This is my professor's story. Unfortunately, he was found dead in his condominium after a week of not attending classes due to a heart attack. The school was in mourning and contacted his family. It was not general knowledge that he had a twin. So when his twin arrived at the school, gaunt and morose, people got so frightened and thought that my professor came back as a ghost.

My favorite swap was during a play we were in during high school. The director had the brilliant idea to cast my twin as the good witch and me as the bad witch, whenever one of us left the stage the other would appear from the other side (with drastically different makeup and costume). It looked like magic to the kids who watched. At the end of the play, we would walk out together for our bow.
One of the chaperones at one of the shows gasped loudly and shouted: There's two of you!?!?
It wasn't the first play that took advantage of us being identical, but that seemed to get the best reactions.

I am an identical twin, and I played baseball my freshmen year of high school, and my coach was a really great guy. While walking in the hallways during school, we would say “hello” to each other. After a week, my coach started to stop greeting me in the hallway and would just stare at me. This goes on for 2 weeks until my coach walks up to me laughing.
He says how he had just found out that I had a twin, and that he would greet him in the hallway. When he did so, my twin would give the most blank and uncaring stare he could muster and keep walking right by. He did this the entire time without saying a word. My coach thought I was a complete asshole because of my twin.
I have cousins who are twins. They worked at same McDonald’s because their parents are owners of the place. One of them was at ordering/paying window and other one was other window. When the people drove up to 2nd window, they thought it was same kid from the first window. It was funny as hell.

My classmate Jay in college had an identical twin brother Mason who was in a different course at the same school which I didn't know at the time. This happened during the first few weeks of class.
I realized I had dropped my phone at an earlier lecture and went to go find it. Met Mason in an elevator and went "Ah, you're Jay right, good timing." and explained that I lost my phone and needed his help to call it when I reached the lecture hall.
He looked confused for a moment but quickly said, "Oh, I'm not Jay. I'm his twin brother Mason." Note that though we hadn't talked much, Jay was known for being a sassy, snarky and sarcastic little bitch so I went "Nice try Jay" and practically dragged him out of the elevator and to the lecture hall, which was practically next to it. I asked him to call it but he said he didn't have my number. I was confused since we all sent our number to form a glass group but didn't really question it since I was gonna be late for the next class and entered my number into his phone. Eventually I found it under the seat I had sat on previously.
I thanked him and said I owed him one and he said it wasn't a problem though I insisted before I headed off to my class and he went off to wherever he was headed. I saw Jay in class wearing a different shirt than I saw Mason earlier and my mind went into a mental gymnastics of how he walked in a completely different direction and reached class before me while wearing a different shirt before realising that he was telling the truth earlier. I confirmed with my classmates and Jay that he indeed had a twin. Imagine a strange girl you've never met before drags you away from whatever you were doing to go look for her phone and hands you her phone number. Not the most embarrassing thing I've done but oh well.
Later that day I got a text saying something along the lines of "Hard to owe someone if you don't have their number. Luckily you gave me yours. Let me know whenever you're free for dinner." And yeah, we ended up going out. Though none of it was really intentional, it was technically his win for using the opportunity.

I’m an identical twin. One time when we were in an airport, I went up to the desk to hand over my passport to the border security guard, I was let through. The guard turned his head to the side as I stumbled to take all my luggage through. Whilst walking through I turn around to see my twin brother get waved through, the guard thinking I had missed the cue to go through. So my brother didn’t get his passport checked and just walked straight through.

I had a similar experience. Was part of a group of eighth graders bused to the high school and back to take advanced math. In that math class, I sat next to this really nice freshman named Kath (short for Katherine, I later found out). Fast forward a year and I'm a freshman, walking into the drama club orientation meeting. I think I see Kath sitting in a seat near the front, but then she turns around, looks past me, and says "Hi, Kath!" I turn around too and my first thought was "omg there's two of them". That was the day I met Kath's equally nice identical twin sister Kim.

I'm not a twin, but my brother and I get mistaken for twins enough that we may as well be. (I'm a girl) so this was before puberty and we both had identical voices and were the same height, and my brother had a friend coming over. So we decided To switch places. I put on his clothes (with my hair stuck up in one of his hats). The kid gets to our house and I answer the door, he completely buys that it's my brother and we played for a while.
At some point my brother casually walked in and we watched for the reaction... completely worth it!!

I remember one of my friends have a twin brother. They’re complete opposites. The one I hang out with is nerdy, and kinda geeky. The other one is more popular and an outrovert and athletic. The athletic one broke his leg at recess but his soccer coach didn’t know and he knew he would be done because it was right before their finals. So he asked his twin brother to take his place for him in the final game and he did. Their team won but they both got in trouble for switching places because the coach noticed the birthmark wasn’t on his cheek. So lol they both got detention

