I looked at both the Acadia AT4 and the Traverse Z71. To me, the Traverse was the much better looking vehicle and came with all the bells and whistles I wanted. So I bought one just 3 days ago. I really like it. The only thing that's weird is driving a vehicle that size and hearing a 4 cylinder engine. But it would be the same experience in the Acadia.

I do agree that the traverse has a better looking exterior, but the Acadia has more features inside. I live in a very hot country so ventilated seats are a must & the traverse doesn't have that 😢

I don't care for the red accents in the chevy

@@jimmyr1683 I completely agree. That’s why I got a red Traverse. That way it looks great and matches. But, for all other colours, the red accents look stupid.

I felt the same way up until I realized I like the Yukon design slightly more than the Tahoe so the Acadia is slowly winning me over even though the traverse is an awesome choice

Traverse does look better outside but can't do no HUD (hard to leave once you already had)

Engine engineering back . One of the perks of my job as an engineering project manager for big firm is driving client around.
i drove almost every SUV - truck in sedan imaginable, from foreign to American. From ultra luxury Rolls Royce , to a Bugatti, to a bare bone Toyota Camry and Ford Focus. and everything in between GMC Acadia is overall a good SUV but there’s one weakness. Average combined MPG of 21.4 is less than some light duty trucks like an F150 with Eco fuel, twin turbo v6. Other than that flaw that is a gas guzzler; it is a well-built SUV and quite big so perfect for large family. It’s just me, the wife navy bet

The GMC is a cleaner looking Mid Size SUV. The issue I have with the New 2024 GMC Acadia is as follows: No Need for Paddle Shifters on this vehicle. Replace the 2.5 Turbo engine with the 2.7 Turbo found in the GMC Canyon and Chevy Colorado pickup trucks.
This commonality between these models will simplify built and reduce component costs.
Allow an option for a 40/20/40 Bench Seating especially on the Non Denali trims. Finally reduce the size of wheels from 20 inch to 18 inch to improve ride comfort on rough roads.
I hope someone at GMC is reading these suggestions. I believe my suggestions will increase desirable of this vehicle.

Paddles are great for towing or off-road. The 2.7 won’t work with FWD architecture. Pretty sure the AT4 has 18” rims. I agree on the bench seat.

There’s “No Need” for A LOT of things in this interior which make it’s the premium SUV that it is, GMC is a premium brand. You people sound ridiculous instructing manufacturers what to do as if you know their customer base better than them. You do not.
The Colorado and Canyon rest upon RWD platforms. The Traverse, Acadia, & Enclave are on FWD platforms. What are the benefits of opting for the RWD 2.7L over the FWD 2.5t? Does the 2.7 achieve substantially better fuel economy? Does it make substantially more horsepower and that’s the complaint of the 2.5t, or are you concerned about achieving a quicker 0-60 number? None of these reasons are actual priorities of the GMC Acadia’s target buyer. Which part aren’t you ppl comprehending about this?
Decreasing wheel size options on a premium SUV won’t increase sales. You want to control what buyers options are instead of letting them choose what they want to upgrade to. The Acadia with the upgraded 22-inch wheels and upgraded suspension even has amazing ride quality. You’d be reducing wheel size options simply because you want to, not to improve comfort of the model.

Options are good as is but only the driver window being auto is annoying and it would be nice if the sunroof opens like the Telluride

Hard buttons for infotainment and lack of bench seat is a huge miss. Dont 5 member families off road? Why use 3rd row to put just 1 passenger there?

    Turbo engines
The majority of the driving public do not know enough about engines, turbos, cubic inches, torque and horsepower to care. Just like an air compressor, the higher the pressure you run it the shorter the life of the pump, a car engine is a pump. Turbos pressurize the engine to falsely make it put out more power and you have Turbo lag before it engages. The 4 cylinders lose power as they get more miles on them, there is no substitute for cubic inches, horsepower and torque in a naturally aspirated engine. I have built engines and turbo's boost the pressure into the small engines creating more power at the expense of the life of the engine. Your maintenance cost will exponentially increase with a turbo when it fails. Any economy you may have gotten from the turbo will be totally lost on the replacement cost of the turbo. This vehicle is way too large/heavy for a 4 cylinder. A long list of gadgets will not negate the lack of power from a 4 cylinder, not to mention the turbo lag when you need all the power from the small 4 cylinder. GM has lost this customer. We have a 2017 ACADIA V-6, 34 MPG highway.

Toyota's new architecture was just plain a*s. Kudos to GM and Chevy focusing on reliability and just refining a great product rather than just trying to be eco friendly tree hugger.

Suggestion...When doing the interior portion of your video, a nice feature would be to include the front seat width (not front hip room) measurements to include numbers with and without the bolsters. Many people have a problem with the typical, narrow dimensions of the front seat and also the up-angle of the bolster sides. Thanks.

Unfortunate that they tied this one to that green interior and that ugly red interior stuff on the Traverse as well as the 4 cylinder. Looks like both the Acadia and Traverse will be for people who can't afford the Yukon/Tahoe.

do Auto manufacturers ever make vehicles without that completely unnecessary panarmic sunroof. more glass just generates more heat and isnya cool looking as you think. should be optional, its just an added cost. and a costly repair for any problems that might occur _ including the broken glass. just saying. one more thing _ why cant the infotainment screen be integrated or blended into the dash in a better way. Instead of sticking out like a sore thumb. flowand fluidity help cabin deding sell a vehicle better. why cause it make itcseem like that screen actually belongs there and doesn't look like a kadt minute add-on.

Let me tell you something when you have an organization that sets up a course for you to go on to you that is not real off-road most of that power is going to go to the front wheels and some of it is going to go to the rear that is not real off road
