Thanks for taking the time to comment. Cabin filter and A/C were working perfectly. The problem lies with the heat/cool cycle of a glass roof and the lack of insulation which helps control this.
Hello, I have nissan qashqai +2 2014 and I have a problem wanting to lock the doors through the button in the door and this is not done. Can you do how to activate this feature
Hi Huw I have just bought a 3 year old 1.5 dci. When setting of in first gear I have noticed a dead point when coming of the clutch and applying the accelerator to the point where it feels like it is going to stall or over rev. have you noticed any issues with this my partner is having the same problem an other people have had a go and they have noticed this to. have you had any experience with this thanks laurie
Laurie Carefoot Hi Laurie, thanks for the comment. If it's what I think you describe it's turbo lag combined with the fly by wire throttle. Every turbo diesel I've had has exhibited this to a greater or lesser degree. Its especially noticeable when the engine revs have dropped to idle and the turbo is not providing any boost. Of all the turbo diesels I've had and driven, the Quashqai was not the worst (C4 Picasso was the worst). You get used to it and I drive around it now. My friends Avensis does this too and that is a petrol normally aspirated engine and it's all down to the fly by wire throttle.

I took it to my friend who is a mechanic and he pretty much said the same thing, that there appears to be no fault with the car and I probably just need to get used to it. In your oppinion do you think I should raise it with the dealer I purchased the car from while it is still under warranty or just give it some time to get used to it as I have only had it a week? Hi, thanks for the positive feedback, its really nice to know my effort is appreciated. I made the video firstly to test a cheap action camera, I never expected so may views! I'm not in the position to say wether you should raise your concerns with the dealer or not as i've not driven your Qashqai, but my advice, which applies to anyone, would be if you are not happy with a car bought from a dealer let them know sooner rather than later. The longer you leave it the trickier dealers can be.

Absolutely! I wonder if other cars with glass roof suffer as well? Personally I don't like glass roofs, when you are driving you don't use them and your passengers soon grow bored of looking up all the time.

Thanks for taking the time to comment. I don't have the car any longer so can't really be sure, my guess is that it is probably too narrow for a double mattress. In the version I had with the pano roof, sleeping in it would have led to lots of condensation though.
@@huwjones5879 yeah I watched your video, condensation probably made you get rid the whole car. I preferred hatchbacks whole my life but now I’m looking at suv so I can reach some secluded beaches and if the sunsets good and had too many beers I can sleep on the car. Thank you for your thoughts, looks like a good car so far...

nice car really, i have a '10 1.6 petrol 5 seats, my problem is the armrest, its lets say useless. its way far back, and you cant move it forward. i know its not that big deal, but still, nice video tho, I love mine will be with me for a few more years i hope

The car was a 2013 registration plate so I had been driving the car for 3 years. It's a genuine "long term" review, my observations are based on time spent actually living with the vehicle, not a couple of days or hours like some "reviews".

Hi, thanks for finding my video. I have to disagree about your remarks on the 1.5 turbo Diesel engine in the Qashqai. Yes, it’s a Renault engine but it’s smooth, has plenty of torque and gives very good fuel economy. I drove this car for 3 years as my daily driver and it never performed anything less that perfect. Nissan were saved from bankruptcy by Renault and many of the vehicles by both companies share platforms. I’ve been driving for 40 years, worked in the motor trade, and driven/worked on hundreds of cars during that time, and believe me this engine is a good one.
Huw Jones we are wonder car but you only driving and bla bla... TH-cam is a global video platform and watching everyone world citizen... You dont show the car inside and out side pictures. Only bla bla.. Got it? Sory bad english but thats all

Don’t blame your sunroof for the clearing your window… make sure your interior filter is not blocked and make sure your air-con valves works correctly

very true about de condensation i have a 2011 qashqai +2 and in the winter is not good if it comes to condensation

IMO they are useless, there is very limited leg room. You would really have to try them with your kids.
