    Matt Bellamy is one of the greatest singer/guitarist/songwriters of his generation. The guy just oozes talent and makes it look so easy when doing it. I often hear you talk about stage presence. Watch literally any Muse concert and you'll be blown away by the amount of stage presence this guy has. He's amazing!!
    In your own time I'd recommend you listen to the Muse albums Origin of Symmetry and Absolution. Next level awesome albums. I think you'll really dig it!!

    Piece of advice: Muse are among the best live bands on the planet and most people prefer their live songs to the studio versions. If you’re interested in doing some more reactions to their stuff, I’d recommend checking out performances instead.

    Matt Bellamy is a master, love Muse. back in the day before they became a massive arena rock band I have great memories of seeing these guys with a crowd of 100 or so at a very small local club in Aus (around the showbiz album era)- me and a mate used to bootleg the shows with a portable minidisc player and a mic stuck to the peak of our hat. Still have these recording somewhere. Amazing shows.

    This reaction made my day. Thanks. Lamb of God used this riff 7 years later. Also 2 years later Dream Theater almost copied Stockholm Syndrome for the song Never Enough. As everyone said Muse live performances are phenomenal

    • @shawnthemagician
      @shawnthemagician 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I wouldn't say it was a near copy for Dream Theater
      That whole album was a dedication to a bunch of prog artists
      Never enough was a shout out to Muse. In particular, this song, which happened to be Mike Portnoys (dream theaters drummer) favorite song on the Absolution album
      In a world where so much music is recycled, I feel Dream Theater has more of an "inspired by" feel to it instead of a near copy
      Guess it's a matter of opinion really
      Love both of them so much haha

Now, a couple of tips to avoid getting blocked, Muse live is less likely to get blocked and sounds even better, second try to search for what others have reacted to, not saying to watch but see if that video/song exists on TH-cam. This riff always sounds familiar to me because it reminds me of an old NHL game from the late 90s. The title screen had a very similar sounding riff. Maybe NHL 98? Not entirely sure, but I've never been able to find it since to confirm haha.
    Also Muse's bassist is legitimately awesome, but this song is definitely one of his more simple bass lines. Off the top of my head Hysteria is probably the song that showcases his skills the most in my opinion.
