Take multiple photos of the old switch before you begin so that you can be certain to place the wires on the new switch on the correct terminals. Notice that two of the wires are coated in black, be certain that you are clear on which wire connects to which terminal. I would suggest that you watch the video multiple times. The instruction I missed was to gently lift the locking tab before turning the switch counterclockwise. I used a small flat edge screwdriver to get a good grip and leverage; and I did do so gently as instructed, and it worked. On my dryer, One of the connectors has two wires on it. Remove it from the old switch and reconnect it to the new switch the same as the other two connectors. Thank you for this wonderful video. This simple part replacement was economical and very satisfying!
Thank you! Checked my broken switch, lucky GE gave me an extra slot with spade on it to hook it up, I didn’t need to order another switch, it works now.
Thank you for your efforts in trying to show the repair, but without a close-up no one can possibly follow along. It is actually more frustrating than the actual issue! Again, I am sure you meant well and you didn't have to make an effort to help at all.
An absolutely great and helpful video. My Start Switch just fell off one day. Evidently, it got pushed aside and the inside part was partially broken. I fixed it but it only lasted a week. So I did it again and used strips of duct tape to secure it. If it happens again, I will use Sugru moldable glue which I found at Target. Mahalo.
First, I'm impressed by his professional appearance. Second, I don't think he could have made it any simpler. I believe I can fix mine, after watching this video, that is, of course, if I can find the right switch (my dryer is about 8 or 9 years old). Thanks PartSelect :-)
thank you sir for a great video you could not have explained it any better and shown how to fix the switch, I'm not a very good handy man but really didn't want to spend the money for a repair man to come out because it looked so simple but I could not figure it out until I watched your video. Again thank you so very much for your time
Two years later, I've found this video and feel the exact same way.... what the heck was he thinking.. Then the music is louder than his voice. LOL Thank you @MsDilly Reviews!!!!
The grey object that holds the knob seems to have disappeared after the knob came loose while turning to start. There is a gaping hole there now. Is there anyway I can find & fix it ,Or is it broken? Thanks

That was passive aggressive and unhelpful.

Hi, Just wondering if you have a video to replace a GE 7.8 cu electric dryer w/steam Model # GTDS825EDMC? BUTTON WON'T COME BACK OUT. THANK YOU
Thank you very much . This helped me fix the front panel
Ty so much for this video. Helped a whole bunch. Better explained than other vids. 😎
I think I can do this. Thank you for the video. Would be nice if it was zoomed in a bit. 🤷🤷

Same problem here did you figure it out I need help😭😭😭
You have to remove the panel to reach the switch. Take out screws to do that.
Can't see what you're doing.
Great video
Is it not possible to actually show us what he’s doing I might as well be reading about how to replace the switch
Wish the camera was closer so I can see what wires go were
2024 still relevant
Need to show more close up photos.
I wish I had eagle 🦅 eyes 👀
