Beautiful Skin Starts With A Milk And Oatmeal Bubble Bath!

  • Today I'm making a special oatmeal & milk bubble bath that's great for your skin! There are lots of wonderful ingredients. The milk bubble bath was a success! It produced lots of sweet bubbles and rich vanilla foam. Plus, the water was very moisturizing and relaxing. And my skin felt softer and more moisturized. Most importantly, this bubble bath is a big time stress reducer! NOTE: this bubble bath recipe was formulated for thick lather, good foam, and a bit of light bubbling - not for lots of structured bubbles that lasts for hours. That’s a very different recipe.
    RECIPES:
    BOWL 1 (dry ingredients): 1/2 cup baking soda, 1/4 cup citric acid, 1/8 cup corn starch, 1 teaspoon sodium lauryl sulfoacetate (or sodium lauryl sulfate or sodium cocoyl isethionate), 1/2 + 1/8 cup milk powder (I used whole milk & coconut milk), 1/4 cup colloidal oatmeal, 1 tablespoon titanium dioxide (to make the water an opaque white, like milk), 1/8 cup clay (I used bentonite), 1/4 cup oats.
    BOWL 2 (fragrance): 1/4 cup natrasorb, 1/4 cup tapioca starch (or just use 1/2 cup tapioca starch, or a different starch). Weigh ingredients on a scale, then add 1/2 the weight in fragrance oil. Then mix in 1/2 cup salts (I used Epsom). Mix both bowls together & add 1 tablespoon cocoa butter chunks/pieces (small pieces only).
    *** If you don't have starch on Natrasorb, no problem! Simply add wet ingredients to dry, then let everything dry completely! Once everything is dry, add the salts & cocoa butter, then package.

    I actually make this but instead of titanium dioxide I use actual powder coconut milk or whatever other powder milk you want...also colloidal oatmeal instead of regular oatmeal (no chunks same result) no tea bags necessary :)

    If using the little cotton tea bags, when finished, throw them into the dryer and your clothes will get the benefit of what ever scent was used.

    Beautiful recipe; sounds so relaxing! May I ask where you got the fragrance oil(s); the scent sounds amazingly wonderful! Thank you so much!

    In the opening picture for this video is the bag on the left cheese cloth? That looks so pretty! Have you had any issues using this bag or cloth?

      Yes! Cheesecloth. No issues at all!

    Thank you for sharing this great recipe! If I may ask, could I substitute Bentonite for white Kaolin, arrow root for corn starch and goats milk instead of whole milk? I apologize for so many questions lol. I really would like to try and make this bath experience and trying to work with what I have on hand 😆

    • @CreativeBathLab
      @CreativeBathLab  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      ABSOLUTELY! Great question! If the recipe calls for a milk, starch, clay, etc. You can add any kind you want & it won’t affect the recipe at all!

    Thank you for the video! Would using the butters make the bath slippery? And is the titanium dioxide for coloring? Thank you

    • @CreativeBathLab
      @CreativeBathLab  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You’re very welcome. The butters will absolutely NOT make anything slippery, nor greasy! TD is for making water opaque & white (like milk)

    You mentioned that paper tea bags might rip or explode from pressure build up. What would cause the pressure to build up?

    • @CreativeBathLab
      @CreativeBathLab  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Anything that causes the bag to expand; this can be from reactions taking place & causing the contents to fizz & foam (& build pressure). Like baking soda & citric acid, slsa, etc. I’ve also had paper tea bags rip on me just sitting in a [dry] bowl. These particular paper tea bags contained salts, and salts are a humectant (draws in moisture from the air), so the salts ended up activating the baking soda & citric acid all by itself! The next morning I had tub tea everywhere... I looked closer & saw all the other tea bags bloated & about to burst as well.. I’m thinking this is when I switched to much stronger tea bags (& also revised my recipe) lol. Hope this helps!!!!

    Hi can i double the tapioca starch? I can't find the natrasorb and would love to try this, thanks in advance

    If I don't mind not having the foaming aspect of this mix, could I leave out the SLSA? My skin is super sensitive and I have to avoid it

    • @CreativeBathLab