For my story my sister and I went to different high schools for a while (I went to one that specialized in music and arts that was out of town and she went to our home school) and she needed to pass this one History Midterm test to stay on the Swim team so me being the history buff I am was like let’s just switch, I’ll pass the test so you can continue your weird athletics thing. Like the minimum grade mark that she needed was a 70 and she was at like a 65 so it was going to be simple for me to boost it up for her. It worked on my end of the deal, no one realized it was me and she ended up getting like a 90 on the test and got a 72 percent in the entire course but things were not so lucky on her end.
She made it through most of the day since I sat at the back of all my classes, went out alone for lunch and didn’t really talk or participate so all she had to do was sit and wait to give me everything to do for homework that night but I totally forgot that I wouldn’t be able to get to my music class in time so she sat there with my flute, in front of the 10 other “advanced” music kids that had to audition and write a test to get into that program and couldnt even set the flute up to make it look like she was me. When my teacher asked her what was wrong and why I wasn’t warming up her exact words were, “I believe its warm enough in here I don’t wanna contribute towards global warming”. Now luckily my music teacher thought it was hilarious that we made it all day without making other teachers notice and she got to learn how to conduct and read sheet music that day but my mother was not so impressed when she came home to see my sister in my uniform and me in some ripped jeans.

I remember having twins in my kindergarten through 3rd grade (same twins we're talking about here) and besides their awesome mom, only I within the whole class could tell them from a part. In 3rd grade they've decided to switch seats (they sat at a different table) and bet each other on how long it would take for someone to realize that they've switched. They both knew that I could tell so they begged me not to say anything and play along. Of course I ended up playing along. Throughout the whole school day, I was trying my hardest not to laugh. Nobody was even able to realize it until they both ended up revealing it to the class before we were walked to the buses. It's not the most exciting story to tell about twin stuff, but I'll always cherish it.

Me and my older brother had 2 classes that started at the same time that were right next to each other, and our teachers could only tell who's who by our shoes, glasses, bookbag, etc.
We decided to switch shoes and glasses in the restroom, and switched classes with every friend in that class about it except for the teachers!

I do look a lot like my younger brother, though obviously we aren't identical (unless my family has been hiding something from me /very/ well for the past 47 years!), but when we were infants, people did often ask my mum if we were twins (he is two years younger than me, note).
He is an excellent primary school teacher (these days he is vice-principal and only not principal because he doesn't want to ditch the classroom for a ton of paperwork). I am also trained as a teacher, but was rather rubbish at it (I can teach quite well, but am a crap classroom manager, and you have to be both!) .
A decade+ back, when I was desperate for work, I was day-subbing around the region wherever would have me and ended up at his school a few days (not on his class). Students soon decided that I must be related to Mr Brother (I had a different surname by then, so that link wasn't there, so kudos, kids!). I admitted I was, warning them that he was the evil sibling, so did they know what that made me?
The even-more-evil-sibling. (They were little kids. They thought it was funny. :-P )

My good friend in HS had a twin. I had known them both for years and was very good friends with one of them so I could tell them apart very easily. My friend was struggling with Algebra II but her sister was doing very well in all her math classes. This was back when 1/3 of your grade was the mid term, 1/3 was the weekly quiz's and 1/3 was the final so the final could make or break you.
Anyways, come final day in Algebra II my friend's sister walks into class. I was kinda confused but she looked at me, did the shush finger and then sat down. I then realized they were pulling a switch for the final exam. lol I really wished I had a sister that could take my Algebra final for me. Nobody said a word about it until our 30th reunion. I asked my friend about it and she looked shocked that I knew but they both admitted to it. They said that was the only time they cheated and that was just because my friend's grade was right on the line and failing the final meant delayed graduation and summer school. Luckily my friend passed. Well, someone did well on the Algebra II final. lol
I had not seen them for 10 or so years before the reunion and lost the ability to tell them apart. Kinda weird how that works.

My bestfriend has an identical twin. When we were in high school, they went to different schools. In junior year, they decided to switch places and agreed to each have an accomplice (I'm one of the two). They did it for a whole week and fooled everyone.

Not a twin but my best friend at the time looked like me one day at daycare we were sitting next to me as I see my stepdad walk in I look away I wasn’t ready to leave yet but my little step brother (he’s autist) came up to my best friend and started tapping her repeatedly saying my name she looks at me I look at him he looks at me and says oh hi are you her friend we both start dying and I explain to him that I’m his sister and got up and walked to my stepdad who was also laughing

I went to a middle school which had identical brothers teaching there. Even though one taught 7th grade the other taught 8th,I would get confused by them because they sometimes wear similar clothing and have played pranks on us students.
This was something my older twin sisters did but i helped
So one of my sisters lives in another state, while her twin lives with me and our parents. They both work at different costcos, so when my faraway sister came up for a week and came in to work by my closer sisters side, half the employees just dropped everything and stared at them for like 10 minutes while we shopped. Best reaction ever.

So my mom and her twin were just chatting while my cousins class was having a class and the class asked my mom if she wanted to be the room mom and my moms twin was just standing there shocked and my mom didn't know what to say because they look different but still get mistaken so if she said yes then they would notice the difference and she didn't want to be rude

As a twin, it’s one of the funniest things to mess with people.
When me & my twin Rylee went out with friends to the mall (our friends know that we’re twins), they also know that we’re extremely close- as in we would pull a full on Hikaru & Karu from OHSHC. So while we were out they brought a new friend, us being us decided it would be fun to mess with them. We got all lovy- dovey, etc. The look on her face was priceless, she was all red & would ask non-stop questions about it. While our friends we’re just being normal ( we tend to always be close like this, but not AS close).
