it at the time: fact. And more than that it has people questioning it and started a conversation. I only said that I believed it could be real at the time just like 99% of the internet.
