    A real shame fans never got to see 21.53 Elaine vs 21.41 Shericka in the 200m over the last 2yrs and what both could've ended up running as they battled each other at their very best :(

    • @khumokwezimashapa2245
      @khumokwezimashapa2245 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +14

      I'm not gonna lie. I always thought Shericka should've won that 200m in Tokyo and I'll die on that hill.
      When I found out she didn't even make it out her heat. I started raging like Vegeta did after Android 18 beat his ass 😂
      It's a damn shame we might never see them Duke it out in their primes. Man track and field has so many great what ifs.
      What if Gay didn't get injured in 2008 trials?
      What if Asafa Powell had the mental fortitude to compete in finals?

      @@khumokwezimashapa2245 Love Shericka & was pissed off too when she messed up R1 200m @Tokyo '21 by running it way too casually, but she wasn't ready to take on a 21.53 Elaine at that early stage of her short sprints career! Shericka was at best in high 21.7/low 21.8 shape and would've been in contention for the Silver (not Gold) Medal. '22 & '23 would've been the yrs where we would ideally have gotten the fireworks between the 2 in the 200m which would've likely resulted in a new 200m WR!

      Jamaica nor a coach cannot treasure you if you don't treasure and prioritize yourself. ETH has always been suffering from this injury. Coach Francis did not let her run any race to exacerbate it if it wasn't worth it. He had a team that knew how to manage her injury, run few races, rest her and have her amped up for Olympics. Nothing is wrong in changing a Coach, but when you don't have the same knowledge and support to manage that of injury, then there's a problem. I pray for her recovery. The major problem is that she and her new found coach/manager/husband/accountant doesn't have a clue how to manage her injury between races and how to get her race ready. They thought that they know and got enough information from the master to move on their own. But that single most important aspect of his coaching is kept close to his chest and they fooled themselves thinking he had revealed it all to them. Francis and Mills are master practitioner and they will have the last laugh.
